What a waterful idea!
I watched your vids when I was a child. Good ol days.
*wotah waterfall
I really "lake" this idea!
I'm not completely sure, but I think I was the first person to view this on RUclips.😁 I'm just surprised.
Wait what 5 days ago?!?
And I’m the second person here
Huh
what how!!! thats impossible! are you a hacker? no way by 5 days
so...how did you find it? I uploaded it as unlisted 5 days ago and somehow you sleuthed it out
This is a great behind-the-scenes video. The reflection in the water is so effective!
I would like to see a video on set building! The backgrounds always look so cool!
cool, will keep that in mind
I used to watch these video's as a kid, now about 6 years later, I think they're still just as cool and funny as they were years ago. Thanks to make my childhood even better BrotherHood!
This was so helpful! I’ll have to try this in my next video. Thank you! You’re truly the GOAT of brickfilm
@Lucifer Morningstar 🅥 this is the thing you're asking for🖕
True that. The GOAT.
Thank you very much, very helpful!!!
Dude, this is amazing! 😃
This was awesome and I look forward to all those LOTR stop motions!!
Incredible 👏
I just started a LOTR role playing game and my fellow adventurers now LOVE this channel. I'm always fascinated by these "how it works" videos, and really love the progression you've shown over the years :)
I'd like to hear more about this lotr role playing game you're doing 👀
@@The_Unknown_Wanderer It's called The One Ring - find out more here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_One_Ring_Roleplaying_Game
incredible craftsmanship!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!! I JUST WAS WONDERING HOW TO DO THAT! I want to create a Pirates of the Caribbean video and i really need it! Youre the best without a doubt!
You really should make a lego avatar stop motion 😂😀(seriously that would be amazing ) !
You: does a whole vid on animating water
Me: watching the last shots of future animations over and over
That really is an amazing effect, can't wait for the future vids!
You are a really dedicated animator and one of my favorite Lego RUclipsr but over all I give this video a perfect 10 👌 nice job.
Awsome to see some more uploads! I love the style of your tutorial! you were one of me biggest inspirations! I would Love to see more videos in the future!
This is a really good way to emulate water.
Btw: what wire do you use?
something like this (not sure if this is the exact type) amzn.to/3KiaCIp
@@BrotherhoodWorkshop thx man. I'll check it out
Such awesome stop-motion techniques. I actually used your glass technique in my latest Hobbit animation. Using glass and 1x1 studs works so well. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks for the tips! Loved all the different tricks you share.
This reminds me of my childhood, when I watched "Augsburger Puppenkiste" (yes, I'm German). They always made water with plastic foil.
You even took it a bit further by making foaming water with the little round transparent one-piece bricks.
I love the gag of pulling of his hand
Creating stop motion is a very time consuming art. It allow you to be extremely creative. I one used some fabric on a pillow for ocean. I could shape the fabric and pillow for the motion of the water and let this big pirate ship move on top of it.
Always appreciate this kind of content! I was actually wondering how to animate water for some of my upcoming stop motions so this helped me out! :)
This is helpful! thanks for the tutorial!
These behind the scenes videos are a real treat! Thank you for sharing these, they are as enjoyable as the main video :) It's inspiring to see you solve problems in various ways.
I just use clear hair gel haha
x9000 Education right here!!!!! Thank you so much even through I'm far from having the fancy stuff, I can at least work with what I have and try not to fall asleep from long hours of stressful fun ^_^
Seriously you need to make a whole recreation of LOTR franchise
Water has ALWAYS been stop-motion's biggest obstacle. And it's even worse in LEGO.
i don't have greenscreen effects available on my animation app
Very creative solutions!
Animating water in stop motion is very difficult. I have just used blue Lego bricks and plates but plexiglass sure looks great because of transparency and reflections.
Please do a video about basic compositing, techniques for making it look realistic, basic set up, etc. It would be such a help to me as an amateur Lego stop-motioner.
You will never cease to amaze me, your work process is so creative and interesting… keep it up! You’re one of the few channels where I cannot WAIT for a new upload to come out…
Oh thank you! Finally, I know how to do it :)
can you please do a colab with brickli i think you guys could make some awsome animations
so great to see you fully active again! Welcome back @brotherhoodworkshop keep up the great work!
