I made one like this about 30 years ago. Still have it in my Kennedy toolbox in the basement. (retired). I have also used it to help pull dowel pins, ect. I black oxided it and it still looks good. Good tool!
I made one of these 60 years ago as an apprentice engineer, these days it's easier to use a hand power drill especially a reversing type, a good cutting oil to use is lard.
I wold be much more good for your thread tools and for the thread itself if you were about to youse " thread oil " or just usual oil. But i like the idea👍
a tap wrench is about three quid ,, a good one is twenty ,,, and tempered tool steel , ive had mine for thirty years , ive no idea what value you put on your time , but mine gets charged out for a lot more than the price of a tap wrench ,,, why not go and invent vise grips next.
