Dr. D. Introduces the New HotLanta Dual Drive Pedal from Missing Link Audio. This New Flagship pedal is the most Amazing release since the Original Peacock Overdrive 5 Years Ago.
The New Flagship Has Arrived… A Celebration of the Greatest Tones of All Time.
The Hotlanta takes the Best of each of our pedals and incorporates them into one Pedal and goes well beyond. The Hotlanta is amplifier reactive. Sensitive to the touch and responds to every note with a bloom of tone. And it is Hot! HotLanta allows you to plug into a clean amp on low volume and have it react and sound as if you had the volume cranked to 11. It is a Guitar Players Dream.
The pedal cleans up with your volume knob and saturates into tube like compression with plenty of pick attack as you roll the volume up or down. The Harmonics are so pronounced and Natural, it makes a non tube amp sound like a tube amp. The harder you pick the more your notes bloom and swell. The Sustain is Amazing.
HotLanta is dynamic and touch-sensitive. It is one of the most amazing pedals that has been introduced in many years. The tone of this pedal captures you by surprise. It has been described as featuring: “every element of that early 70's legendary rock tone” to “Fillmore East for any Amp!” it nails the Allman Brothers tone and it doesn't stop there.... It very much has all the elements of Blackmore, Gilmour, Page, Gibbons, Hendrix and many more of those legendary Guitar heroes.
Engineered for dynamic response and vintage coloration. Completely sensitive to the volume and tone knobs of your guitar. The Voice control allows you to dial in a vintage speaker quality. Similar to an old JBL D120. The mid-range and highs are soaked in sustain and saturation. The balance is exceptional.
This Dual Drive Pedal gives you the added benefit of having an extra gain stage when you want a little more. Perfect for solo’s or added drive without having to stack extra pedals.
Every Component used to build HotLanta is hand picked and tested for exact measurements.

I've had mine for a couple of months now and I love it. I first bought it for guitar, but when I run it into my bass rig...oh man is it equally awesome!
MLA just keeps getting better , there are countess overdrives on the market but none of them come close to the MLA produces, I’ve been playing for nearly 50 years and In my opinion they are the gold standard for great tone and quality.
Thank You for the kind words. You are going to love it.
Just got my HotLanta for Christmas and have been loving it so far! This pedal along with my new PRS Hollowbody make my Super Reverb sing all day long with sustain for days, man. Got a gig coming up for New Years Eve and am really looking forward to be able to give this pedal a proper workout! it will undoubtedly remain on my pedal board for quite a long time, if I had to guess. The artwork on the pedal is incredible and makes it by far the best looking pedal on my board, too!
Jeeze! That's THE tone!
It definitely has that Duane bark. It’s like a sax sound. About to get one to play with my deluxe reverb and Princeton that have c rex speakers

Took your advice and picked up the hot lanta and Duane Allman germanium pedals. Officially in Tone heaven when coupled with my fender 68 reissue....thank you
Now depending on your guitar i would definitely add the Peacock Humbucker set
Awesome 👍✌️
Hi , and greetings from France . As I'm a huge fan of ABB (and all the others) , when I heard about MLA, I couldn't help myself to buy the Peacock , and after , the Medicine Man . What is astonishing with those "twin pedals" , is that feeling of an amp pushed in your back while at low volume . Ok , let's talk about humbuckers, but with single coils, It's absolutely killer ! Thank you for the video !
Thank You for the comments... Make sure you check out our humbucking single coils that match the Peacock set we make.
The speaker is also a big part of THAT sound.
Great pedals. Have the peacock and statesboro and very happy with them.
Great duo for sure ! HotLanta is also amazing...
Sounds amazing.
Thank You
Thank you.
@@tonydtonyd9 I sprung for the HLDD based in your demo. Loved the tone and your playing. Thank you, sir!
Sounds great and some great playing.
It’s wonderful
Those pickups sound fat! I just got an email this morning introducing me to this pedal. I have the Peacock Germanium now but the Hot Lanta is sooooooo cool 😎
Now you need the Peacock Humbuckers to go with it..
@@MLAPEDALS I actually wind pickups the way Seth did back in the 50’s. They nail that pure PAF tone!
@@Earlvis I've got Seth Lovers, Throwbacks, Duncan Bonamassaa , and WCRs. All fine pickups for what they do but in all honesty these are completely different and really nail that particular Duane Allman type tone. Fat but clear at the same time if that makes any sense

They do sound fantastic! I highly recommend them for that Fillmore sound. I think the WCR’s are pretty awesome as well. I wind maybe 5-6 sets a year for friends and they really nail the Dickey Betts sound. I’ve been a huuuuuuuuge Brothers fan all my life and have chased the tone for decades. I think that MLA is where it’s at for getting the tone of the ABB without question! I may try a set of the Peachbuckers in one of my Epiphone Les Pauls. You sound ridiculously good in this video. J sent it tk a friend and he said “I want one!!!”
Ordered mine this morning!
You are going to love it..
@@MLAPEDALS It will sound great with my Roland JC-120!
Greetings, between the Hotlanta and Magician which would you say has the most modern sound? Looking for tightness and attack, something that will drive a high gain amp as well as sing sweetly on its own - thanks in advance.
Love your playing and your Allman Brothers tone. I have looked at several demos of the Peacock overdrive pedal and the Hot Lanta pedal. I have the Peacock over drive pedal. I have 2 questions. Do you think there is a huge difference between the 2 pedals? Also out of all the demos I have viewed you get the Duane Allman Tone down to a T. Are you just using the Fender amp and the pedal?
Dr. D uses the pedal and Peacock humbuckers and Hybrid JBL speaker for many videos. The pickups and the speaker make a big difference.
I have the hand wired Peacock and love it! Where do you think this fits in with that? ie Run a peacock into this or each pedal is for its own tone?
I have a germanium Peacock pedal. Would you add this or a Statesboro blues man?
HotLanta is the Cream of the Crop. Works with Everything Well.
Hey what settings did you have during this video? Thanks!

Beautiful ! what year is your Deluxe?
1968 Deluxe.....
1968 Deluxe reverb (with bright cap bypass on reverb channel) going into external speaker cab with MLA Hybrid speaker.
@@tonydtonyd9 That looks to be an original 68 and not the reissue right??
@@BradRocker yes, a real 68. A friend of mine with a reissue stopped by one day.. not much difference with the same speaker.
