Boy is dying of thirst meanwhile passing many boxes with water bottles inside
haha I was gonna say, usually the problem is to much water you pick up and it takes all your inventory space. Didn't think it was possible to die if thirst on the ship lol
I think you should keep the games audio even after like 10 years it is still a banger
Agreed. The sound design and music are fantastic!
Also agreed, Subnautica has got great sound design and I still listen to the soundtrack sometimes.
Playing over it would be blasphemy
THE BIG WHIZO SUBNAUTICA GUIDE:
⚠️ Before pressing record on next episode:
- Read as much PDA stuff as you can, clear up all those yellow icons. having all the new info sitting and building up in your PDA can get overwhelming and distracting. Most is lore but some stuff is info you need to know
- Get a new camera lol
🔴 After hitting record:
- Craft a Modification Station to craft a Thermo-blade to cook fish and eat right away anywhere.
- If you die and lose stuff, you can get everything back if you go to where you died. (If high up the loot will fall below so check below)
🔲 TIPS:
- I usually always make a large room and just make like 25/30 lockers and have a whole organized storage for different resources.
Loving the Subnautica series man, love the energy!
You can make a thermal blade in the mod station and that will insta cook fish when you hit them
I'm really loving how excited he is about making his first base. Felt the same when I did it too.
Here are some tips because the game isn't going to hold back much more:
1: Plan for trips. ALWAYS have batteries, water, food, ect. You never want to start starving when your sub is 1000 meters deep in a complex cave.
2: Scan everything. You'll either get really useful survival tips, or cool lore.
3: You might want to move your base to somewhere nearby with more space. They can get REALLY big. You should also invest in some reinforcements because they can flood.
4: Go back to the island with all the trees and the Degasi bases. There are several plants that you can grow inside of your base. The plants are really good because they're sustainable, and they refill your thirst as well. Remember to cut them with your knife so you can get the seeds.
guess theres no spoilerwarnings here. to continue with this, structural integrity gets lower when u expand and also with less stabile structures so u dont want ur integrity to be lower then 0. u should also try out the inflatable bladder, orange thingy, useful when u need to get to the surface quick. i see ur taking advantage of the "dying doesnt affect" much atm but to avoid death when u dive deep u can also build another or even several oxygen tanks that u can swap out when ur too deep. do remember to first equip all O2 tanks where theres oxygen so the oxygen fills with each tank.
I have a tip to add on this list.
1. Always have a beacon. SO if u find like a cool place or something u can always mark the location.
Once u get the thermal knife you can cook fish once you hit them no need to go back and cook
please build a moonpool. It lets you put upgrades on your seamoth and prawnsuit. Also try to get al the fragments of the cyclops submarine, its basically a roaming habitat.
just so he doesn't get confused, it's called the Moonpool in-game
the moonpool doesn't let you put upgrades on seamoth and prawnsuit...while it does make it easier, you can do that normally outside the moonpool
you need the vehicle upgrade console...so you can make upgrades for the vehicles
I want to see his reaction to the cyclope 😂
There's fish all around you. You can just grab a raw fish if you are desperate. Reading your scans will also save your life. There are lots of edible stuff all around you. Just scan and read.
Build a scanner room and a moonpool. Trust me, they’re fuckin awesome.
that’s exactly how i felt making my first base!!!! it’s so fun
"The Reaper never k!lled me, so it made me stronger"
...well you didn't k!ll it either so by that logic...
K!ll..? Not kill?
@@Omega_Sans12345 you have to write it like that. If you write words like k!ll or de@th the normal way, the bots will just delete your comment.
kill
You can make outposts or even a large submarine so you don't have to revisit the lifepod for it's equipment, it's really handy for when you get really deep into the ocean
I BEG you, pls play more of Subnautica
Your excitement discovering base building brought me so much joy lol If you scan planters you can plant things inside and outside. So many of those cool plants on the island you can grow inside your base.
Here are some more tips for you:
You can stack the large rooms on top of each other, and access them via ladders inside the room.
Consider building a base in a larger location, cuz the base gets MASSIVE as you progress.
Try and get more prawn suit arm blueprints, and make the prawn suit
IMPORTANT: Make a moopool and modification station in your base, they are both really really helpfull.
Always carry a couple nutrient blocks or cured foods (they dont rot or spoil) and water when you leave your base. First aid kits are also good to have.
Try and unlock the cyclops if can (It requires 3 cyclops hul fragments, 3 cylops bridge fragments and 3 cyclops engine fragments, but it is worth it)
Cyclops Fragments can be found in deep biomes surrounding the Aurora and some near the Aurora itself.
Trust me when I say this: The cyclops is always worth the risk of running into reaper levaithans.
