Here's a tip for using macros that announce raise/invuln in party chat. Put your /ac in the second line before the /p line and add a at the end of the /ac line. That will allow you to spam the button to make sure it doesn't fail and it won't spam party chat because once you press the macro again it resets that 1s timer before the /p message goes out.
@@cosmicneko7225 I wouldn't recommend this as your putting a 1second delay on the ability itself, use the wait timer after the line that uses the skill and then after the wait timer you do the Party chat.
As a healer main in FFXIV, mouse-over macros for healer skills are life. All I have to do is bring my mouse cursor over to the party member's name in the party window and bam, they're being healed and I haven't even switched targets. That was something I was taught in Heavensward and it still works today. Example: /micon "Cure" /ac "Cure"
Similar to healbot, clique or, of course, mouseover macros in WoW, it sounds like. Been a Healbot boy for years myself. Surprisingly, I find healing with a gamepad super easy in this game, which makes me glad. I can do the nerd hunch when healing in WoW, and the slob slouch when healing in FFXIV. Soft-targeting (where you choose a target with the D-Pad, but don't hit the confirm button to properly "select" it, so you use a single ability on that target and it deselects it, like a sort of weird mouseover macro but for gamepads) is a godsend for this reason. I find it kind of sad that FFXIV's default friggin' CONTROLLER healing is infinitely more usable (to me) than WoW's default KB&M healing UI, and I don't count mouseover macros as part of the default UI. Sorry for the rant, just haven't really talked about this subject much.
I just wonder, since a lot of people tell me macros are nice for healers, currently I only use a Macro for Instant Raise. But people told me as healer macros would blow my mind, did they may spoke of the mouse over macros? I'm more a keyboard user and user F1-F8 for my heal targets and dont see the benefit of focusing to search for the player on the battlefield - or do i missunderstand these macros?
@@MrPetschko Mouseover also works with the party list (default towards the top left of the screen). I know some people who prefer to heal a focus target and have keybinds to set the focus target to their party members by number. The point is: use what works for you without sacrificing dps and healing ability.
Gotta go old school. I got a SAM LB macro with this snippet. Too bad i can't make the sexy sax play for everyone in the group or minds would be blown: ruclips.net/video/KXOCzB35kFY/видео.html
I personally think raise macros are HIGHLY underrated. Even a simple lets your potential co-healer/rdm/smn know you're raising so they don't do it at the same time.
Yeah, I've lost too many Swiftcasts on SMN, when I thought healers were too busy keeping others alive, only to see the raise effect just as I was about to push raise. Then healer dies just after Swift goes to cooldown and other healer has no mp to raise.
This is the reason I'm watching this video. Once I saw other healers use those macros saying a fallen player's name, it helped me from raising the same ones and wasting Swiftcast.
@@amandoboop Same. I made a generic one and used it for all my raisers (WHM, SCH/SMN [can be identical, I believe], RDM, and AST [order I leveled them]). It's just too useful and the first time I saw someone use one, I was like "This is super helpful! I didn't blow Swiftcast! Huh, maybe I should make one of those..." It also lets you have a little fun with Job flavor. I don't really play AST, but I love my AST one's message: "/party ! I have read your fate from the Stars! Today is NOT the day you fall!! {Arise}!!" Something about that one just gives me goosebumps. I've made a Job specific one for each of them since (I used to just use "/party C'mon, , ya gotta get up! {Raise}", which is the quote from Mickey Mouse in Kingdom Hearts 2 when he revives Sora if you get that to happen - I still use this one for RDM), but none of them feel so damn epic as the AST one. Which is sad considering that's the healer/reser I actually play the absolute least and only just got to 80 recently. XD
i use the same thing for ninjas "gap closer" so if i want to get to someone(like the boss) fast i just click the macro, if i want to go somewhere where there is nothing (like escaping an AoE) i can just untarget and then click the macro to use it in the normal ground target way. also there is a line, "/acerror" or something like that (maybe "off" too) that disables the "ability not ready yet" message you get when telling a macro to use the same ability twice like this.
@Amadox that is if your condensing multiple DIFFERENT abilitys into the same macro, since the order is not 100% perfect, but when modifying a ground targeted spell like this, it's no problem that i know of. which ever line triggers first you'll still use in on the target if you have one, or go into ground targeting mode if you don't have one, since your unlikely to be able to confirm a place on the ground before the other line triggers even if they go in the wrong order, and the ~0.5 internal cooldown dosent apply before you actually used an ability so it wont be a problem if all the lines refer to the same ability since you'll only cast it once before the cooldown starts.
@Amadox Sorry, haven't tried that since and normal ground targeting fill all my needs so far. I guess you could make a macro like that, and then try it out a couple of times in some far-off deserted area and in a crowded city too see how reliable it is in low and high latency settings,.. Then again if you use , you can just have the mouse over the target/self (click-on-self might have to be enabled in settings for that to work) instead of having the or if its not reliable enough ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Back in storm blood; I ran into a dark knight that had a macro for dark arts; so the entire chat quickly filled with “Embrace the darkness!” “Embrace the darkness!” “Thy hate consume!” The screenshots were golden though.
My static DRKS done that to piss off our healer so he pmd me and i did it too for my F4s as a blm our healer was yelling and screaming at us it was funny
Smash Brother that reminded me of how monster hunter encouraged this by having some default messages for a bunch of things that you can change or turn off
my favorite healer macro for my direct heals and esuna is. /macroicon "spell" /ac "spell" /ac "spell" /ac "spell" This causes the spell to go off on whoever im mousing over first even mousing over names of people in other alliance raid groups. This allows me to keep the boss targeted to see what abilities they are casting while also healing / removing debuffs. If I dont have anyone moused over it will go off on my target. You can also hold down right shift to disable mousover completely causing it to prioritize target. Now if i dont have a target or someone moused over it will cast it on me instead. There are things you must be cautions of though with this set up. Ive had it decide i wasn't mousing over someone when i was and it instead cast the spell on me. So use at your own risk. But Ive had it be rather efficient for me in the long run.
one macro i like using for dark knight is popping Blackest Night on my target's target. if i'm main tank, that's me. if i'm off tank, that's the MT. /ac "The Blackest Night" it's been really useful in keeping my blackblood up and keeping whoever's main tanking alive through tankbusters
As a healer the two macros I use the most are 1.) Swiftcast then Rez and 2.) Target of target for my offensive spells . Makes it so I can stay selected on the tank/party member and throw stones at enemies. Only issue is woth some fights where the foe I'm targeting is targeting something else. In those I have to target a party member in order to do damage to what I want to target.
The second point in hat one is to add a of the same skill in the line above so you never have to worry about when you have nothing to target. I actually use the same technique on my healers, since I can't easily select targets on a controller.
I find that on Bard the macro /ac "Nature's Minne" can be quite useful, was at least last expansion. means you use the ability on your target's target. When you're focusing the boss this is in most cases the main tank which is convinient when they are about to tale a solid beating.
Maybe mentioned (if so, added for emphasis), but some more tips: -You can use the autotranslate function instead of typing "action" . This really helps with oddly worded skills or really long ones and prevents mistypes, also you don't need the parenthesis anymore. -For healing (under a majority of circumstances) I use a macro for dpsing or putting up dots. That way I don't have to untarget my tank, but I can still get in some dps. -For skills used on other players (Mainly use these while tanking): I'm not a big fan of mouseover (just how I play), but I do use a party order , etc, for shields. Like Cover and Intervention (PLD) or Blackest NIght (DRK) that way all I have to do is hit a key to trigger the effect on someone without clicking on the party list and taking my attention off the boss (or whatever my main target is)
I use similar, but I use focus target, then focus on the tank, so I'm always hitting whoever the tank is hitting. Then I can tab around the targets, dropping dots, n bounce right back to dealing dps to the main target everyone is aiming at
One thing I'd suggest, when playing a healer, is to have a macro for your attack spells to use them while targeting your tank, if they're taking enough damage that you need to keep an eye on them. /ac "Spell" You can still DPS this way without having to change your target or focus, and you're guaranteed to hit the one your tank is wailing on.
@@shea5304 That is false. having little DPS skills does not mean DPS is not being done. 80% of the time im casting broil in a good party in EX trials for example because there's nothing to heal.
Blue Dragon Ryoten my macro for limit break is dead ass “this hand of mine is burning red. It’s loud roar tells me to grasp victory!”. Some people understand it
The one DO that I'm surprised wasn't mentioned was: if you do use a macro with text that's specifically for when in battle, remember to add a /party or /p otherwise, it'll essentially type to your currently selected chat (FC, linkshells, etc.)
As someone who plays on ps4 with controller, and wound up being the group's healer for a long time, I made a macro button that swaps to focus target (usually the MT). It's much faster and much more responsive than pressing the up/down directional buttons to try and select the player who's tanking for a faster heal/esuna/barrier. It's also decent for when you have an enemy that moves around, as you'll instantly target them so long as they're your focus target, and can get back to DPS'ing. /target
I think macrolock also fixes skills being used at the same time happening out of order as well. (popping skills randomly in a macro instead of whichever one is available in order of the macro)
100% this. I had no idea either. Same with the mouseover macros for using abilities on party members without removing your target from a mob. I could have honestly cried when I heard those two things. Gonna make my life so much easier and less stressful.
Worth keeping in mind that sometimes enemies can be centered on a place where macros will be unable to work. Personally I use a macro for salted Earth and have a backup button for manually placing it if needed
idk lol my Salted Earth is and if I can’t target them properly with it cuz of where they are, I just hit Down on the D-Pad to target myself and then use the macro. Maybe I should think about adding a line for to prevent that.
To expand on the macro for ground target AOEs, back when Shadowflare was a thing (rip) I would use a + macro. This is useful for bosses like Cloud of Darkness that have gigantic hotboxes or have their hotbox centers off a targetable surface. That macro allows for targeting of the boss first, but if it fails, it will then target the target of the boss ( = target of target) and typically place the ground aoe right under the tank. I don't recommend this for defensive bubbles, but it's quite useful for salted earth, etc. is also quite useful for certain targeted defensive abilities that you want on the target that is being attacked, so you don't need to swap off the boss.
For Dark Knight the target macro for Salted Earth is good but doe a target instead.. works wonders and prevents you from having to place it manually on big targets that you can't use the macro on.
Due to my physical disability I just using healing macro's. As dps I don't need any. I've 8 heal macro's which are almost the same as a healer, but thanks to this I can heal easily the player which needs to be healed by clicking on the correct button without losing target on the boss or mt. Also for raise I ve a macro with swiftcast + raise, and it targets the first death player in row. I ofc have also the normal raise on my actionbars aswell as the healing skills as backup. All this makes me a pretty decent healer who can keep the group alive (most of the times). I also am a Warrior, a Red Mage and a Bard atm, I try to learn as much as I can and use only macro's which are helpfull for me.
One macro I know I have used in the past was the (Target of Target) Macro for my healers. Its not 100% but it allows you to stay on you person you are healing (most likely the tank) and cast DMG spells on their Target. While this has a draw back of if the person you are targeting has no target = no spell casts. Its hit or miss but was really useful for me when I was healing periodically in Raids from 2.X-4.X (not a HC Raider) Prob isn't needed as much anymore however just thought its something I would bring up.
When I play a healer, I love to use mouse over targeting macros for my healing spells. It makes transitioning from healing to damage to healing again almost instant, I can just leave my mouse on the main tank in the party list and never untarget the boss, and if I need to adjust, I just need to move my mouse up or down very quickly. It makes healing to be very efficient for me.
My FC leader showed me these and I absolutely love using them. I find them to really save a lot of extra time when i need to do a clutch heal or two. The only downside is that I cant target myself with it, but I fixed it by just turning on my party list on the side.
As a healer who plays on controller, no macros required, you just hit left/right on d-pad to toggle between aggro targets then hit O to go back to healing the tank.
@@Rivenroads This can easily be fixed by adding a on the third line like so: /micon "spell" /ac "spell" /ac "spell" This will allow you to throw out a spell on a mouseover target, but if you haven't mouseovered anyone, it'll throw the spell out on yourself instead 😊
Here's afew tips about macros. 1: using /em makes all following text only apply to you. Example: /em wait 30 This will result in you being pinged in 30seconds. Noone else will hear it. Great for ast cards, important CD like No Mercy or Delirium. 2: Keep combat macros as 2 actions tops. Though I suggest only 1 action since you have to wait and entire second for the next move. However some people like their swiftcast res. 3: In chatlog settings you can try out all the sound effects and see the number they are. 4: Remember to always put channel name for your macro if you want it said in a specific chat or it'll say the text in your currect channel. This is however not always good to do as I like being able to switch between telling a party to tank swap in raids or telling other alliances in shout.
I do have an interesting question for folks out there and the mention of macros being used by handicapped players. First, a bit of background info: my mother has had multiple surgeries in the past and has what we casually call 'anesthesia brain', which has made it both difficult for her to remember the effects of some of her bard skills, as well as severely affecting her reaction time. That, combined with surgeries on her hands and her inability to use a mouse with added buttons on it for efficiency, has made partaking in fight and dungeons nearly impossible for her. It's hit her a bit hard because she truly loves this game, but has become very self-conscious because of her inability to do well in most later dungeons. My question to you all is, do you think, in her case, macros that condence a series of skills together would help her? Allow her to focus solely on avoiding AOEs while the macros themselves do most of the skill work? Of course, she'll not be running any savage raids or whatnot, and her damage wouldn't be the best, but just something that may allow her to do, say, a leveling or trial roulette.
Of course! If you need to do this to play, it's absolutely fine. And as you said, she's not gonna be doing savage raids so being optimal in DPS isn't an issue. If it helps her play/ enjoy the game, then she should.
I actually know of a macro that puts someone's rotation all on 1 button. There is not a loss of DPS either, since instead of executing different skills 1 by 1, it actually cycles the skills onto 1 button, allowing YOU to press them, therefore activating the skill-queue. if you're interested in it let me know!
