This might not be this place for me to say this but Celina is known by a lot of the finalist bands because of how easy their show is. There weren’t many big hits or interesting moments, the only thing I ever notice is that Celina is clean. I don’t get it but 4a is the only division that I’ve noticed usually has the easiest show so they don’t have to do as much to win. If you look at panther creeks show and Celina’s show, there is a massive difference in difficulty and it makes a lot of us in 4A upset that a boring easy show can win because it’s clean, while other bands work much harder with much more difficult shows and get placed lower.
I’m happy for Celina as I’m happy for every other band, but other finalist bands were really unhappy because Celina’s show didn’t stand out whatsoever, it was easy, and honestly boring, there were no massive hits and truthfully it wasn’t super clean either (which might’ve justified them being higher). There were tons of finalist bands that deserved much higher and should’ve beat Celina.
@@purpleshyguy4721 Respectfully, it's over. The competition has already happened and there's no need to comment on it, especially in a negative manner. All of the finalist band were amazing, as they are in the group of the best in the state. But as someone who marched in Celina's show, there was nothing easy about it. I'm not saying that other bands didn't have harder shows, which is also a debatable topic, I'm just saying that they were all hard and clean and difficult will always beat sloppy and difficult. Not saying any bands were sloppy as I am not a judge, and I personally loved all of the shows. But you should come march the show before you say it's easy.
@@slay7225 1st of all I will tell you that calallen has a hard show. I’m in no place to say anyone’s show is harder or easier than another. But 14 judges across 2 rounds had Celina’s show ranked 1st for content and design
Fellow clarinet from North Lamar, I absolutely loved putting this year's show together! I had the honor to play with these brilliant folks and make it to 4a state finals in the most competitive season of the decade. What an absolute level up from all of the bands that contributed this year ❤🎉
I’m a baritone in north Lamar and it was absolutely amazing how far we got this year and how amazing of a show we had you can see me in the third movement in the small brass ensemble in the back right. 45:23
As someone from Davenport, I am so proud of what we did this year. 6th place last year to 3rd place this year is just crazy
