As a spanish, you'll know when you get an academy player with a basque name. They usually use a lot of k's, double r's... The weirder surname you get, the more basque the player is
In old fifas i always signed player for Bilbao if it was named Inaki, Iker, Ander, Aritz, Mikel or Gaizka for example because they very basque names :D
As an Athletic fan I would advise you to slightly change the Nico clause, because some of our players have a high standard of loyalty and have reiterated that they won't leave for higher wages or a better chance at winning trophies (like Unai Simón himself). This players-fans relationship is also a big part of what makes us unique, and certainly an important reason for Nico deciding not to leave this summer, and that's why imo this clause wouldn't be necessarily realistic as it stands. Either way it's an honour that you take this challenge and I'm gonna be enjoying this series a lot
Si , como kepa ,laporte , Aduriz, Javi Martínez ,llórente , Iñigo Martínez , va no me jodas los más buenos se van como en todos los equipos ,no os hagáis los especiales q vuestro ego es mundialmente conocido 😂
Reject, Athletic rarely sell their players, even stars. Last big player who left club was Kepa in 2018. If you sell him, you have 2 great backups at bench: Padilla and that one with difficult name😂
That last clause isn’t always realistic. Basque players are among the most loyal, the player you mentioned literally decided to stay over moving to Barca. Just put it to release clause or when player reaches close to 90 overall
I'm currently playing a manager career as Athletic too. It'd be really convenient if we had the possibility to scout specifically Basque players from Spain, France and the rest of the world because as it currently stands, the game's Basque name pool is extremely tiny, making your youth academy really weak and a real pain to make it realistic.
Don’t sell Unai since he didn’t leave IRL. I also think you should keep Iñaki AND Sancet. Iñaki basically turned down every big club to stay, and Sancet has a contract until 2032 (I think), so he is most likely staying pretty much until he retires
Great video, i just took inspiration and started this as well! Sancet also got injured in my very first la liga game (3 months)... Side note, since everything else is accurate, you should try to refrain from calling them Bilbao as I'm sure their fans wouldn't appreciate it hahaha.
I'm doing something very similar at the moment, but with SD Eibar. Starting from La Liga 2 and working my way all the way to the Champions League, only using basque players.
release clauses are mandatory in spain and when athletic sell a big player it’s basically always their release clause value. you could adapt to nico clause to take into account the real life release clauses instead.
I have a great career mode Team:Dynamo Dresden League:Bundesliga 3 Budget:3.6m This is a great career mode bringing a team with great fans into Europe after many years of playing try to aim for promotion in the first season and try to maintain a good place in the 2nd Bundesliga and slowly work up to the 1st division in the first season I loaned in a ST and GK ST:Nathan Opoku GK:Will Dennis this will create heavy competition making it much harder to play with many players either on loan or many players they have some older side players being Philip Heiße and Stefan Kutschke being the only 30+ aged players this makes it very fun having some older generation players next work on youth academy and scouts promoting young German players mainly LB and CDM this making future positions easy to not replace and try get as much youth players in making this a great rebuild hopefully you see this and put it on a video 😊
Love the videos mate, great stuff. Ive got a question thats a little unrelated but would like to hear your view. Im trying to make my career mode as realistic as possible. I dont want all my players to end up with 5 star skill moves and 5 star weak foot and i dont want all my players growing ridiculously fast. Should i leave development plans on balanced for realism ? Also what speed of development rate is best for senior and youth players for realism ? Any input would be much appreciated 😊
So long as you can find at least a half decent replacement for Simon for the season, it might be a fun and realistic challenge to let him go. If you can get Kepa next season when his loan runs out then you don't have to worry long term: just a matter of trying to get through the season
Reject, Bilbao don’t sell their players cheap. In fact they rarely sell them at all so if you do sell a star player make sure you squeeze as much out as possible.
For the formation, keep the 4-4-1-1. For the Unai situation of Bayern accept 80/85 milion I think you should accept, but if Bayern offer is less than that, reject
Change the formation to 4213 as a lot of the defensive midfielders at the club are better at CDM than CM and better as wingers rather than wide midfielders.
Idk what the name pool is like for YA this year, but there's never been more than 5-6 Basque names and 2-3 surnames, so checking each scouting report on Chat Gpt is waste. You typically find more Basque names among regens. Iker, Unai, Aitor, Iñaki, Xabi and Ander are all pretty common names that I think are in the game. I wouldn't worry too much about surnames. The only unrealistic name or surname would be something like Humberto, which is not a thing for people under retirement age.
Reject and block all future offers unless you actively want Simón to leave. He wants to retire there and wouldn't be that motivated by bigger wages IRL
change the nicoclause to any bids accepting over 100 million or 150 million, otherwise it will be impossible to get a squad good enough to win anything, you cannot build a squad with only 85 rated players
Why don't you play on pc with mods? Takes the experience to a whole other level. Changing kits each season, controlling ovr, growth, real faces to youth players, change names and everything
Just a little nitpick! I don’t want to be that guy but please it would be very nice if you could refrain from calling us Bilbao. We know it’s the name of our beautiful city and we love it, but it is not the name of our team, just the place it’s from. We had a bit of beef with Simeone last year cause he just wouldn’t call us Athletic haha. Again, it’s just a little nitpick that would be nice, thanks!
With youth scouting, perhaps consider that, as you’ve brought the scouts in, they’re aware of your mission as a manager and therefore all players they suggest are from the Basque region as they wouldn’t bother bringing you anyone who wasn’t.

