Not at all, MOST crowds only dance to what they have heard over & over & over again ..; thats cause most peps are followers.. plus haters..; I'm enjoying his set ! Thanks Thom & Boiler Room, LOVING the track at 9:13 screaming me head off at the wicked track at 10:36
after watching this so so many times over the years, I genuinely believe that this is the crowd’s problem and not thom’s they aren’t feeling it even before the music begins to play. you can see a few people try to loosen up and influence others but everyone remains so extremely rigid all the way to the end
I'm actually impressed. He actually has a style. Most celebrities just Jesus pose this stuff. He actually seems to do this as a hobby. This was a legit show.
Reminds me of that set of Dj Shadow when he was thrown out of the club by the organisers…. Which set became incredibly popular and respected! It takes time to understand bright minds!
Surprisingly good! Who'd have thunk it? One did not know he could 'spin the wax'! Should be two hours though! Not thirty minutes.! Thank you Boiler Room and Thom Yorke. Exemplary session as ever.
I love how the people like awkwardly go crazy after he plays something with a heavy bass line and then stop and then just wait for the next time he drops one
After watching 15 min I realized why it took so long to youtube to recommend this. I wasn't ready. Even today I, feel I'm not ready for this experimental vinyl set.
Kinda listened this years ago, and "i think" that i didn't like it or didn't understand it, but now i have integrated a lof of experimental music, from all genres, even Radiohead that it suprised me with their whole catalogue, and now listening this set feels like the holy grail, it's amazing, very well crafted and created, such a shame nobody in the crowd was digging this, can't blame them either, but u can definitely tell Thom Yorke it's a music nerd
I have to admit his skills aren't great though... this is just an example of playing one record after another. You can't even seriously speak of transitions apart from 15:50 to 24:20... Setlist is nice by the way.
ThelemicMagick I know what you mean. If you want an amazing seamless transitional set, Force of Nature's at Tokyo Boiler Room is amazing. The track they play around 1hr42mins has been stuck in my head all week (Egyptian Nipples - Back But Half (Lauer Remix))
***** Just want to let you know I never post on RUclips until now. I read your comment about Force's of Nature's Tokyo Boiler Room about a month ago and I've listened to it probably twice a day since then. Never even heard of them before but it's one of the best mixes I've ever heard. Arigato my friend!
I don't get why people are slagging Thom Yorke off... 1. He fronts a very successful band, is a genius musician... 2. He doesn't DJ professionally like your John Digweed's and Sasha's... He's probably been asked to do a guest mix... And why not? Least he's trying? 3. He's on vinyls so I like this raw edge... Least he's keeping it pure I respect him Granted it's not the tightest mix... But he's done ok in my opinion

boiler rooms usually have shitty crowds. but this one takes it to a new level of shit. is like "there is thom yorke, in front of me making aDJ set! I think I will ignore him and watch my phone while getting drunk."
+alejandro granados If I were there...I´d be so excited! Dammit!
+alejandro granados it's just banal hipsterism.
+alejandro granados this is in every boiler room vid and i havent even chcecked but im sure its there. no its not a lie. this place brings in some good performing talent. what the fuck is wrong with the audience. where do they find these fucking people. im more active right now sitting down and typing this shit bumping my head to this shit
you are probably the fucking hipster of pooiler room with that hipster pigeon avatar
+alejandro granados someone fire the guy with the phone
5:47 Thom is like ''bloody hell, do they have ears? or a heart at least?''
I LOVE THOM YORKE!!! I spin all the time and its mostly me/myself:& i whos dancing more then the crowd! Do i care? Not at all, MOST crowds only dance to what they have heard over & over & over again ..; thats cause most peps are followers.. plus haters..; I'm enjoying his set ! Thanks Thom & Boiler Room, LOVING the track at 9:13 screaming me head off at the wicked track at 10:36
Bouncer: “Do you know who Thom Yorke is?”
Punter: “No idea”
Bouncer: “Perfect. Come in”
30:21 How to disappear completely.
👏
@@Bandstand didn't expect to see you here
@@ParanoidalDyslexia if you browse music RUclips you kinda just expect him to be here
Madlib x Doom
The Doom ending was perfect RIP
after watching this so so many times over the years, I genuinely believe that this is the crowd’s problem and not thom’s
they aren’t feeling it even before the music begins to play. you can see a few people try to loosen up and influence others but everyone remains so extremely rigid all the way to the end
I'm actually impressed. He actually has a style. Most celebrities just Jesus pose this stuff. He actually seems to do this as a hobby. This was a legit show.
bruh this is thom yorke..
bro thom yorke isn't a celebrity, he's a musician haha
😂😂😂😂
Reminds me of that set of Dj Shadow when he was thrown out of the club by the organisers…. Which set became incredibly popular and respected! It takes time to understand bright minds!
a great example of hoescaring playlist
Hehehehe
lol true

