I think the tourney is gonna be decided in Semis actually.
Theres 3 scenarios:
1. USA and Germany meet in Semis - USA wins and goes to finals and eventually grand finals - germany goes through losers bracket and faces USA in grand finals and would probably lose, even if its close, due to winners side advantage
2. USA and Germany meet in Semis - Germany wins and goes to finals and eventually grand finals - usa goes through losers bracket and faces germany again in grand finals - germany wins bc they obviously can (since theyve already won in semis in this scenario AND have winners side advantage)
3. Germany somehow messes up against SK or UK and ends up in losers before even meeting US in semis, would result in US win like in scenario 1
Whoever it is, if the team from losers bracket somehow wins grand finals that would honestly be a HUGE messup by the winners side team
Although it is a lil unrealistic, I would love to see a Canada GF

@@maopo2680 This tournament is organized based on the "double elimination" process, meaning that during the K.O. phase, the losing team of each match is not knocked out of the tourney entirely, but is moved to the losers bracket, where they play against the other teams that have been knocked out. So the losers of Round 1 will play against each other, with the winners then playing against the losers of the Winners bracket of round 2 and so on. In the Grand Finals the winner of the Winner's Bracket (aka the team that won the Winners side finals) plays against the winner of the losers bracket, but because itd not really be fair to give the winner side and loser side equal chances in the grand final, the winner side usually only has to win once in the grand final, while the losers side has to win TWICE in grand finals to win.

My grand finals prediction is Canada facing off against US, and US winning by a small margin.
Assuming Canada doesn't come across Russia (whom has underperformed in most OWCs but has managed to beat Canada every time in the last few years) or Germany, which I can see happening eventually but not in the earlier stages since they lucked out on their bracket. They've had a few close matches with Australia in the last few years as well (Especially 2018, that was fun to watch). Canada is a good team, but is top 6 material at most imo

I'd disagree, especially after getting swept by USA in semis
They may have whitecat, but rank doesn't really mean much in tournaments, even if whitecat is an amazing all rounder, solo performance and tournament performance are two entirely environments of play. This is still his first major tournament afaik
Vaxei isn't one of the scariest tournament players because of his performance in solo, he's one of the scariest tournament players because he's proven time and time again how well he can perform in a tournament, even against the top tournament players of all time (look no further than the finals of gameosu against bubbleman where both played absolutely out of their minds) and as far as my knowledge goes I don't think he's ever lost a team tournament.
Germany is still an amazing team this year, and they still have famous tournament beasts like dustice, and they may be able to put up a fight with the USA if they meet again in bracket. But I think the USA has all that Germany has, and some more which gives them the edge.
However I'm really excited to see whitecat's tourney performance in the years to come
He certainly shows promise of becoming another tourney beast given enough polish and experience
