If it’s political vs religious and the politics don’t concern Canada, I agree that it shouldn’t be allowed in the house where we should be focusing on Canada. @@ronstephen72 exactly because turbans and yarmulke are part of a religion, not a political statement. The scarf doesn’t have a religious purpose it’s just used to draw attention to the war and is an unnecessary distraction in the house. They’re allowed to wear it outside.

Holding civilian non-combatants as human shields is a war crime- just like murdering and kidnapping and raping civilian non combatants. Please also understand that there is a federal ministry responsible for articulating Canada’s position on this war. And that the Province of Ontario is NOT responsible for foreign policy issues.
If Pres Zelenskyy can address and motivate the chambers in regards to the Ukrainian conflict, then it’s a bit hypocritical to say Jamma can’t show her support for other issues happening abroad