Top the top u go my hero
WTF is up with the crowd? I think I would drop dead from a heart attack if I were that close to Thom.
Weak performance
me too 😂
i would be sad if one of my idols sucked so much in front of me
Strong performance, it's just that he wasn't as JUMP AROUND LEMME SEE YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR energy as the others.
+Aditya Srinivasulu oh come on he really mixes badly
I've seen many boring crowds but this one is spectacular. I hope you guys are still standing there.
This would sound way better with dancing people and stroboscope lightning in the background.
this is one of my top 5 youtube comments of all time.
You are right!
agreed!! a bunch of ninties shit boys drinking.. never a good look
No dude, It wouldn't change a bit the sound of it, it would change the look of it. Get your perceptions right.
@@tologuecaThats the point of the comment
Surprisingly good! Who'd have thunk it? One did not know he could 'spin the wax'!
Should be two hours though! Not thirty minutes.!
Thank you Boiler Room and Thom Yorke.
Exemplary session as ever.
This is fenomenal. I cannot believe I didn’t know about this. Can’t stop replying.
Just looks like a load of people waiting for the bus😂
thom, your choice of music is awsome! love! danced the hole thing with my headphones at my home
Thom is the cutest ever.
i think this is not a mix made for dance in a party, is a mix to listen in your own house while you're alone and high
I think that's the core problem with Thom as a DJ. He's the type of guy to be okay with spacing out.
A party isn't the place to be spacing out...
Just sitting here high and alone wondering why are these people so bummed out.
Nice joke :D
@@STOPPEDINCOLORADO a party isn't the place to spacing out?
Tried it. Still poor.

DJing not always means dancing, sometimes you just have to enjoy the music!
im deeply in love with thom yorke
28:55
thom sure knows how to dance like a mom
bro really played To Cure a Weakling Child and expected everyone to dance
bruh it's one of AFX's most dancable songs wdym?
I love how the people like awkwardly go crazy after he plays something with a heavy bass line and then stop and then just wait for the next time he drops one
28:35 - Madvillain (Madlib & MF. DOOM) - America’s Most Blunted (With Lord Quas) :D
Thom is such a dude for building up a drop and then dropping America's Most Blunted to end the set with lmaooo
Holger Danilchenko yes
just to see if people wake tf up jaja but nope
im laughing at those who wanted this to be a regular dj set
It’s funny that the person having the most fun here is just Tom himself lmao
I think if you actually listen to this and don't watch the video of people doing nothing it's actually very good.
yeh except the mixing of the tracks.
The exact opposite. DJ is just not Thoms thing.
Must be IDM then, the kind of music you listen to and not dance with
the music is not too danceable..but it is a high selection eclectic quality
@@teamyordle23 idm is danceable but in a dark and sad way.
He's so casual here , love it dude's worth so much, priceless
Thom playing Aphex Twin, class
Jamie XX playing Bloom (Radiohead)
Thom Yorke playing Aphex Twin
Yes, Thom has always stated Aphex Twin as a huge inspiration for Radiohead’s now famous Kid A.
After watching 15 min I realized why it took so long to youtube to recommend this.
I wasn't ready.
Even today I, feel I'm not ready for this experimental vinyl set.
I'm in love with Thom.... again...
I know the feeling..
Was listening to this in the office while working, having a little dance, in the zone and was very surprised to look up and see this crowd's reaction
Aphex Twin? DOOM? Thom Yorke has such good taste. Genius always recognises genius.
I love this set by tommy. I first heard it many years ago but it's still one of my favorites!
This is such a strange video.. Poor Thom, people aren't feeling his vibe
Daniel Martin totally agree
Daniel Martin maybe because he wasn't that good
OH POOR THOM
This bitch right behind TY has spent the whole set typing on her fucking cellphone.
He's playing so bad!!
People shouldn't be too surprised, since Thom Yorke started dj-ing in the Lemon Grove club (Exeter) back in 1988.
No problem! Yeah what a set. Have you ever heard Plaid? They are the best electronic artists out there at the moment. Just listen to 'Reachy Prints'
***** Who determines their greatness? It's one thing to say they're your favourite, it's another thing to claim they're "the best".
Thom is one of a kind. I would have been vibing to this set. 💜
Thom is amazing, you can feel his soul in everything he does.
The Doom ending was fucking perfect Rest easy Villain
Thom dancing to America’s Most Blunted makes me really happy
5:40 when he turns around and sees nothing but zombies
Thom educating the masses
wow I didnt knew tom yorke made dj sets.
this is beautiful
Yo who are these people 😭😭I would have been in tears
they’re calling it the worlds straightest crowd
Yorke finished with that MADVILLIAN enough said
28:00 that killer madvillain and dancing at the end
I don't get why people are slagging Thom Yorke off... 1. He fronts a very successful band, is a genius musician... 2. He doesn't DJ professionally like your John Digweed's and Sasha's... He's probably been asked to do a guest mix... And why not? Least he's trying? 3. He's on vinyls so I like this raw edge... Least he's keeping it pure
I respect him
Granted it's not the tightest mix... But he's done ok in my opinion
People are assholes, member?
You know it makes sense
ITS NOT VINYL. ITS SERATO
I think he used to be a dj before becoming succesful with radiohead
12 years later this masterpiece is on my feed, wow