@@brandedgatsu6503 it's really complicated and only really good for grinding, like in eureka or something. the macro keeps your rotation buttons moving automatically, so if you miss one it's missed forever. it's not good for any fight that's longer than 15 seconds
My Excog and Fae Union are macroed with . Very helpful for single tank healing. BE VERY CAREFUL though. - Since 5.0 allowed Excog to be placed on the caster, if you are targetting the tank instead of the enemy, it will put excog on you. - Same deal with Fae Union. It will put Fae Union on you if you’re not careful. It’s got its downsides but fairly useful for me at least.
Happ, A super good macro to spread to tanks who struggle with tank swaps and shirk: /ac "Shirk" With default party sorting this will /always/ hit your co-tank in 8 man content.
@@TrueBark for those I prefer: /micon "The Blackest Night" /merror off /ac "The Blackest Night" /ac "The Blackest Night" /ac "The Blackest Night" It will cast on my mouseover if one exists, if it doesn't it tries to cast it on my focus. If my focus doesn't exist or is not a party member it will lastly cast on myself.
@@CheezitNinja Good one, only usable for mouse tho, except from the focus stuff. Since I play on Controller and use the advanced xhb stuff, gives you more skill places so I Generally use one version just for myself and the other with a macro for my cotank.
@@CheezitNinja I've tried something like this for another ability, but like he says at 4:16, is that sometimes skills happen out of order. So even when I did have a mouseover target, it would still rarely self cast it instead.
Best macros are when something is only available if it procs off a pre-req skills. So that proc'd skill goes into the macro line first and then the "3rd final" skill goes second. So you hit the macro, it looks for the 3rd skill, if its available to use, then it uses, if its not then the macro instantly moves onto the "2nd" skill again in the macro (no wait time for something like this). Monk is a good example because of the way its skills chain and only become available when used in a certain order 1-2-3 (heavy hitting 3rd & 2nd skills) /macroicon "Snap Punch" /ac "Snap Punch" (3rd level skill) /ac "True Strike" (2nd level skill) (buff/debuff 3rd & 2nd skills) /macroicon "Demolish" /ac "Twin Snakes" (3rd level skill) /ac "Demolish" (2nd level skill) (Self heal and heal buff) /macroicon "Second Wind" /p Mantra HEALS ARE BUFFED /ac "Mantra" /wait .5 /ac "Second Wind" /ac "Bloodbath" And for healers - namely Astro for me, i macro Swiftcast in with Raise skills /macroicon "Ascend" /ac "Swiftcast" /wait 1 /ac "Ascend" /p Raising
one thing i really like with ground macros is to add a second line with the regular action, so if you dont have anything targeted it will bring up the mouse placement thing anyway its really good for pets too
Raise macros with disparaging responses or quotes is my biggest pet peeve in 14's chat. Thanks, healer(s), I know I died for x or y reason, and yes, it is embarrassing, so you don't gotta make dying feel worse.
I like the cute and meaty messages if there's so sound alert attached in pugs. It catches my eye so I don't use my Swift cast. What I hate more than the "ha ha" messages are the ones that bury the targets name in the insults. Great! You're a dick and I still all unclear on who you raised!
As a healer, my Macro is pretty simple, "The Power of Moogles compells you ". I don't like the macros that go "Yall ded" but I do find dragoon-specific macros mildly amusing...
@@petalmagic8391 It's usually worse because I am a Dragoon main lol. At least you have a cutesy revive quote, that's way better than myriad "Of course the DRG died, again," because you know they have specific macro buttons for certain jobs
for salted earth. /ac salted earth /ac salted earth this is useful for if you run into a boss that is off the platform, wont work, but if you have right after, if the fails, it will just drop it on you. same button, 2 functions.
2 high value macro types that I use as a tank: First the macro for skills like shirk/intervention/nascent Flash. This macro will make it so that your skill that you're pressing will always apply to whoever is number 2 in your party (in 8 man content this is always the co tank which is why it works) /micon "Shirk" /ac "Shirk" /ac "Shirk" /ac "Shirk" (Max out all 15 lines of this, to ensure that the skill fires since, as mr.happy stated, macro's ignore the games queuing system) the other one: the Target of Target macro this macro makes it so you don't have to drop target to apply an ability to a desired member, in this case I put it on Aurora because it's a nice regen for whoever is tanking the boss/add what have you because it applies to the target of the enemy whether that be you/the other tank/a party member. /ac "Aurora" /ac "Aurora" /ac "Aurora" /micon "Aurora" and Finally a nice, niche meme one: This is the weapon glow glitch ;D use this simple 2 line macro to glitch glowing weapons so that they glow while sheathed /bm /sit
I macro buffs but only in twos and only certain ones so I still have a level of control and not get hurt by latency. Or like the Dragonsight one, to either pick amongst the party list or mouseover so I don't have to click off a target. Also have a few for my tanks for things like Cover and that other party skills where it uses my target's target so if I'm off-tanking I can bubble someone or if picking up an add or aggro issues I can potentially protect and/or save a non-tank from dying.
I love the macros. For those who dont know you can set a attack skill to target your targets target. So let's say your on Sch, you can set your broil to target the PLD target, aka the boss most times. This prevents you from having to untarget the tank and DPS between healing. I know for myself I sometimes forget to switch back and the tank drops super low then I'm scrambling to get them healed back up to safe levels.
As a healer main working on ps4 controller one I found useful is setting your attack spells to then in the next line to or target of target. So when doing open world I hit stuff as normal but when in dungeons it hits whoever I'm healing target
As a controller player the only macros I have are for the ground AOEs and target for Skirk and other tank cooldowns for off-tanking. The latter is especially important for tank switches and shields and you’re not fumbling in the party menu ever.
You should always spam the action in the macro so it has more chance to go off, for example instead of 1x /ac salted earth , you can put 8 lines of that so it queues 8 times within the ogcd slot
My favorite tank one is a shrink macro: /Micon "shirk" /Ac "shirk" This will target the second person in the party list, which if you haven't changed it at all, will be the other tank
I wouldn't recommend macros for ground AoEs like Salted Earth, especially if you are going to do Savage on at least average efficiency. You can easily double weave those without macros, but you risk losing uptime if you are not able to preplace them anywhere if the target is about to move somewhere
I only macro movement abilities. For example, I've got Shukuchi macro'd to R3 (right stick click on controller, Macro #99 by default) since I aim it with that stick anyway. I've got it set with both regular use and with in the same macro so that I can move to a target immediately or free aim if I choose. Additionally, I put all of my job movement abilities into this one macro (Elusive Jump, Between the Lines, Repelling Shot, Corpse a Corpse, En Avant, etc)and it will only function for my current active job. I just start the macro with /merror off so that it doesn't keep telling my job can't use the other abilities. It works great.
I use macros as a healer, allowing me to still have the tank targeted and cast my damage spells on the tank's target as well as a swiftcast+ress macro. I also use a target macro with Salted Earth. I didn't know about the spell que though, so I might want to rethink the damage macros.
@@GameGod77 well since I been raised from the dead I may as well answer this one, I don't. but if I did: /ac "Swiftcast" /p Reviving /ac "Resurrection" /ac "Resurrection" /ac "Resurrection" /ac "Resurrection" /ac "Resurrection" /ac "Resurrection" /ac "Resurrection" /ac "Resurrection" .... Spamming makes it trigger faster sometimes, may as well fill all the 15 slots
I admittedly used a combat combo macro and my biggest complaint with it was when I'd execute it if I was trying to run out of an AOE it'll still try executing it, turning you back around towards the enemy so youd have to turn around again, more often than not ending up getting hit by the AOE. One macro I love using when doing single target content is the Caster LB .
I have a "spam" macro for almost every dps class. Mch has reassemble/drill/air anchor/ricochet/gauss round (i think that's it) in it. My HW Ninja had a ~9 skill spam macro that included an entire opener, hide/teleport/trick attack/mug(and whatever other instants)/and some other shit in it that no longer exists, ending with the poison debuff. It worked incredibly well and I had other high level ninjas asking me how I was doing my opener so quickly. I know exactly how inefficient it is, and I do it anyway. Don't tell my static, nobody knows I'm one-button spamming my way through everything.
When I learned to heal in WoW, I ended up using an addon called Grid which simplified healing targeting to moving my mouse over the player name and pushing a single button. /micon Cure /ac Cure I recognize the delay this adds but since I'm more interested in avoiding AOEs from enemies rather than fumbling over my keys, selecting the wrong person, casting, and then having to wait another GCD to target the right person this is what I'm more comfortable with.
99% of the time you don't need to follow a heal GCD with another heal GCD so if your attacks aren't macro'd, you're cool to keep your heals on the mouse over macro. That's what I do as well; I actually moved my party list close to the center of my screen so I can quickly scroll through my party and click on things faster.
i cant even heal without anymore! although id suggest, and use myself, something like this /micon Cure /ac Cure /ac Cure /ac Cure /ac Cure that way i have the option to click on the thing i wanna heal instead of mouseover or click the boss to use a dps skill and still heal the tank. and usually i have the MT in target, mouseover-heal any non-tank players, and when tank needs healing fast i just move mouse away from the party window and heal. also my benediction is macro'd to ONLY have /ac Benediction to prevent me wasting benediction on myself cuz my target is 3 pixels out of range, and all my dps skills have a and a operator line in there, that way i dont even have to stop targeting the tank to refresh my dot or spam my stones
And yet the game clearly has the ability to properly set up attack chains as a single button as shown when it makes you play as Thancred in his gunbreaker class. A similar option for actual player characters without using macros would be fantastic.
@@magnedeusfenrir9582 I dont see how hitting 3 buttons in the same sequence every time for each combo is any more or less boring than hitting a single button for each different combo.
@@TurboNemesis Given how damage rotations and encounters are designed in FFXIV, you would be able to macro entire boss fights. This would literally kill the endgame.
I main DRK and probably my most useful macro is /ac “The Blackest Night” to help my co-tank. Also, my salted earth macro is set as /ac Salted Earth instead of so that I’m pretty much dead center and hits anything near.
Another controller player, but I don't use any macros for that stuff. It's easy enough to bump the right stick to place the bubbles. Only macros I use are raise macros with a callout, & pet summon macros (though I'm doing away with those after the ShB pet skill changes). I've also been experimenting with some dragon sight target macros, but so far they've been pretty unreliable.
A handy one for controller users is to make a macro for "ac/ sprint" in macro slot 99. You can then bind this macro to your left stick and just have sprint work almost the same way it does in every other game ever :D System Config > Controller Settings > Button Config "Begin" > Change L3 to "Execute Macro #99" > Done Saves a hotbar slot also.
My favorite healing macro! (for controller users) Let’s you dish out damage, pop to the tank for some quick heals and pop back so you can get back to business. /macroicon “Target back” /target
Hi Mr. Happy! Long time listener first time poster. I agree with most of what you said here, but I'd like to make my case for a different kind of macro. As a healer, it's a constant pain to switch between healing the tank and doing damage to a specific target normally, and switching between the two on controller takes the better part of a second at the best of times. (I play on controller even while using PC because I have much better hand-eye coordination with that in a frenetic setting than I do with mouse and keyboard). Therefore, as a healer, I also macro my basic damage skills - Stone and Aero for WHM, Bio and Ruin for SCH: Stone /micon "Stone" /merror off /ac "Stone"
Your dps will suffer and your skill as a healer will be limited by this but it’s not a big deal unless you plan on healing savage or ultimate content. No one expects anyone in dungeons or 24 mans or whatever to be amazing.
I used to do this as a controller player. After some time I realized they were just training wheels for me as I now can efficiently switch between party and enemy.
Only time I ever use shirk is in raid or extreme trial content that requires a tank swap. So I have my shirk set to do it on as the other tank will always be the second party member. That way I never have to click off the boss to effectively tank swap.
Couple macros I have on my bars: - Next to the party list, Cover through , positioned so that in an emergency I can just click the Cover icon next to someone's name and it'll Cover that person - Shirk so it'll target the other tank
My gf uses < tt> macros for her healing dps spells since she plays on controller, and it really helps her out a lot with her weaving and damage, not needing to leave the MT without heals at a crucial part where she's also weaving in dps spells and whatnot. Maybe you covered that in another video at some point, but maybe worth mentioning if you ever make another video in regards to macros.
I play with a controller, and I've only heavily used macros during Stromblood when we could only have 5 of the cross-role actions set. I had macros that let me quickly swap between them. I also used to have a macro on Paladin in early Stormblood that had like 3 off-GCD defense buffs because Paladin suffered from massive skill bloat, but when they gave the jobs full access to the cross-role actions I got rid of it since I had to use a third cross hotbar to fit them all anyways.
In the past, i used them for: - Damage reduction skills of tanks used on cotank - Shirk to cotank - "Cover" (PLD) the tether dude/dudette in O11S (health reduced mechanic) - "Salted Earth" (DRK) - DRG Line - I tried an insta-ress macro but often died while waiting for it to work in tight situations - Astro: "Play card" for each position in the party List also Queen/King for each position in the party List
For gunbreaker, I actually use this macro as a starter: /macroicon "Lightning Shot" action /action "Continuation" /action "Wicked Talon" /action "Savage Claw" /action "Gnashing Fang" /action "Burst Strike" /action "Bloodfest" /action "Sonic Break" /action "Keen Edge" /action "Lightning Shot" /wait 1 /action "Continuation" Now, what's the point? Firstly, if a target is too far away, Lightning Shot will be used. And I am using its icon for the macro specifically to asses whether I am close enough to a target, at least, for this weapon skill. Now, when doing regular weapon skills rotation, there is not much need to hold on to your cartridges, thus I use them right after solid barrel, and using them in a macro, I ensure, that I do not forget them. Now, if Gnashing Fang (or its follow-ups) are not available, Burst Strike will be used. When no cartridges - regular Keen Edge will be used. For Continuation, I have placed in 2 places: since it's an ability, we can use it right after appropriate weapon skill, but since majority (if not) weapon skills have animation lock for slightly under 1 second, having the macro wait for 1 second is enough to fire the ability pretty fast and automatically. In case target dies before Continuation, I have it as first skill in the list, so that it will be used on next target. Having Bloodfest after Burst Strike ensures, that if I do not have cartridges, but have Bloodfest available - I get my 2 cartridges and use them right after that. And Sonic Break is there, simply so that I won't forget to use it as soon as its available. I try to put this much thought in all my macros, so that they are as efficient as possible and cover as much of possible situations as I can think of. Sometimes they can "missfire" in a sense, that a buff for example is triggered at the end of the fight and is, essentially, wasted, but on the other hand, I will not forget about it during middle of a fight. Of course, healing abilities are never macroed, as well as some "situational" ones.

