Ideas (sorry, I’ve thought a LOT about the Kayn build, specifically Shadow Assassin)
7 Hexblade Warlock, but do not use Hex Warrior’s Cha damage swap. Keep it on Dex, reasons below
Keep the 7 Ranger levels, Horizon Walker is phenomenal Kayn shit
Invest more into Dex than Cha, reasons below
Go 6 Shadow Monk specifically. Get Shadow Step. Thematically Relevant. Also, with the ability to pick one weapon that you are proficient in and make it a monk weapon, you can have a two-handed longsword. Not exactly the reach of a Glaive or Halberd, but still solid! Also able to use Martial Arts. Kayn is a master of all weapons, including these fucking hands
Just how I would do it! So glad to finally see this build on your channel, though. Here’s to a future Viego build! (6 Bladesinger 7 Oathbreaker 7 Eldritch Knight is my take on that)

Oh neat, new format. Some thoughts:
•Every time I hear about the Battlemaster, I feel an unholy amount of salt towards the playtesters for deciding it wasn't fun to give fighters maneuvers at base. In a perfect world where maneuvers were the basic, what subclass would you use for Kayn?
•It's so weird that you can just make an agile mobile character without touching Monk, honestly. Not a bad thing though, this build is legit.
•I like the new format a great deal. Only thing I am not crazy about is the recap being a recap. Would be nice if you kept voicing your thoughts at the end, but that's just me.
Hopefully you get Sona or Leona requested by your patrons soon, I'd love to play as my mains(and you already did Morg so I can't nag). Great work as always, Dorans!
Hahaha, I agree! I think they'd be better as Fighter base features than locked behind the Battlemaster. I would probably make Kayn a Samurai then for the temp HP and free advantage on an attack.
I thought I was going Shadow Monk for sure before I did the deep dive!

You asked how we think the format could be improve, so here's my take on it:
I feel that sometimes you record different takes in the same ""paragraph"" (I don't know what better word to use here, maybe section?) and in the editing you do some crops that have a lot of pause between them. For example, the King Arthur joke. I found it really funny, but I feel that you cut it through 3 different audio tracks and made it really slow. My suggestion is that when things like that happen, try to re-record the segment but in one faster take, it should bring down the time lenght of the video. If you don't like the result, just take the cropped version :)
Really liked the new format tho. I think that the reason it got long was the 3 multiclasses, usually your builds just get 2 of these. Keep up the good work, mate!
Thanks Theo, that was very helpful. You should hear what the recording process sounds like 😂. But if you're noticing the multiple takes thing then I should probably just rerecord the whole bit.

Nice work doran i was thinking that you would do the 2 version separadly and i was thinking that for assasin kayn you would take shadow monk/ phantom rogue and for rhast hexblade warlock/battlemaster fighter but hey nice build.

My clue for next week is that even though it’s cold out now, standing by this guy would keep you nice and warm no matter where you went.

I think the better way to build this for blue kayn is by going 7 levels in blood hunter with the subclass ghost slayer then going assassin rogue
And if you go I think 18 levels you stay at one and don’t die sorta like tryd but for flavor reasons it’s GA

Evelynn is going to be tricky. We've talked about her before on the Discord!
Tbh based on lore, neither Kayn or Rhaast have high charisma. Kayn has no rizz(being crazy is not viewed great by Akali) and Rhaast takes years to attempt to overtake Kayn's body. Other darkins can do it in an instant.
Other nitpick I have is that Scythe as a weapon should require more strength to wield(I don't know stats of such weapon, but it doesn't screem finese weapon to me)
But hey, how else are you gonna play good warlock if not with high charisma.
At first I also expected the build to be like universally the starting form(warlock+fighter) for first few levels, then about 10+ there should be a choice to go full darkin(I guess more warlok + barb) or shadow assasin(rogue).
No wonder darkin weapons are often attempted to be homebrew.

Honestly I don't even get why people say EDGY every 5 seconds, for League he's like pretty normal, yeah he's an assassin with a scythe but his story is pretty average. There's plenty of champions like Nocturne or Sion who literally just talk about murder, and blood, and how they like to watch someone suffer.
Kayn is very anime-inspired or at least he seems to be. I assume that's where these jokes come from.
I agree, his voicelines are really about the battle between Rhaast and Kayn, and his thematic isn't edgier than other champions'.

sHey you think you able to do things like Warwick, Nocturne, Yone, Aatrox, Fiddlesticks, Mordekaiser, Pyke ? I tried to make those champs but i failed in theory crafting, i wonder if you are able to make any of them "alive" in DnD ^_^
We definitely have ideas for all of them! Noc is probably going to be the trickiest though haha.
@@DoransAndDragons I was thinking Fiddlesticks and Noc are hardest, one is alive nightmare and second is incarnation of fear that become demon and feed on it, Cant wait to see videos :D
