On The Trail Of Tragedy: The Excavation Of The Donner Party Site

1992. For many years a plaque has marked the spot where the Donner Party presumably spent their tragic winter of 1846-47 trapped by the heavy snows of the Sierra Nevada. The Tahoe National Forest, working with archeology students from the University of Nevada - Reno, recently excavated this famous site. The project revealed artifacts of these early wagon train travelers and conveys the exhilaration of discovering new insights into one of the most dramatic events in our nation's history.

I Think we all Know what we would Do. I think I would do just what they did to Survive and If I had Kids it would be my Duty as a Father to Keep my Family alive. I would try my best to Conceal this to my Children at the Time but I have no Doubt that I would Do what they say the Donners and Others Did, Yes it would be something Hard to Do.

This is a Amazing story even the People like the Donners and many others had already herd of Stories of People Dying on there Way West for all kinds of Reasons but they Persevered and continued with their Dreams of going west and a New Life. Then People Being People and Gossip they talked about Cannibalism I would Just say that when there is a Chance of Life to continue to Live one has to Do what you have to Do to save your Children and your on self you Children need to have that Life to Continue so People will do what they have to Do I know without a Doubt that I would Have to do the Same in there Situation and altho being something hard to do it would be a Must to Survive and keep your Children and others Alive.
