Thanks for answering my question. It made complete sense to understand mercy as acceptance without judgement. It struck a chord with me and now I’m wondering why I didn’t realise that before. But I guess sometimes the obvious answers elude us the longest…God bless you both x thank you
I'm (not) a 28 years old girl from "the third country". I've never felt more related to someone, until I heard you speak. You put in words things in my heart. The knowledge of your existence is alone helpful, Mr. Nothing.
John has a very clear grasp on life, consciousness, the human experience and the bigger picture, which can all be explained simply by getting back to stillness or consciousness. As he says, words just confuse the matter which is absolutely right. The more we speak, the more confused we get and I guess the egoic mind starts to take over with opinions and beliefs lol.
Mercy is the sacred word that I use while meditating and contemplating to bring me back to the Presence of God when thoughts are flooding in my mind 🙏❤️🔥 Pax et Bonum

John your explanation of "The Fall" is exquisite. Listening to you makes me miss my spiritual director Brother John Crocker. He spoke just like you, in simplicity. 😪 Thank you.
“When I heard the learn’d astronomer, When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me, When I was shown the charts and diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them, When I sitting heard the astronomer where he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room, How soon unaccountable I became tired and sick, Till rising and gliding out I wander’d off by myself, In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time, Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars.” (Walt Whitman; from Leaves of Grass)
Good to see you guys again. I suppose being aware of our failures helps keep us humble. But we also need to pat ourselves on the back sometimes, otherwise depression could overwhelm us. Again balance is the key. Blessings from locked down , Auckland, New Zealand.
With proper perspective, being aware of our failures should perhaps draw our attention to the great mercy which has allowed us to not only continue living, but also to have moments of joy, hope, peace, love; and even occasional glimpses of the eternal.. All this despite the fact that much of our thinking and behavior are contrary to the Eternal Principles of Life. Life that we have an opportunity to inherit.
I think that if John's life hasn't quite worked out as he had hoped, - he has more than made up for it helping a great number of people through his videos.
@@williamoarlock8634 A bit of trollishness, a dash of edginess, a sprinkle of that adolescent desire to provoke outrage, a decent dollop of tsundoku, a t-shirt which can only be described as the lovechild of Three Wolf Moon and a Tapout shirt, and an angry glare which has seen far too little of the world to justify it.
We think we need his love in different ways, because we are clouded and muddled up thinking 'when I do wrong he will only love my apology' 'when I do right he will only love my praise' 'when I'm sad he will only love my begging'. But his love is one-size-fits all, and it's us that change and need to invent words like mercy, forgiveness, compassion, friendship to try to justify being loved, and he accommodates it endlessly. Just like Adam and Eve felt shame for nakedness after eating from the tree of knowledge (of good and evil), and he provided them clothes, we feel shame for our shortcomings and so he gives us mercy. Perhaps truly he doesn't require Adam and Eve to wear clothes, or us to beg for mercy. Those are things we feel we need in this muddled state, and he provides them. I don't know though, just a thought. feet on the ground.

So do you think we should start asking mercy from ourselves instead of God? Most of the negative and evil thoughts come from our own subconscious our anxiety and flaws that we see within ourselves. God’s mercy is Limitless should we instead of asking for him for mercy should we start thanking him for his mercy? I believe it’s with Gods mercy that we are able to deal with harshness this world can bring as well as the harshness we can have on ourselves. Would love you hear your opinion on this. Thanks!
As Russia invades the sovereign land of Ukraine, I would like John’s take on the brutality emerging from the country that means so much to him. How does John think about these horrors? I cannot accept these terrible, violent acts.
You can read "Ukraine is the Canonical Territory of the Russian Church" by Father Theodore Zisis. It's from 2018 but it would shed some light on the world.
Sad how you deny the greatness of life as a human being, how everyone is a sinner in the eyes of God.....let him show himself in all his glory and then I might start to consider that. Prove you are here ...not in thought but physically
John, there's no hurry ! Just finish the laughter first and _then_ resume speaking. If you do both simultaneously, it becomes next to unintelligible ! *Example:* 8:13 *what ?*