For example, if you have still 1min before Holmgang is up : (Macro) /p Holmgang available in (Display in /party) Holmgang available in 01:00 Not so usefull if you're able to voicechat with your team, but stil something I would like to see more in PU group.
I'm not a healer main but I fill the role when needed. That being said I use this as a healing macro. /ac benefic /ac benefic /ac benefic The idea being I don't have to reselect targets to heal. It does feel a little inconsistent but for the most part it gets the job done. Any tips to clean it up are welcome
The only problem I found with that macro is that it won’t tell you which of the three possible targets the spell is actually going to. Sure it’ll try to hit the mouse-over target first, then your target, then you, but I often found that if my intended target was either out of range or out of line of sight, it would default to casting on me. So I removed the third line and haven’t had that issue since.
I would have like you going over the tank shared mitigations, like heart of stone on targets target. That kinda thing c:. But I like this vid, I don't use em but I didn't know about the crafting ones.... I uh... May have a crafter at 80 by the end of today now.... Ahem...
As a healer, I really like having my DPS skills set on macros as: /ac (skill) /ac (skill) That way I can attack my tank's target while healing them without fumbling with changing targets if I don't think the opening to cast offensive spells is going to be big enough to make switching targets worthwhile. That said, I wasn't aware of the macro for healer bubbles, I might use that. Being able to get them off more quickly would be really helpful, as for some reason placing the AoE with my mouse sometimes feels "sticky", like I have to click several times for it to finally register my choice.
That kind of macro is not good. If you’re not trying to clear Savage however, it wouldn’t matter that much, otherwise you’ll lose a lot of DPS just from that. A JP blog post mathed out the number of GCDs you’ll lose in 34 seconds if you use GCD macros. The result is 0.7s GCD. Expand that to a 10 minute fight and you lose approximately 25 GCDs, which is the equivalent of not casting anything for 1 minute straight.
I would absolutely despise healing if I didn't use macros. Most of the time you're using oGCD heals anyway so it's not cutting into the efficiency of your DPS.
personally as a healer, just getting used to hitting the F1-F8 keys to choose the party member is faster, and the game is slow enough that you have plenty of time to target someone in between GCDs. setting a main target key so you can always be casting your offensive spells, then quickly selecting a party member and throwing an oGCD heal at them or a hard GCD heal at them is fairly fluid once you learn how to target party members directly, rather than fumbling with your mouse and click selecting will save you a lot of headache. of course, do whatever works for you. if using helps you cast asylum or similar helps you in some way, i'm not your boss.
@@ElseeKay I disagree that it's faster. I think it's about the same but requires more actions. So you're doing more work in the same amount of time. Which if you're okay with is fine, specially if you're used to it. But keeping tank on focus, boss targeted and using macros is probably the least amount of work you can do.
mo is faster if you look more to the screen. most of my friend and me myself see the partylist more than the screen tbh so if you have numpad using numpad and getting back to target with tab is the faster way to go.
@@Mokachino74 In this instance I would be talking about over party members on the party screen. Trying to target a member in the field would be very unreliable.
One of the worst macros I had to deal with was a Black Mage cast spamming Blizzard 3 in Palace of the Dead where it would say "Stay cooled off!" or something over and over and over in the chat.
I use mouse over macros for my healing. Don't know how people manage without. Super simple, and get the job done. Something like: /macroicon "Cure" /ac "Cure"
This is me as well. Sure my healing efficiency will take a hit since I can't que heals, but being able to stay on my targeted monster for when I can DPS makes it worth it imo Plus, I had a hard time cycling through my teammates back before I discovered the macro back in Heavensward, so I'm never going back
@@YaminoKaze tbh most healer didn't even spent time targeting lmao just use member number list and press it then press tag to go back to the boss isntantly

