  • This is a re-edited, re-upload of an overgrown sidewalk I uncovered this year. It hasn't been property maintained in over 50 years. Took me a combined 12 hours to complete the whole job. Enjoy!

    This was an amazing job! As an older woman who has fallen a few times on sidewalks that were uneven or broken, you have provided both safety and beauty to the neighborhood.

    This is so uplifting to watch. For me, it’s actually therapeutic. It gives me a sense of peace and is a small antidote to all the troubles in the world today. I see a growing trend by small business landscapers to help the needy in this way-and it’s a beautiful thing.

    I hope everybody that loves their town takes on this trend. It looks wonderful. Would love to see America return to a land where people take pride in their town, family, home, etc. I'm not optimistic, but trying to be the change myself.     This is truly an epic transformation! About the video itself: this was the perfect speed for you to have edited the final video to be seen at. I mainly watch RUclips on an older roku on my television and this RUclips app on this older roku does not have speed adjustment. So watching this video was at the perfect speed to watch the entire video without being tempted to fast forward through any spot. Great job on the work you did here AND on your video editing.

      Even watching it for the second time, it was still a mighty job. I cannot understand why people don't do the edges when they mow the grass. When I did my lawns, I always did the edges first. My mower was a mulcher and it did a great job and there was never a great deal to sweep up after.

    It seems like that yard needs a retaining wall to keep all that off the sidewalk. That sidewalk is huge! What a difference. And I must add that you have the most crisp edging of any YT lawn channel. Merry Christmas to you and your family Fill.

      This yard definitely needs a foot high retaining wall! It would add to property values. Can't imagine why the city didn't do it. Oh wait...budget restraints. Right?

      does it need a retaining wall or does it just need people who care? he just took care of years of neglect. I don't think a retaining walls purpose it to let people be lazy lol but maybe they're.

      Retaining wall is crucial in such kind of works. All the soil and filth will flood the pavement after the first good rain. I saw how it happens.

    i love this! Perfect thing for you to do during the off season. I know its a lot more labor intensive though. One way to cut down on some of the work....scoop it directly into the wheelbarrow instead of placing it in piles and then in the wheelbarrow. small step but saves lots of work

      Why hasn’t the council kept up the pavement? It is their responsibility. That’s what you pay rates for in Australia.

    That edging just blows me away! Had to stop mid-video to give this a thumbs up! Wish I could give it 10 thumbs up. Even an ugly lawn looks great after being properly edged. It took YEARS of neglect for this grass to overgrow the sidewalk. How satisfying to watch the clean up. What a transformation!

    My husband and I bought our first house this year at age 56. Watching your videos inspired me to edge the driveway and we found over 2 extra feet of driveway! I bet that concrete hadn’t seen the sun much past the time the house was built in 1940. It was a very rewarding project so THANK YOU!

    I always appreciate how you clean up so nicely. Some of the landscaper I watch, have good hearts to do the work, but they just toss everything into the yard a mow over it several times.
