looks good but... I had this crazy idea , why not just turn the frame upside down then bolt the rearend back up and flip the front spindles ??? just thinking ...
when welding with a mig welder do short 1 cm paths or the metal will warp and you willl lose ridgidity try not to go in a zigzaag like you did and. instead go slower with thicker wire
that newer states amn isnt a 7 speed its whats called a varidrive its got a transaxle with forward newtral and reverse and a pulley witch is moved with the "gear selector" which isd like a tourqe converter and as it is tensioned it changes the rtatios look up varidrive mtd on google and youll see what i mean
I know im 6mo late, but you couldve kept the swing axle, shaved the bottom, flipped the spindles upside down and swapped sides, and ended up with lowered, cambered, and pivoting front axle
keep up the great work
Hey thx for the encouragement! It really does help seeing comments like these.
when welding make sure the surface is really clean its better to use a grinding disk and the wire wheel to give the metal a better clean
I can see you being a big RUclipsr man! Keep up the work enjoying the vids!
Hey thx that means a lot, glad you enjoyed the video.
Dude this is awesome! I’m gonna get one and start a build probably come here for ideas!
Pick one up, I found a bunch on FB marketplace!

The 111 makes for a sick race mower
I can’t wait to build the Deere!
@goodtimesgarage I'm currently building a craftsman. I'm currently in that stuck phase where I'm not sure what direction to go with it.

I see where your going, but goodness that would be a nightmare trying to get the body panels on lol
I have the same Murray. After 34 years it finally clunked to a halt 3 weeks ago.
Than it’s time to slam it lol.
hey man the "bolt" on the transaxle was most likeley a rusted on c or e clip
Yea I did a little research afterwards and I think you’re right it was probably a clip.

Ok I’ll keep that in mind next time definitely feel like I weld to hot sometimes.

Hey I didn’t know that, I’ll look into what you said. Probably gonna build that one after we build the green one.
This is cool. Thanks so much for posting. Subbed!
Man... If you had a boat sized tarp... you'd have another garage.
lol, I love my boat. But yea it takes up so much of the garage!
Where do you get the pulleys?
Tractor supply or Amazon. Amazon has a lot at better selection.
@@goodtimesgarage Thanks!