Kepa Arrizabalaga es vasco?
@kharitonov4088 yes kepa is basque

Reject it, again, he’s gonna be almost impossible to replace. and kepa’s on loan, so you can’t get him.
You can call back loan players at any time.
@@alwinuding8926He means Kepa is on loan at Bournemouth now so he isn’t available to buy.
Reject, Athletic rarely sell their players, even stars. Last big player who left club was Kepa in 2018. If you sell him, you have 2 great backups at bench: Padilla and that one with difficult name😂
Yoo new editing goes crazy
thanks! i started working on this series about 2 weeks ago, so hopefully its more fun to watch
@@Geografifa Great job👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Simon has a long term contract and release clause 126m, so you can reject and wait
That last clause isn’t always realistic.
Basque players are among the most loyal, the player you mentioned literally decided to stay over moving to Barca. Just put it to release clause or when player reaches close to 90 overall
Reject the offer for simon .
I think you should make him Capitan in the future .
Bro, This is too fun to watch... I subbed❤
Nice vid mate
yes i have been waiting for this thank u
Love all the uploads brother
W video bud!

Damn bro has been in the lab with the editing
I have a great career mode Team:Dynamo Dresden
League:Bundesliga 3
Budget:3.6m
This is a great career mode bringing a team with great fans into Europe after many years of playing try to aim for promotion in the first season and try to maintain a good place in the 2nd Bundesliga and slowly work up to the 1st division in the first season I loaned in a ST and GK
ST:Nathan Opoku
GK:Will Dennis this will create heavy competition making it much harder to play with many players either on loan or many players they have some older side players being Philip Heiße and Stefan Kutschke being the only 30+ aged players this makes it very fun having some older generation players next work on youth academy and scouts promoting young German players mainly LB and CDM this making future positions easy to not replace and try get as much youth players in making this a great rebuild hopefully you see this and put it on a video 😊
There is no 3rd Bundesliga. The league is just called 3rd Liga
Technically heir offer 8 + 30 (Upamecano’s worth) isn’t above his value
If it were i would say negotiate but because it isn’t it’s a reject for me
The 4231 formation would be better suited to that game.
Fun video. Subbed to see how it goes.
What camera angle do you use ???
Reject for the sole reason that I love Unai and wanna see more of him
You could make the most of your aging full backs and go to a back 3 so you don't have to buy some
Reject, and block Simon transfers till the end of the season, then Buy Kepa😅
Love the videos mate, great stuff. Ive got a question thats a little unrelated but would like to hear your view.

I would say reject any swap deals and stick to only accepting cash bids over valuation
very interesting idea loving the videos
Editing is niceee

4:46 I did my own VAR check on this and it turns out that Nico Williams WAS NOT OFFSIDE! arms do not count or else he would have been but he was not
Best career mode channel? Yes.
Don’t they only accept bids of the release clause in real life? Give him a high but realistic clause and if it gets met it gets met
Great series, looking forward to this one and trying to get some inspiration myself for a long career mode! Can’t decide! Keep up the great videos
For the formation, keep the 4-4-1-1. For the Unai situation of Bayern accept 80/85 milion I think you should accept, but if Bayern offer is less than that, reject
I would Reject because they technically didn’t Go over value
Athletic trains great goalkeepers, so you should try to negotiate and possibly replace him with Agirrezabala
Change the formation to 4213 as a lot of the defensive midfielders at the club are better at CDM than CM and better as wingers rather than wide midfielders.
What camera settings do you use tele broadcast?

I was doing Bilbao career mode but then i ended it and started new with other team but it was fun

i would reject unai simon deal
Reject it, it's the end of the transfer window and there's not many good goalkeepers who fit the policy
I'll give a 442 flat another opportunity, it works quite well with me. Btw, which camera setting are you using?
It’s not very realistic though
Athletic fans hate being referred as Bilbao, the team is called Athletic Club
So they prefer to just be called sports team
W video
negociate
Gameplay looks great and much more realistic than fc24 here, can anyone tell me with experience if it's worth it to buy?
Why don't you play on pc with mods? Takes the experience to a whole other level. Changing kits each season, controlling ovr, growth, real faces to youth players, change names and everything
You should outright reject this lowball offer for Simon. It's an insult.
I wouldn’t sell big players in January it’s not really realistic
Just a little nitpick! I don’t want to be that guy but please it would be very nice if you could refrain from calling us Bilbao. We know it’s the name of our beautiful city and we love it, but it is not the name of our team, just the place it’s from. Why 4411 and not 4231?
Reject, you won't be able to use Upamaguire and there isn't another class gk that is Basque
reject
You have to accept it you said any player over 85 and They get tranfer offer you Have to accept?
Reject simon wouldnt leave
With youth scouting, perhaps consider that, as you’ve brought the scouts in, they’re aware of your mission as a manager and therefore all players they suggest are from the Basque region as they wouldn’t bother bringing you anyone who wasn’t.
Negotiate
4-2-3-1 is better
Negotiate
Squeeze them for every penny you can