I'm not that big a LOTR fan but I love every video you make! Makes me want to get back into stopmotion myself
niiice please more video tutorial lego stop motion thabk dude
I really enjoy these Lego videos of _The Lord of the Rings_ you do with all the comedy thrown in the mix.
I'd say you're a pretty big Middle-earth fan.
*Wow! It's incredible!*
Nice to see another tutorial
So intricate and unique. Fascinating process and being able to recreate something in Lego
I miss some of your old ones
That is very impressive!
I’d love to know what you use as a green screen!
This amzn.to/3Sg6sCJ
yo what up
Cool!
I had guessed plastic over tin foil. Do I get points for being half right?
5 points to Kaleb A
Awesome! Thanks!
Oh wow that’s sick
this is nostalgic
Animation tier : god level
This was a marvellous breakdown or behind the scenes of how you accomplished that epic scene. Thank you very much for sharing, and doing such a great job.
Nice that your Back!
Hardest part about this is obtaining all the transparent 1x1 pieces
Nah bricklink makes it super easy
not first!!!!
Thanks for sharing this. Your animations are amazing and it is really fun to see what you do behind the scenes to make them come to life!
Wow
So in your latest video you said that you’ve exhausted your finished videos yet at the end we see other videos here in the works that we haven’t seen yet. I’ve ALSO noticed all of the other videos you’ve made are short but somehow the set designs are incredibly huge. I sense… a lotr in x seconds video coming?? (I’m not stalking all of your videos I’m just about to animate myself and came back to see the bts on this one for inspiration and tips…)
Interesting theory....that would indeed be an ambitious project...the type it would take me a long time to finish if I chose to do it right....
Thank you so much for this BTS, I’ve been struggling with a water effect for too long!
What does BTS mean ?
@@NarutoUzomaki65 behind the scenes
You're welcome! Hope it's helpful
You’re like the next Ray Harryhausen
And Phil Tippett the stop frame animator behind the Star Wars original trilogy
Hi!
Thanks for having these behind the scenes videos. They are impressive and inspiring.
👍👍
I thought the hand detachment scene was hilariously cool. Very cool behind the scenes footage too. Love your work!
I think I'll just stick to the lego movie tactic of spamming thousands of transparent blue studs everywhere to make water lol
awesome vid! ive used a piece of blue filter for water before, but the glass on top realyl makes it so much better!
At this rate ur remaking the Lotr films the amount of clips you have done from them now lol
so amazing!
What I imagine to be the nightmare of a stop motion artist: Water, Smoke, Explosions. As if making a stop motion movie wouldn't already be increadibly difficult and time consuming.
am asking youtubers what to do for a stop motion idea so what should I do for a lego
stop motion animation
Neat.
Are you going to do the water shot effects in AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER lego edition next? :,D
Wow. This is amazing. You must have godlike patience. xD
Maybe i would try doing the lego bits in different Sized shapes for more liqui-like appearance
Nice to see this well done with cool technology and computers try doing this without all the fancy technology and only use a cellphone
🐐
Beautiful work. Just happy to see this.
Dude, that is absolutely amazing!
Nice video! A behind the scenes that would be very helpful would be how to animate a sword fight
what specifically do you want to know? in theory it's not that different from everything else I animate, the characters are just swinging swords instead of walking or jumping.
@@BrotherhoodWorkshop hmmm how do i explain this. Its the movement, distance, and reaction of the swords and characters i dont understand. Thanks for replying.
It's too undisturbed, water is essentially paper and that means that it's very delicate and the slightest movement will make it move.
Was Sam wading into the Anduin or the Danube River? 😉
Yooo this is awesome and so useful! Thanks!
Early
Another channel to add to my subscription list 👀 you had me at stop motion and LotR.
The Plexiglass, Blue Filter and Black Board with the Studs as a splashing and ripple effect is Absolutely Brilliant.
This is pretty impressive. I neither have the skill nor the inclination or patience to do anything like this lol
A lego mario animation would be beast
thank for this it was really helpful
wow brotherhood workshop still going strong after all these years
Already better than Rings of Power.
Where did u get the poster?
made the image in after effects, got it printed at Walmart
Thanks!
Amazing work. Do you have any suggestions on software that is free and is able to remove rigging?
Why don't you animate the lip syck? it's piss me off
Wow very nice tips thanks
Note to self: that last bit goes for anything you want to film under water
I’m so glad he’s making more Lord of the Rings stop motion
Brilliant. And what a dedication!
Thanks for the detailed info!