When you add base pieces it decreases total hull integrity, shown for a few seconds at the top left of the screen. You want to keep it above zero, but adding either Reinforcement panels (they go where you'd put windows in any type of compartment), or Foundation platforms, or I think Bulkheads also increase it. I usually just use Reinforcements, which require titanium and lithium. You can even make a multipurpose room and just cover it in reinforcements.
Oh, and Multipurpose Rooms (big circular) and Large Rooms (the ones you built) can stack on top of each other to make a solid unit. Just add ladders from the inside to access the other floors.
If you want mobile crafting and stuff youll need to look into making the cyclops or building habitats. To truly make stuff on the go you need the cyclops. But having little outposts can help if you don't have it yet. Though perhaps an upgrade to a tool can help it cook your kills...
Also, you can try to go to the edge of the map. its a great place to be. Resources, little shrimpy guys. Its a mandatory experience of every first playthrough.
Yeah the edge of the map has high tier loot and if you go out beyond the cliff their are islands under water with the best blueprint fragments and resources.( its called the dead zone[sounds scary but it's called that because their are no small fish and its really dark])
@@BlakeMcnew (:
Solar pannels are more effective when out of the water, you should place a base decently far from the liefpod so you always have a base to get to craft, also the seamoth's damage is shown in the bottom right of your screen when your inside of it next to the wrench. Also you need to finish repairing the aurora you only got like 2 of the breaches and after you do that it takes like 30 minutes for the radiation to ware off. Also your seaglide is using unnecasary battery when using it right click to toggle between the flashlights and the hologram thing, having those on runs down the battery.
Highly recommend just letting the music be😁 It's definitely better for the immersion (pun intended) to use the game music. I always appreciate people playing my favorite game
Thanks for letting me know for this upcoming video I let the original ost shine 😁
11:27 I like it, personal touch
I have never played this game on any other setting than hardcore for the very reason I see here. 1 or two deaths and all of a sudden dying isn't a big deal, we will use all our oxygen to explore and get blueprints beyond our realistic or sensible abilities. Hardcore gives you no siri oxygen warnings and when you die everything is erased.
Would be dope for a challenge after the series but not for my first time playing
@@Whiz_Gaming I get that. It's rough to make it 40 hours in and die to a new creature or game mechanic you are unfamiliar with. But the thing that makes it good is you keep your anxiety and attention on 10 for the whole play thru. The security of dying with no huge loss is such a deflation of serious energy.
18:43 the sound of true fear
Its so sweet hearing how excited you got about the base, its great reliving that through new players (me still being relatively new myself)
Few more tips to help you in your journey
1. You well always be thrisy before your hungry so always have like 3 water bottle and 2 food item
2. You need to make a cyclops submarine to basically proceed any further or upgrade your seamoth depth module
3. You need to make a moon pool if you want to make upgrades for you seamoth and prown suit
4. You also need to make a Modification Station which well help you upgrade your stuff even more
5. Explore the world more you well come across a lot of ship wreaks and stuff you need to proceed forward
Lastly keep exploring and going deeper that's the name of the game hope this helps
at the potal you find last in video. there's ton of good stuff at bottom down there, just a little bit swim lower
37:31 playing with an extreme case of thallasophobia was the worst experience ive ever had, this game had my heart racing when i first had to go to the aurora and i still teleport to places to avoid encounters with leviathans, although its still my favorite game ever.
Raft would be another great water game to play next
the best place to build a base (mid game) is the biome with red grass, because it's spacious, pretty and has a lot of recources. I also recommend getting a bio reactor because solar panels usually aren't enough to power a base, and switching to a nuclear reactor as soon as you can
love it when whiz fills us with his juicy content again
50:33 wtf a flying peeper😂
Finally! ❤ Welcome back!
i reccomend crafting the bio reactor. it's really good for giving your base power, you just put organic things in it, like mushrooms or fish. also the moonpool is really cool
Oxygen.
Thank you Siri
10 seconds later: "axphyxiates"
aight so some tips:
IMPORTANT 1. u should switch to the rebreather now since the radiation problem has been fixed and u should get a ultra high capacity tank
2. u can rotate buildings like those "tunnels" that u wanted to connect
IMPORTANT 3. u should really add reinforced walls to your base since if u dont have them and ur structural integrity goes in the negatives ur base will begin flooding and start getting destroyed
IMPORTANT 4. u should really really make a moonpool as it allows you to dock ur vehicles (dont make it too close to the ground bcz u need to enter from below)
5. make standing lockers instead of wall lockers and place them across the walls close because they have way more storage space
6. u can make separate rooms within the large room
7. make a scanner room and get the upgrades for it as it will make your resource finding WAY easier
8. you should also focus on making a medical kit automator thingy and you should get the bioreactor as it basically gives u more power in exchange for fish or seeds
9. try finding the water purifier or just make bleach to get disinfected water which will give way more than regular water
10. start mixing salt with your cooked fish because it makes them last way longer before the get old and rotten
11. not really a big tip but you can make bases over water if you use the vertical tubes to connect them and then just use a ladder to travel up and down (but remember to have high structural integrity tho)
Note about 10: Cured food does make you slightly more dehydrated.
