What an excellent review. I recently purchased this powerstation and by far this the best review online . Thx

Yes, modified sine wave inverters are less efficient!

That is what I assumed, but thank you for the confirmation!

    great video
I just bought the flashfish A201 I think it's the same but I'd like to know if it's possible to charge it with the flashfish 100w solar panel

Unfortunately not. The A201 only accepts up to 15v and the 100w panel outputs @ 18v. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.

    Its ‎6"L x 4.3"W x 6.8"H to be exact.

Not a bad little unit for just over $100. Every power station should have pass through charging nowadays though. I also wished manufacturers reported their capacity more accurately

Everything you stated is so true. I would be so much more useful if it had passthrough charging. Thanks for the comment.

Great review. I may have missed it, but did you verify if you can use the A/C & DC outlets while charging from the solar.
BTW, I suspect you can plug a Ryobi battery into the solar port, and it will charge the unit. The input of the solar plug-in is around 18v and has a charge controller in the GoFort, then you should be able to just plug a Ryobi battery into it and charge it up in 2.5 hours (with a 9Ah battery). If you have pass thru charging with solar charging, theoretically, you can plug-in batteries into the solar port and keep the unit going indefinitely by replacing the Ryobi battery every time it depletes. That would make that little unit very useful. Thanks for reviewing the GoFort A201.

Unfortunately the 12V DC plug and the AC outlets don't work while charging. I believe only the USB ports work.
You're right. connecting a 18v Battery directly to the charging port would work since it can accept the voltage. Thanks for the comment.

@@OffGridBasement so, the unit can't be used even when plugged into solar! That's too bad.

That GoFort Power Staion is really cool! It may not be the most efficient, but would be great for outside or inside like you demonstrated. A fun little unit!

It’s junk. If it doesn’t have a pure sine wave inverter and pass thru charging, and LiFePo4, then it’s a waste of $. Better choices out there for only a small amount more $.

I like it for the fact that it is super portable! Thanks for the comment.