Whoever uses a Ninja "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" macro with their skills they have a higher chance of getting my commendation lol. Also RIP Shadowflare....:-:
They have no chance to get it from me. :3 You often weave trick attack and bunshin together, so macroing either of them is a direct DPS loss. (I main ninja)
I used holy and aero and stone with when I used to play as a white mage. Mostly because my main deal wasn't to deal damage and I played with joystick, so I didn't need to swap targets. probaly suboptimal for DPS thou.
Late reply on this sorry but... you lose the skill queuing time which yeah, is suboptimal. Not dpsing because you're not comfortable or able to swap targets constantly is more of a loss though so don't even feel bad about it.
I use Target-of-Target macros for healing in PUBs. Basically, anything easier than Extreme, I'll use ToT, and anything more difficult, I'll swap to mouse over.
Mouse Over target modifier healing/esuna for gamepad users! I used to do this back when FFXIV was still new on PS4. It's super useful in cases where you have the tank as your target and you need to throw a quick heal/esuna on a party member but also don't want to lose the tank as your target. Mouse over target modifier makes it possible to heal/esuna a player simply hovering the player's name on the party list, as such you don't need to actually select the player to cast it, thus removing the need to swap target. You may think of it as having an additional focus target dedicated entirely for your tank besides the usual focus target that you have on the boss. However if you are on mouse & keyboard I would suggest that you avoid using this kind of macro as it can be a real nightmare at times. Having a mouse cursor and a player randomly running past it while avoiding AoEs can make you lose target in a critical moment and can potentially cause a party wipe, so ONLY use this kind of macro for your cross hotbar ONLY.
I’m sure I’ll be chastised, but when I play dragon I use macros heavily. My macros definitively fall on the “don’t” list in the video, but as a controller player with not-so-nimble fingers, I just don’t have easy access or reaction time with every possible mappable button, and three is zero chance I’ll ever will use the W cross bar thing efficiently. Sad/funny? 4 out of 5 groups I run, I out-dps everyone in the party even with my macro handicap. I don’t care for raids, I just do my Dungeon runs and have casual fun, but everyone else is so much worse than me, that I won’t stop doing this.
Macros take minuscule amounts of time to parse each line. Always put things like /micon at the very bottom of the macro, I'll remake your superbolide macro as an example /ac "Superbolide" /p Invuln! /micon "Superbolide" /merror off This will allow you to spam activate the macro without spamming the party chat, will reliably pop bolide without worrying about parsing extra lines prior to the bolide action, as well as having the icon and preventing macro error messages like "unavailable at this time"
Personally, if any DPS macro works decently, as in you're only using a short macro that uses your GCD with 1 OGCD ability, it's not a big deal for anything but progressive raids (or dire situations). No one, and I mean that literally, should give a shit about perfect rotation and timing in most content, unless its your own performance you're wanting that for. If you're playing a job that's overwhelming you (e.g. NIN or MCH) and you're only doing dungeons, 24man, etc, then by all means do what is more enjoyable for you. If your group is struggling because DPS is low (chances are, it's not your fault if said macro is working decently), then try to do things manually for better performance.
/ac "Aetherial Manipulation" /ac "Aetherial Manipulation" Lifesaver. You could use aswell, but one of tanks is good enough....most of times. You can help queue/macro skipping using /macrolock command, but thats double edged sword.

