As a person of colour, I am so used to white owned jewellery stores staff, giving me the "fear stare." I would have to immediately try to put them at ease, by saying "I'm here to buy not steal". It's refreshing to see Peter, interact with customers, who traditionally, jewellers would have deep reservations, in allowing in their store. Trust me, every one of those customers of colour, appreciate and value, Peters respect and warmth.

Peter always struck me as a real genuine down to earth dude, in these videos you see tons of tourists or fans or middle-class people rolling through who may or not buy something or who may spend $2,000 or something and he never seems bothered or peeved to answer questions and give them a good experience. Obviously at the end of the day, this is his job, he is going to charge you more than anything cost him in material and labor, but to expect otherwise is unrealistic and absurd. But I don't feel he is trying to pull a fast one on anybody, or make anyone feel unwelcome.

I heard that to aftermarket engineer these pieces. One has to have a new bezel replacement cnc-ed . Out of whichever precious metal the watch is already made from. And also sometimes to fit all the diamonds etc ... They can remove the existing Patek phillippe movement and replace it with another smaller Patek one .. can you confirm how much of these beautiful pateks are original and how much hard had to be altered. Not questioning the stones they look spot on x
I cannot answer your specific question, but I can say this, a watch with aftermarket jewels or diamonds has significantly less resale value than a watch that has never been altered after it left the factory. To each their own, everyone is free to spend their money as they see fit, but you should do so with all the facts at your disposal.

However, much like Rolex's, you would not have any chance to buy one direct from Ferrari unless you already had an established relationship with Ferrari and currently owned at a minimum 3+ Ferraris. You could have bought one new for $1,000,000, drove it a few thousand miles, and sell it today for about $3,000,000. Again, the question is, do you want to buy something that will effortlessly increase in value as you enjoy it?
