Hey traders, please don't take any of the prop firms or the EAs I show in my videos as a recommendation. We never know which prop firm will scam the traders and we never know which EA will fail. After publishing the video, I saw that the Forex Gold Investor failed in my 200k Funded account as well, so I would definitely not trade it before they update it with the necessary protections. Also, I am testing a few more Prop Firms because I wasn't happy with the withdrawal I received from Infinity. Trade safe, guys!

I suffered in my personal live account and Darwin as well. Over ~28% in one single day.
Lost 3 challanges on friday because of this impact. But i had a Look to the months after 05/23. This never happend before at 17:00... 😢

If you watch the video until the end, you will see I recorded an update, as the original video was recorded before the weekend when the huge drawdown was experienced. Our accounts also suffered between 90 and 100% losses

Hi Petko, about the infinity withdrawal. You can’t request just 5k out of 20k…they will restart every account after a withdrawal request…if you’re above 5k for the month stop the ea and wait till the withdrawal day

We no longer share our settings, because if things go wrong, we get blamed. We recommend you contact the developer with your exact requirements and request a custom set file
It happened to me as well, the EA needs a Daily loss limit. Because a DD some times doesn't apply if is not all at once.
We have spoken to the developers who are working on an update to include additional daily DD and other protections
Hi Petro. I used your setfile for a prop firm and I remember there is a Drawn down protection on it. Your set file was 4% and I manually made it 2% and that saved my ass in this case. So my question was will be different with a Daily drawn protection. And maybe an idea for a video would be what is a profitable DD protection to make this EA profitable in the long term. So far it gave me the best result overall of all my ea.
My friend, do you mean that you set a limit for the total decline of the account through the expert settings at 4 percent or 2 two percent of the total account?? Can you help me if I use this option? @@osamabic7744 check in setting of the ea under extra rules there is a option called : maxaccountDD.
There you put the max % you like to have a Drawdown on your account. And yes it works that is reason I didn’t blow my account and only lose 2%
We did have drawdown protections in place, however, it seems they either didn't activate, or they reset when they should have suspended trading for 24 hours. As mentioned, the developer is aware of this, looking into it, and they have told us it will be fixed with the update

Each prop firm is different. In our case, we requested a custom set file, and changed several settings to make our entries and exits more unique. But, as you will know if you've watched our recent videos, we no longer recommend prop firms, we simply show you our results trading with them. Because they are all unregulated, there is never a guarantee that you'll receive your payout when you request it

The FGI opens long and short positions, however, looking at the stats there are many more buy than sell orders

On 12th April, it lost it all at the end of the day when gold corrected. Luckily I was awake and stopped the EA so was at BE.

I agree, our trading style is low-risk, and we prefer trading smaller profits with less risk
Our account wasn't destroyed because of the risk we employed, but rather because there was an issue with the expert advisor settings, which the developers are looking into and fixing
I was lucky due to the UTC in my country I was looking the bot working in its first day and I decided to turn it off at the second lost trade

You can trade Gold in the US, however, the FIFO (First In First Out) rules applies, so you cannot open positions in the opposite direction until you close all other positions first

As mentioned, we have been in contact with the developer. We are not sure why the trades continued opening, and are awaiting further feedback from them. The fact that it didn't happen in the backtest means there was an issue with the code, but as I am not a programmer, I cannot say what exactly that was
I was about to pass the challenge in my 200K and got 215K but last Friday every thing gone 😢

Yes, they will refund you if you are within the refund period.

There are a lot of reasons why you see poor results. The best would be to try backtesting the EA on M1, open prices only, and refresh all charts by pressing the Home Key. Also, could you reset the settings of the Robot? Once I record a video about the updated settings, I will include the backtest process and results

Gold Investor update is out. I made various backtests and best is to set the currency DD to 4% daylie e.g. 400 in 10.000$ account and 1 hour pause, if there are loosing trades. It is the best. Not 4% as percentage, if 5% is meant to initial balance.
Unfortunately, when I do a backtest, it does not show me the same decline that occurred on Friday. It only shows me that it has won without showing that there is any defect. In the beginning, when I ran a backtest, it only showed a drop once, but when I retested it, I didn't see any glitches, and I don't know the reason yet. Can you find out why the defect did not appear in the backtest, specifically on Friday?
@@osamabic7744 Because they made a new optimization with the new version so that you don't see past losses. You can't trust the backtest.

Daily DD protection will probably make things worse if you insist on trading Gold with such a low balance, especially if you are unlucky with your first positions. $200 account is just too small for trading Gold. There is simply not enough room for any EA to trade comfortably.
That is a good point, however, with some brokers, we are able to trade very small lot sizes, and is this is not a grid martingale system, we don't need as much margin available

I was lucky using 0.33 risk per trade on both systems, first time reaching 3% DD using this safe setfile.
I will be reducing the risk per trade even more

The Reason i did not purchase the Forex Gold Investor - because it doesn't have a Max Daily Drawdown Setting. 😬 That Feature is critical!
The developers never had a drawdown like this before. I agree, and have spoken to them about it, but they didn't feel it was necessary. They realise now, it is

I didn't suffer too much losses, only down 4%. I saw it doing almost the same thing last week on Thursday night. So I put on a Account Protector EA. It helps alot. When the equity hit 4% it closes the terminal and remove all charts.

I've got a huge loss on friday 2024/04/12. Strategy 2 can't handle gold sell offs. There were alarms but there was no stop of trading after 4 consecutive or more losses. Not good for auto trading. This is defenitively missing from this bot! I wan't to see the losses on all of the myfxbook accounts!
Same here. Huge losses on teh 12nd of April and even the drawdown percentage wasn't respected by the EA and lost even more than that.

I asked them for more protections prior the Friday. And because such DD never happened to this EA the vendors didn’t think it’s necessary. Now they know

@bostjan.gajsler, I agree. They are working on the updates already, and we're hoping they're released this week. Except for what happened on Friday, the EA has performed exceptionally well since it started trading

Why are you saying now? I am attaching my Master Account where 1% was set for auto MM as you showed, and the Max Account was at DD4%! It did the first and second phase, then the next night I failed the Master account because of it..... And thank God it didn't take my 1 million account, because I turned it off for the evening! There are errors with this robot!!
I'm not saying trash, I'm just saying BE CAREFUL! I say from experience! Account DD was set for me and it took my master account! You can find the picture of it in your Forum at the ea trading academy, I attached it there!
As mentioned, the developers will be addressing these issues with the update being released soon. This was the first time this kind of DD happened

Why do you find it misleading? At the end I shared exactly what happened.
The FGI developers released an update - and I plan to put in the service to help manage potential drawdown starting this week.
Fortunately, my live accounts with FGI were rather limited in draw down, running 1/8 to 1/3 the recommended risk.
What’s the update EA shakes out a little bit I love to see another video with an update.