I need to use this lol
So ave the macroicon first, then , the skill itself, and then the /p?

@@cosmicneko7225 I wouldn't recommend this as your putting a 1second delay on the ability itself, use the wait timer after the line that uses the skill and then after the wait timer you do the Party chat.
As a healer main in FFXIV, mouse-over macros for healer skills are life. All I have to do is bring my mouse cursor over to the party member's name in the party window and bam, they're being healed and I haven't even switched targets. That was something I was taught in Heavensward and it still works today.
Example:
/micon "Cure"
/ac "Cure"
Oh nice I tried to find a mouseover macro for my paladin skills
I just wonder, since a lot of people tell me macros are nice for healers, currently I only use a Macro for Instant Raise. But people told me as healer macros would blow my mind, did they may spoke of the mouse over macros?
I'm more a keyboard user and user F1-F8 for my heal targets and dont see the benefit of focusing to search for the player on the battlefield - or do i missunderstand these macros?
@@MrPetschko Mouseover also works with the party list (default towards the top left of the screen).
I used to macro my swiftcast to callout when it's used since Raise was the only thing I was using it for
This is the reason I'm watching this video.
Huh, maybe I should make one of those..."
It also lets you have a little fun with Job flavor. I don't really play AST, but I love my AST one's message:
"/party ! I have read your fate from the Stars! Today is NOT the day you fall!! {Arise}!!"
Something about that one just gives me goosebumps. XD
For real. I wish everyone used raise macros so I wouldn't waste my swiftcast on nothing.

