Good video, thanks for that. Some great roads and scenery, but watch out for those squiggly black lines on the road, they're the slippiest things known to man!!
@@blackswanodysseys it does happen every once on a while I guess- it feels worse than it probably is - still go to know that traction control will kick in at some point to avoid the worst 😉
Thank you very much - I was spending between 35-65 Euros a night I believe - some of the best places I stayed at were at the lower end. Keep in mind that this was off season so prices may be higher in the summer
It seems to me that your traction control should have kicked in when you had your (minor) slide. I wonder if the change in wheel size has thrown off the traction control algorithm. Thanks for another excellent video. 👍👍
Thank you very much Robert. I did not really think of the wheel size issue but it’s a possibility- the ABS does work on both wheels but I have had some minor issues with cruise control turning off on a couple of occasions.
Nice, loving this trip of yours. Can't wait to see more of Durmitor national park in your next upload. Any chance you went to Prevoj Sedlo ( road P14), and to the Black Lake (Crno jezero)? Merry Christmas Oliver. Oh, and what about your bottom, how did you keep your legs warm?
Thank you very much - you guessed it right the next day starts with Prevoj Sedlo 😎 as for the bottom keeping warm I just use an additional layer of clothing. Keeping the core warm and if needed hands and feet is all I need. There are heated pants out on the market for those whose need it 😉 merry Christmas to you too 🎄
@@MotoVibes great! I was hoping you did ever since you uploaded your fantastic ride along the Piva Lake which is literally just below the Prevoj Sedlo (All these routes being on my wish list).
Looks good, however a wide angle of the camera can't show how it really is. Narrow settings will be better for it, but won't show the whole picture... No camera can tell what you see when you're there.
Quite a few dejavu moments from my travels trough those countries. The almost deserted border controls in the middle of nowhere attended by surprised officials, the traffic Police 👮♀️ trying to cheat a bit to just get some bribe, the beautiful scenery and the nearly destroyed roads… as I am Bulgarian, those are things I‘m quite used to, but still it feels adventurous, especially as I am living in Germany for quite some years now. Not so nice are memories in the form of a dent on the Front cast wheel and scratch on the rear. I got those during my trip to Teth in Albania. The memory of the trip is however amazing. My First long Trip with the SAS, more than 3000KM for 4 days, 60 of which off the beaten track. Now as I finally got the spoke wheels, next season I plan to do more light off-road\gravel in Eastern Europe and hopefully Spain .
I really would like to travel this area on more off-road tracks next time. The TET would be a good place to start. Not sure if a big 1290 maybe to big for some section 🤔
I have the same concerns, especially with my limited experience taking such a big bike off the pavement. I think with a little planning and research, it shall be ok for the most part. And when it is not I will just turn around and try to find a paved alternative. What could go wrong 😂
@@OTWW that’s right. A little bit of planning upfront should help to find appropriate tracks for the heavy bikes. It’s getting harder and harder to find legal off-road tracks in Western Europe so the eastern part becomes even more attractive now
