Hemmm.. as an International viewers who’s not even understand with the language, I think I’m a bit understand why that boy won the battle. Yes, his popularity is so helpful but honestly it’s not only because of that, tbh. Personally it’s for the first I saw this boy sing like this and actually I don’t know who is he except from one of Sketchbook episode I saw his name and he talk about his career also YooHeyeol looks like knows his music and career. Imho, both performances were good especially Ailee gives such a sparkling and have a bigger impacts but I don’t know how to explain but I feels like there’s something “missing” about her performance for that song. I don’t know is it because the song and arrangement is like didn’t gives her best meanwhile that boy was like show his plus points though he’s not even closer to Ailee levels as a singer. I’m quite often watch this show, honestly not the show but only the singingg clips on youtube, I can said that most of the time just like another popular competition among celebrities, it’s not only about singing and waow factor and one of the reason is they’re practically a professional singer, not someone who is nobody knows them. So, if we talk about professional industry than it’s more than just X or waow factor to win the battles. Ailee performance looks like have a bigger impact but in a weird ways, mostly the ex idols have something that interesting to show up for the audiences and left the bigger impression and such a memory to the live audiences. Based on my experiences since a long time ago in music, we had a different feelings, story, and experiences as a viewers on television or any media like youtube with the audiences who stay and listen at the same place and times. The sounds and effects were quite different, esp with the technology. There’s some small nodes or noise that you can’t hear it on live but also somehow you can’t hear it clearly with what they sing live and the only thing we can feel and hear it is the music or some main instruments so it makes harder to feel the song in a particular way. Just like some comments talk about superbowl vibes. And not all the artists that can brings the superbowl vibes means they’re all the better singer (for ppl who’s rooting for superbowl discussion might be know the debate for who is the better singer-performer for superbowl with a lot of argues about the criteria). Just like what happened with the idols, the group who can gives such a strong impacts looks like always have a bigger fanbase and people said that that kind of group are better than the chillin group. After all, it’s an industry so we have a lot of subjective opinions and factor to understand how the system works and this show is on one of that system. ;)

The later you are in the performance lineup, the lesser 'competitors' you have to win to hold on to the throne. Also, Ailee's performance was 2-3 artists before Jaehwan, and hence by the time it reaches the final voting, the audiences would have a diluted impression of Ailee's performance. Nonetheless, both did put up fantastic performances (in fact, the entire line-up of artists put up a great show), and I won't undermine any of their efforts.

What do you know about if I like Ailee or not I use to watch this show more than 4 years ago so 🤷 I watched the full episode that's why am giving my opinions in here, respect about your choice of artist I think 🤔 you pick the wrong one you don't even know all about ailee every Aileeans take care of her because she recently lost her mother, even if she lost her mother she still doing her best 👌 she gives everything on the stage but you never going to understand this or what her fandom do for her. 투표 방식이 어떤지 모르겠지만 결과가 아무래도 팬덤영향이 있나본데.
2층에 팬들 모여있는곳엔 아예 투표권한이 없었고 1층 좌석중 짝수번에 투표기계가 있었음. 랜덤이었던거고 솔직히 우리나라에서 에일리가 인지도훨씬 높지않나..? 방청객중 한명이었는데요. 누가 우승해도 이상하지 않을정도로 모든 무대가 다 현장반응좋았어요!!
It's very weird that Ailee lost. I watched both performances and this boy's one was good but very simple and mundane compared to that of the girl who was like in the superbowl and who made a super high note at the end 🔥🔥 If the audience votes according to the popularity of the singer it is not very objective. Even the boy was surprised to have won 😂
You can't judge the winner from the song. The audiences judged from the voice, the exact notes and overall performance. The fact, Ailee is more popular than Jaehwan. She won a lot from the competition. I think all the audiences knew that fact.
FYI, The audiences for this show are registered fans and general audience. Theres a limited seat for fans (only 200 fans for each artist) and those fans CAN NOT vote. The votes are coming from General Audience only. So theres no biased or such thing as voting according to popularity because all the registered fans can't vote 🫶🏻.