fallback to manual target for ground target macro if you're not focused on anything.
OMG I had it separately up on my wxhb. This is a life saver!
Saves you when you play with a controller.
i use the same thing for ninjas "gap closer" so if i want to get to someone(like the boss) fast i just click the macro, if i want to go somewhere where there is nothing (like escaping an AoE) i can just untarget and then click the macro to use it in the normal ground target way.
also there is a line, "/acerror" or something like that (maybe "off" too) that disables the "ability not ready yet" message you get when telling a macro to use the same ability twice like this.

This causes the spell to go off on whoever im mousing over first even mousing over names of people in other alliance raid groups.
This is me for healing. Cheers! Mouseover macros always a must for me when healing.
one macro i like using for dark knight is popping Blackest Night on my target's target. if i'm main tank, that's me. if i'm off tank, that's the MT.
/ac "The Blackest Night"
it's been really useful in keeping my blackblood up and keeping whoever's main tanking alive through tankbusters
Now that's an idea I like.
I just learned how to do that, and it is so helpful. And I get to capitalize off of tank busters whether I’m MT or OT
As a healer the two macros I use the most are 1.) Swiftcast then Rez
and 2.) Target of target for my offensive spells .
Maybe mentioned (if so, added for emphasis), but some more tips:
-You can use the autotranslate function instead of typing "action" .
/ac "Spell"
You can still DPS this way without having to change your target or focus, and you're guaranteed to hit the one your tank is wailing on.
Depends on the healer though, SCH barely has any DPS skills now (most where removed) The only healer that would be dps really is WHM now.
@@shea5304 That is false. having little DPS skills does not mean DPS is not being done. 80% of the time im casting broil in a good party in EX trials for example because there's nothing to heal.

