We’ve been chipping through our clean ups thankfully, but I hear some of you are dealing with snow lol. Not cool! You guys doing clean ups this week or putting them plows back on?
I'm 68 an I started my lawncare 35 years ago. I got stage 4 melanoma back then and the doctors gave me 6mouths. So I knew nobody hire me so I started my lawncare. And I love it. I eat organic and excerize all day. I'll like to 104 like Steve Havey says. Thank You for your energy and teaching us new things. I bought an exmark and I'm blown away how well it cuts and operates. I've had toros . But I lessoned To You and that's what helped my decision. After all these years I've felt professional or good at it . But now my energy up like Your
The other thing is. This will push the leaves further back into the forest to allow room for many more years and also the customers don’t see a big wall of leaves on the border
I just bought the Ferris venture xc3200. Stand on spryer spreader. I haven’t received it yet but I’m sure that is a game changer. We run stander mowers( Wright zk ) because of ditches and hills. Everything will be stand on for us.
Looks like a great machine but i couldn't begin to justify the cost of it. Like you said. Unless you have a lot of large and commercial properties it just isn't worth it. I could buy (2) 36" stand on mowers for that 12k.
I feel the same way you do so what I'm going to do is just stick with my Jericho blower buggy I can just put my leaf blower on that and do my Lawns on big properties
This is another reason the toro multiforce is worth it price tag. The blower for multiforce is no joke. Once the aerator attachment comes out in the fall, the multiforce will be giving ventrac a run for their money.
Rented a older version over the weekend. Saved me six hours over a back pack blower. Had about 125 hours and it was getting a tad tired and warn out and hydros were slower and it was thirsty 4 gallons in less than two hours. So worth it!
love my z3. It’s a lot of money but worth every penny. I’m also going to see how it works on grass clippings on accounts where they fertilize and have sprinkler system and after double cutting still need to be blown off. So you can really use it all year long.
Gary Adams here. I bought a Ferris and loved it. It took the place of two men. But after 17 hours the pulley system broke. Only two small bolts hold it together.
In my area leaf season is only about 4-6 weeks. It’s just hard to pay for that with such a short season compared to mowing season. It would stay parked at shop 90 percent of the year! Such a one trick pony in my opinion. Great for multiple truck/people operation. I’m just one truck. Awesome video and blower!!!!
I’ve been running a Billy goat self propel f13 for years and we love it but I think I’m going to get the z3000. Even with the self propel on the f13 you have to pull it back by hand and it does have limitations but tge f13 is a game changer so the z3000 is out of this world lol
Definitely a cool machine. I could use this for some of my commercial accounts like blowing a two mile sidewalk on a park I cut. We currently use our zero turns to blow them but if the grass is just a little wet we have to walk it with our blowers. Yeah $12000 is a nice chunk of change but what in our industry doesn’t cost a lot? You new guys will learn, it takes money to make money. Now I’m just waiting for a stand on edger/trimmer so I can be all around lazy lol. But great video, keep up the good work!
awesome video brian i just bought a z 3000 a few weeks ago what a game changer. i can tackle my cleanups practicly by myself with this monster, i did a lawn that last year took me 4 hrs to do in 1hr 15 mins im very happy with it subbed also great vids
Great video Brian and Brandon, I am going to buy one of those this fall! I am sadly stop doing mulch insulation’s and put the plows back on the dump truck and the box plow on the skid steer preparing for over a foot of snow! ☹️
If you were doing a large yard that has a wooded area next to it that I can see giving one of these in fact if you had several large properties the happy wooded area next to it
The resale on these machines is very high also. So after 5-10years if you decide to sell you will get good money. Where you can really make money is not only the time you save but the extra jobs you can do now. Save a few hours get a few hundred dollars more per day by doing more jobs
Hey Brian. I like the idea of single use equipment, but I'm also thinking - why not use a Stihl 800, Husky 8020, and run it on a stander. You might need to make a few more passes, but standers run at 10+ mph. Save 12k and invest in employee health care or a nice bonus. Of course save it to bottom line for smaller crews. Joe Carleo - A+ Lawn Care of Stallings
In my opinion it's worth every penny. It's not only about saving time it's about saving the physical strain on your body that translates to increased productivity overall, for that day, the week, heck the year if you really, really do the math.😁
This is my viewpoint of this. For the people who are saying it isnt worth 12k, step back and look at it a different way. Rather than thinking, "what will this cost?" "Think, what will this save me?" This machine will run for 10 hours straight with no hiccups. Employees get fatigued overtime, which can make them work slower, or even a higher turnover rate in labor. you pay your employees, you pay taxes on them, you pay benefits, all these all add up. I own an hurricane and its saved me so much time its not even funny. The balls the machine has is equal to 5 backpacks of guys. Now i can either fire those 5 guys, send them to do other jobs, or because of the labor shortage, not even have to search for help and just run this. Up here in New England, fall cleanups is where we can make some serious money. Average sized houses around here we can get $500-$1200 a house. 10th cleanup in you already paid it off making profit. Sure if your doing tiny yards for 200 bucks, this is a little overkill, but when you start doing massive cleanups with backpacks and tarps, this is something to consider.