@@gekinatracksuit9710 yes but its only by a very small margin and its still way better than eating old cooked food
Counter point to the standing lockers: I always use the wall lockers because I love labeling everything.
You need to continue this series!!!
32:42 It took me aa second but I recognize these voices! There's a channel called Neebs Gaming. The playthrough is so frickin' funny. They had one guy playing as normal and the rest of the group acted like they were Alterra HQ that the player would call up for advice or just some company. Theirs is finished, so when you're done with your playthrough, definitely check it out for some laughs.
another BANGER!!!!
Hey dude, great series so far, just wanted to give some info for your next episodes those being blueprints and materials. Almost everything you need is around a 100-300 depth mostly in wrecks and materials that spawn in their designated biomes. A great place to find a couple of blue prints is next to the grand reef, the biome that had the 500 meter depth degasi base, the biome is relatively safe and has three main wrecks that’ll help you while also providing good materials like ruby, gel sacks, and deep shrooms (provided you know these materials). The exact name is the sparse reef which is under the floating island and has a destroyed life pod which you visited in this episode. Also stasis rifle is one of the rarest blueprints in the game and is very hard to find, stay safe and remember this everything in this game can die even the leviathans. Extra info* at the mountain there’s about six purple tablets and one on the floating island, pretty sure you have the island one though not sure how many on the mountain you’ve missed
Hey Whiz! I got a LOT of helpful tips for you on this game if you would love them! I play Subnautica every day and I have over 3000 hours on the game. Just let me know if you want any help! I dropped alot of time capsules too so I hope you find one of them too. Its a photo of my Seamoth next to a dead Reaper Leviathan at the Aurora. My funniest one was me in the Abyss being chased by a creature you havent seen yet so no spoilers!
Freaky ahh aliens 😭
My top 3 favorite survival games. Subnautica, 7 Days to Die, Raft
only started watching you recently, but im a big fan! tysm for continuing the the series!!
FIX THE STUPID REACTOR IN THE ARORA
You need the cyclops it’s like a base but you can put indoor grow beds into this big boy. U also need the cyclops to complete the game.On the island u already found Chinese potatoes u can plant em in the grow beds.
Really like your content and please keep playing Sbna
And the cyclops is drivable
37:24 Well, to answer your question, I do have Thalassophobia. When I first bought the game, I didn't play it for a whole month out of sheer terror. I bullied one of my friends to buy the game as well, and only opened the game for the first time with him playing his laptop. I know Subnautica is a single player game by design. But, just the thought that there was somebody else in the water with me gave me that tiny bit of courage to try the game! 🙈 But yeah, Subnautica does help alleviate some of the Thalassophobia, I guess. Because these days, I don't need any training wheels or a chaperon to play the game. Not to spoil anything for you, but I boldly go into the deepest depths of the game without fear (but I still keep the audio muted even now 😅)
Your making great progress, just FYI the ham and cheese sandwich guys are Neebs Gaming also from YT. It's hard to comment without spoilers, so I'm just going to leave it at your on the right path
You can craft things on your cyclops submarine
You need a complete set of basic tools to explore the "Aurora."
no way i just started watching these today💀💀
You need to play Terraria again! I watched the other ones and loved them, but then saw they were 4 months ago!
I don’t know if you know but there is a 2subnatica game called subnatica below zero
Remember that the alien gun said it won't allow you to deactivate it cuz you're infected.
Lets go!!!!
I love the subnatica vids thank you whizzzzzzzz🤤🤤
I love your overlay audio tho 😢

🙋🏿♂
if you want to go see a playthrough of someone with extreme Thalassophobia watch ragegaming's playthrough. he stalls for so long to get out in the water that his friend has to nag him to jump in.
Or ButchX3, his playthrough is also very enjoyable
Nust play “No Man’s Sky” already please. Its a game like Subnautica but much more because its 2024 now
I only see 4 of the 6 videos of Subnautica 😢
@@chrishnatusko6815 2 of em was just duplicates just with copyright so I privated them but no worries you won’t wait long for new episodes 😁
Please play subnautica below zero after this

wtf are you on about
@@buildcraftgaming1548 Honestly, I dunno
The edited music kind of breaks the immersion of watching a Subnautica gameplay, and it is also too loud. I personally like to hear your voice while you read. I am here because I like Subnautica as a whole, both music and ambient sound, and also to hear what you have to say and your thoughts, so the edited music kind of ruins for me. What I would recommend is not to add or just add music of your choice when there is any Subnautica music playing, and also to lower the edited music volume.
4:20 you should swim out to the edge of the map, trust me it's worth it