@MrHappy1227 on your final point, you can "/macrolock" to prevent a macro being overwritten (useful for raise macros)

Worth keeping in mind that sometimes enemies can be centered on a place where macros will be unable to work. Personally I use a macro for salted Earth and have a backup button for manually placing it if needed
As a controller player I would die if I didn't have a ground AoE macro for all my ground AoEs.
idk lol my Salted Earth is and if I can’t target them properly with it cuz of where they are, I just hit Down on the D-Pad to target myself and then use the macro. Maybe I should think about adding a line for to prevent that.

I was also 14 in FF11, and it was unacceptable even then. You must atone for your sins.
The only problem with using the Double-Cross Hotbar on controller is that it will eventually betray you. 😁

@@Rivenroads
This can easily be fixed by adding a on the third line like so:
/micon "spell"
/ac "spell"
/ac "spell"
This will allow you to throw out a spell on a mouseover target, but if you haven't mouseovered anyone, it'll throw the spell out on yourself instead 😊
wait how do you do this? this sounds like something I need to try!
Here's afew tips about macros.
1: using /em makes all following text only apply to you. Example:
/em wait 30
This will result in you being pinged in 30seconds.
EDITED I mean em not me but I was tired when I wrote this. Sorry to confuse people v.v
@@cereyza hello friend! saw your post about a way.... not to lose dps... with a one button rotation how can I acquire that skill
@@brandedgatsu6503 it's really complicated and only really good for grinding, like in eureka or something. the macro keeps your rotation buttons moving automatically, so if you miss one it's missed forever. it's not good for any fight that's longer than 15 seconds
@@cereyza thank you for your input!
Happ,
A super good macro to spread to tanks who struggle with tank swaps and shirk:
/ac "Shirk"
With default party sorting this will /always/ hit your co-tank in 8 man content.
PSA: use /partysort to force default party sorting so the macro works!
Also works with Heart of Stone, Cover, The Blackest Night, War Healing, etc etc. Only viable reason to do macros other than crafting IMO
@@TrueBark for those I prefer:
/micon "The Blackest Night"
/merror off

It will cast on my mouseover if one exists, if it doesn't it tries to cast it on my focus.
Monk is a good example because of the way its skills chain and only become available when used in a certain order 1-2-3

one thing i really like with ground macros is to add a second line with the regular action, so if you dont have anything targeted it will bring up the mouse placement thing anyway
its really good for pets too
jaj145 you don’t have to add a second line. If you have no target selected, it will default to the ground target reticle.
ah reminds of the days of Warriors and their ear murder "BERSERK INCOMING PLEASE USE ESUNA!!!"
Or, ARR 1 button macro bard... haha
/ac "Asylum" is also useful. Wish it would let you target the ground with this too, but it only works if you have your mouse over anything targetable.

AST Macros: Buff Notification/Useful Warnings or A Full Episode of Yu-Gi-Oh in one dungeon run. Hmmm! :3
I've done worse than the latter and made one seem like half of a season with an EX trial. I've moved on from that.
2 high value macro types that I use as a tank: First the macro for skills like shirk/intervention/nascent Flash. This macro will make it so that your skill that you're pressing will always apply to whoever is number 2 in your party (in 8 man content this is always the co tank which is why it works)
/micon "Shirk"
/ac "Shirk"
/ac "Shirk"
/ac "Shirk"
(Max out all 15 lines of this, to ensure that the skill fires since, as mr.happy stated, macro's ignore the games queuing system)
the other one: the Target of Target macro this macro makes it so you don't have to drop target to apply an ability to a desired member, in this case I put it on Aurora because it's a nice regen for whoever is tanking the boss/add what have you because it applies to the target of the enemy whether that be you/the other tank/a party member.

As a ps4 player targeting macros for me have been game changing for battle efficiency over the years of raiding
Can i ask you what macros and can you share with me please (and what they do)
yes please share ^^
This so much! I play blm and sch and it makes life so much easier
Oh shoot I’m bad, I didn’t even know you could place ground aoes with the command... my life has been way more complicated than it should’ve been.
As a controller player the only macros I have are for the ground AOEs and target for Skirk and other tank cooldowns for off-tanking. The latter is especially important for tank switches and shields and you’re not fumbling in the party menu ever.
Gunbreaker macro:
/ac Superbolide
/wait 1
/statusoff
Some folks just want to watch the world burn.
don't forget
/wait 4
/p healer adjust
You should always spam the action in the macro so it has more chance to go off, for example instead of 1x /ac salted earth , you can put 8 lines of that so it queues 8 times within the ogcd slot
My favorite tank one is a shrink macro:
/Micon "shirk"
/Ac "shirk"
This will target the second person in the party list, which if you haven't changed it at all, will be the other tank
yea, this is one of the very, very few macros I use, along with viel and immunity callouts.
I wouldn't recommend macros for ground AoEs like Salted Earth, especially if you are going to do Savage on at least average efficiency. You can easily double weave those without macros, but you risk losing uptime if you are not able to preplace them anywhere if the target is about to move somewhere
Have two buttons. One with Macro, One without.
The /echo works with sound effects too, i do that to keep up BRD songs;
/ac "the Wanderer's Minuet"
/wait 26
/echo >>>>> new song !
I wish we had something like an /echo2 that displays you the text in blue at the middle on the screen, like in those gathering Fates ^^
9 months later but this macro doesn't work for me. the song refuses to cast even when i'm in combat and there's no error message
I didn't know about the spell que though, so I might want to rethink the damage macros.
remap T (target's target) to something comfortable is probably a better idea

