I would love to see/hear more about the potential changes in chest seal protocols. I'm an old gomer, but I would love to keep current without taking a semester at my local community college.
Have you tried searching it up? As much info as there is on the net theres gotta be something out there. Best of luck, please report back if you find something.
I like the idea of the elastic to hold everything together, but in the colder months it's going to lose elasticity and sag. I would go with nylon with a tension strap. Unless someone else has a better idea? I am open to other thoughts
13:00 This has always been my question, like if I am in a public space without a BVM is mouth ventilation adequate if their RR is low and they are looking hypoxic?
Yes. Mouth to mouth or mouth to mask ventilations will never be as effective as a BVM but will be better than slow shallow respiration as seen in an opioid OD
The Quikclot Combat Gauze is gauze that is impregnated with a hemostatic agent (Quikclot/kaolin) which through a chemical reaction helps clots form faster to aid in slowing or stopping bleeding. So it's a "special" gauze that requires additional steps and components in manufacturing. The other gauze is ***just*** gauze; non-woven cotton material that's z-folded and compressed, with a very simple manufacturing process. I don't necessarily think the high price is *justified* for the Quikclot gauze, but I did just want to make it clear that the Combat Gauze/Quikclot gauze is a much more advanced item than the normal wound packing gauze. That's why there's a large price difference, unfortunately. That said, both are effective. The cheap gauze will still let you get pinpoint pressure on the bleeding artery and is still an effective life-saving intervention and worth carrying. So if all you have or can afford is the cheap stuff, it will work just fine! We carry a bunch of both on my ambulance, and I carry both in all of my personal kits.
I'm not a medic but was a 1st responder in a few LE agencies plus military. Going back to when I was a Boy Scout, first aid was my first merit badge. As a result, I have enough knowledge & familiarity to populate my own kits & save a few $$ over the commercially packed kits.
Man starting off the video with that comment about RTS fixing issues, I was expecting hardly any good comments when just most of them were good comments.
Havent seen your channel in like... Months and I get on one of your videos and boom three minutes old
I wonder if they’d ever sell it as just the case so you could start from zero with your own supplies.
SOE makes good med cases
@@2006Mercury Got a URL for that?
Be well my friend… be well.
I like the removable red tape on the deployment pull. If I'm turkey hunting around other hunters, the last thing I want is something red on me.
Merry Christmas Sam & Families. Looking a bit thin mate, hope your well. 🧡🙏.
Great review - thank you for teaching!

Came here looking for this comment. I haven't heard or found anything.

Nice vid bro.
Curious if you would want to look at small kits by Fieldcraft Survival or Warrior Poet.

It will be good enough for the time that it needs to happen, if it does need to happen.
What is your thought on carrying two tourniquet. Are group is now being taught on the usage and the importance of carrying two tourniquet.
Looks like greate solution to attach to carseat headrest
Agreed
It is not a bad concept however; the style or ‘form factor’ is, by appearance, obviously marketed towards a certain market.
Sam, could you touch on training now in swat there and flight training.
If the gloves weren’t so complicated to open it would be a great form factor for ifacs
Good stuff (Thank you)
Audio sounds different?
why does the military quikcloat costs 45 $ while the other just costs 1$ ? thats insane

The tactical diaper
👍
I'd rather have Co-band over tape.
In this economy they should offer it empty.
Heehee it looks like meat and potatoes when unrolled.
MyFak Pro was cheaper and more stuff lol
