  • Vintage Story Desert Life is a desert-themed survival playthough in version 1.19, with a large list of mods to speed up the process of building and chiseling. While our builds will all (or at least mostly) be in the desert, we are not restricted to hot and arid climates for the purposes of gathering materials and resources.
This series exists as a series of VODs, as well, but for people who prefer their videos in a more manageable length, the VODs will be cut into these shorter episodes and released throughout the week after each livestream, provided that there is enough desire for this format.
Want to play along? You'll need the world files and all of these mods (likely) in order for it to work. Download links below.

*to the person who was live in stream and said that smithing hurts their eyes. Go into the setting, there's an option slider that thins or thickens the Voxel Grid when smithing/clayforming. Crank that slider up a good 20-30% from its default and you'll get much thicker and easier to see lines on the Voxel Grid, which is very helpful for those with poorer eyesight or help prevent strain after long sessions.

Good thing about the Golden Combs beehives is that you can have a lot of honey/wax being made in one spot instead of needing a field os skeps. Of course its heavy on materials to start but later on you get a lot more for less work.
And another thing, I saw some pictures from Tyron and he is bringing his view of the beehive klin to the game too, looks cool with the interior shelves for lots of stuff to fire at once.

For the beehives, they can be built much larger, right? I feel like with a larger hive you can let it build up to a much larger stockpile, and do the procedure all at once

Yeah, I think the mod said they can be stacked up to 4 tall. It's quite the investment of flax and beeswax, though, so we're not ready for that level of commitment yet!

well, having mentioned skeps in comparison, i think the appeal for these is that the more you invest into them, the less often you have to check them for being full