Shame
When I learned to heal in WoW, I ended up using an addon called Grid which simplified healing targeting to moving my mouse over the player name and pushing a single button.
/micon Cure
/ac Cure
I recognize the delay this adds but since I'm more interested in avoiding AOEs from enemies rather than fumbling over my keys, selecting the wrong person, casting, and then having to wait another GCD to target the right person this is what I'm more comfortable with.
99% of the time you don't need to follow a heal GCD with another heal GCD so if your attacks aren't macro'd, you're cool to keep your heals on the mouse over macro. That's what I do as well; I actually moved my party list close to the center of my screen so I can quickly scroll through my party and click on things faster.
i cant even heal without anymore!
although id suggest, and use myself, something like this
/micon Cure
/ac Cure
/ac Cure
/ac Cure
/ac Cure
that way i have the option to click on the thing i wanna heal instead of mouseover or click the boss to use a dps skill and still heal the tank. and usually i have the MT in target, mouseover-heal any non-tank players, and when tank needs healing fast i just move mouse away from the party window and heal.
also my benediction is macro'd to ONLY have /ac Benediction to prevent me wasting benediction on myself cuz my target is 3 pixels out of range, and all my dps skills have a and a operator line in there, that way i dont even have to stop targeting the tank to refresh my dot or spam my stones
And yet the game clearly has the ability to properly set up attack chains as a single button as shown when it makes you play as Thancred in his gunbreaker class. A similar option for actual player characters without using macros would be fantastic.
That would make the game incredibly boring very fast.
Pvp also does this. At least in stormblood it did. I havent touched pvp since the start of stb.
I should macro my Salted Earth. I am atm just often to lazy to place it, since I play with controller.
ShinjiPrismriver True
It's seriously helpful on controller. Placing any of the ground AoEs is a pain with one.
DRK main on controller here, too. I just started using this macro for Salted Earth and Asylum like a week ago. It's a huge improvement.
I've been meaning to do it to. I also play on controller :D
You can then bind this macro to your left stick and just have sprint work almost the same way it does in every other game ever :D
System Config > Controller Settings > Button Config "Begin" > Change L3 to "Execute Macro #99" > Done
Saves a hotbar slot also.
My favorite healing macro! (for controller users)
Let’s you dish out damage, pop to the tank for some quick heals and pop back so you can get back to business.
/macroicon “Target back”
/target
You can change keybinds so L3 or R3 will assist target and that is the same thing with a different name
Hi Mr.
Therefore, as a healer, I also macro my basic damage skills - Stone and Aero for WHM, Bio and Ruin for SCH:
Stone
/micon "Stone"
/merror off
/ac "Stone"
Your dps will suffer and your skill as a healer will be limited by this but it’s not a big deal unless you plan on healing savage or ultimate content.
No one expects anyone in dungeons or 24 mans or whatever to be amazing.
I used to do this as a controller player. After some time I realized they were just training wheels for me as I now can efficiently switch between party and enemy.
Only time I ever use shirk is in raid or extreme trial content that requires a tank swap. So I have my shirk set to do it on as the other tank will always be the second party member. That way I never have to click off the boss to effectively tank swap.
I do the same for when I tank.

Looking forward to Daemon x Machina?
In the past, i used them for:
- Damage reduction skills of tanks used on cotank
- Shirk to cotank
- "Cover" (PLD) the tether dude/dudette in O11S (health reduced mechanic)
- "Salted Earth" (DRK)
- DRG Line
- I tried an insta-ress macro but often died while waiting for it to work in tight situations
- Astro: "Play card" for each position in the party List also Queen/King for each position in the party List
6:45 I will now proceed to macro each and every single one of my skills to constantly spam Anime quotes.
ive done this with fire 4 lol, EXPLOSION!
@@Kirianda sounds like you just used fire 4 on the chat
For gunbreaker, I actually use this macro as a starter:
/macroicon "Lightning Shot" action
/action "Continuation"
/action "Wicked Talon"
/action "Savage Claw"
/action "Gnashing Fang"
/action "Burst Strike"
/action "Bloodfest"
/action "Sonic Break"
/action "Keen Edge"
/action "Lightning Shot"
/wait 1
/action "Continuation"
Now, what's the point?
Adding a shirk macro for makes tank swap mechanics sooooo much easier, provided you prioritize tanks at the top of the party list.
This is a good idea! Thanks!
That what /partysort is for. Good Call!

The idea being I don't have to reselect targets to heal.
Ahem...
As a healer, I really like having my DPS skills set on macros as:
/ac (skill)
/ac (skill)
That way I can attack my tank's target while healing them without fumbling with changing targets if I don't think the opening to cast offensive spells is going to be big enough to make switching targets worthwhile.
Should I not use macros for healing?

@@chazon1780 Yeah, IMO, for healing specifically, I think you make up for it with less time spent targeting.
@@YaminoKaze tbh most healer didn't even spent time targeting lmao just use member number list and press it then press tag to go back to the boss isntantly
On a controller, the up and down buttons on my D-pad are getting worn down from my rapid healing, haha
I recommend the party chat macros to be placed after the action, the millisecond difference could hurt really badly
Used macros for cards on AST but was a pain to weave them in, so learned to do with target swapping.
Only real macro i use constently on healer is a
/ac Swiftcast
/ac resurection
Never had any issue with res going before swift since i'll press it while GCD is resetting.
Even outside of gcd, don't remember any time in 5+ years of using it where res went off before swiftcast
Swiftcast off cd : use swiftcast.
Swiftcast on cd : use res
Swiftcast off cd : spam button to swift raise
I play on the JP datacenter and I freaking love the fight macros. Makes things so simple when PUG-ing EX/Savage content.
A fun macro I use for provoke uses so it announces who I am pulling the agro from. It ends up saying the enemy's name before it says the player name.
Macro "FALCON PUUUUUUNNNCH!!!!" into the party chat for every monk weapon skill
naa just Limit Break ^^
bonus comms if you add a tag

I used to have a say macro of "sickness must be purged" to esuna.... it was cute at first, then got really annoying.
@@anthonydelfino6171 you used Esuna!? didn't they patched it out?.. well most healer act like Esuna doesn't exist xD"
I use Target-of-Target macros for healing in PUBs. Basically, anything easier than Extreme, I'll use ToT, and anything more difficult, I'll swap to mouse over.
Thank you for acknowledging people with disabilities who play this game! It's very nice to be seen. ^.^
Always put things like /micon at the very bottom of the macro, I'll remake your superbolide macro as an example
/ac "Superbolide"
/p Invuln!
/micon "Superbolide"
/merror off
This will allow you to spam activate the macro without spamming the party chat, will reliably pop bolide without worrying about parsing extra lines prior to the bolide action, as well as having the icon and preventing macro error messages like "unavailable at this time"
a HUGE macro right now is a hotbar collapse macro for hiding stuff like stuff for jobs and stuff.
Same, my screen real estate has been so much better ever since I realized I could make my job change hotbar change and go away.
Wait. What! This is a thing!?!
I playon a laptop. This. This would be a major game changer for me!

Ignore Happy - do it. Put in the best line you can think of.
it gives you 5% more LB damage if used on an LB3
During my Melee DPS days, I used to use "Trace On!" As a macro for LB
Worked pretty well, considering the sword itself is made of Aether.
/ac "Aetherial Manipulation"
/ac "Aetherial Manipulation"
Lifesaver. You could use aswell, but one of tanks is good enough....most of times.
You can help queue/macro skipping using /macrolock command, but thats double edged sword.
Could also have another DPS as your focus target and use for that.
@@PurpleAlzir Truth, but i usually focus boss. Thats more UI choice because i can see what boss use better on focus bar than up on target bar(and i can see it even if we fight ads).
