There will come a time, that you will stand incredulous! That you ever took a drink. "The man takes a drink, the drink takes a drink, the drink TAKES THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greetings from Finland! Thank you for these videos and thank you for your work. They help me to keep questioning myself and move towards recovery. As a 29 year old Uni student, the realization that for the past 7 years the longest time I have been without a single drink was 8 days is daunting to say the least. Since 2009 I've had a nasty habbit of a fift of vodka or whiskey a day just to sleep, and during the weekends the amount was greater. Somehow I managed to half-ass myself forward regardless. It took me multiple bad paranoia attacks, where I would find myself lying on the shower floor, to realize that I can't do this alone. It was 2 years ago and still I find myself drinking. But atleast now I know that I have friends and family who support my recovery, and also the location of my nearest AA. This madness needs to stop before my heart does.

Thank you for sharing this as well as for your support! Quitting alcohol is a hard venture but will in fact be the difference between life and death , it was in my case anyway. You can do it, if you need a medical detox go to the hospital or doctor.. and if you need anything that I can help you don’t hesitate to reach out! ODAAT 💯

Day 13. Today was a rough day with my 22 yr old son saying some hurtful things to me. I could have easily gave in, but I didn’t. Looks like I’ll make it to 14! Feeling pretty good.

Hi Jim, hopefully today is day 15! I can relate to wanting to drink when we hear hurtful words… I’m so happy that you didn’t give in! My wife unfortunately, still breaks me down every chance she gets… I’m definitely not going to drink over it because the only one that will lose is me! Keep doin the damn thing one day at a time! ODAAT 💯

Really appreciate this video. Just an observation - perhaps you are aware of this idea already, in which case I absolutely do not want to come across as condescending or 'righteous' but - absolutely everything you describe about yourself and your mindset (previous mindset?) is very much in tandem, shall we say, with an 'avoidant attachment' style. I wonder if this may be of interest to you? Again, fantastic video and I appreciate your time and effort tremendously.