Yep I am more convinced after running it for 2 weeks. Folks who make ignorant comments are just that.. ignorant. Ignorance can be cured with information. But if people want to bash that’s fine. We’re making a. g a day doing clean ups, like we really care if someone doesn’t want to adopt using a unit like this lol. I can see it assisting us and making cleanups even more a cash cow, just like you said. Thanks for sharing.
While these are expensive, this type of machine isn’t going to have as many hours as a ztr would a season. I personally feel with proper maintenance and taking care of it (which you would) it can easily last 10 years and it would be a good investment. There is probably different models that are cheaper but probably have less power. I say buy it!
that's kind of high you can but spend a little less and get it just is good quality but you buy what you need for the work and you need but don't get in debt for it so that's up to you you never know what you would spend because you never know what you're going to need but there's no limit on what you going to spend on equipment meet is what you can afford a wood you think you can afford a need so there's no answers to that question about how much you guys been on somethingtake care of you choose because they take care of you that the money maker take care of each other take care of yourself good luck everyone
I do agree with you that it is a good investment provided you have enough accounts to justify purchasing it. Personally, I prefer to do smaller properties that are easier to manage and require less/smaller equipment. More bang for your buck. Bigger properties like that: I would refer the client to ather landscaper who has a blower like that and want bigger accounts. They do the same by referring me for smaller properties they dont want.
I would say that the operator needs to learn how to operate the Z with one hand and wear a backpack blower using the right hand to make use of a backpack blower so that when the operator comes up to a tree/obstacle they can hit that obstacle at a different angle with the backpack blower nozzle to either direct the leaves/debris away from the obstacle or towards the Z blower nozzle.
Hey Brian, Looking for a mulcher bagger system for my kabota zero turn. Just wondering if you or any of your viewers know which product I should use. Thanks
Can you make a video on y oh r truck/trailer setup 2019? I saw on insta you bought some new stuff, including Echo products, and would like to see them all soon
Problem is that many landscapers invest big $ in equipment like this for 1-2 jobs then the clients drop you because they either find someone cheaper or buy a tractor and start doing it themselves. For 5 acres of property, I would only make an investment like this if the client was paying me $500 per cut and I had a long-term contract. Otherwise, I'd drop the account.
It looks awesome but $12,000 (its tough to bite that bullet) BUT - you're already shaving 2 hrs off this property alone. If you've had it for this many years then it's kind of gonna pay for itself within a 2 yr time span
Hey Brian, nice job with the videos. How would this machine be beneficial if you couldn't blow everything to the tree line? Like say there was a fence along the property or a neighbor directly adjacent to the property? or even on a commercial site?
Commercial and large acreage properties, no bloody brainer. Better have more than a few of those accounts though, yeah? 12K is a boat load of ducets....damn those justifying numbers. Beautiful machine though.
For people who start a business in law care, I want to get cards made and shirts and all that. U got your name on the trailer , do you need to get that business registered or whatever? Give them all backpacks and have them walk all day and then ask them if it's worth it. Instead of multiple guys blowing off all day it's a one-man job at a fraction of the time. @@modogg2008 on big properties like that, it is completely justified. But let's be honest, most guys watching this video aren't doing properties that large.
