Thanks for the thorough review ❣️ I am still holding out on buying a robot vacuum until they figure out the hair tangling issue. Spending $1000 and manually having to remove tightly spun on hair on the roller isn’t justifiable. They need to create an AI function to detect, unravel and remove the hair 💡
Glad to see Samsung getting more competitive in this space. They seemed like a Dyson before with their out of the box designs but now they seem more on track
I think the difference between Samsung and other companies in this market is that Samsung is known for aggressively discounting products after they get released and are not *brand new* so i would not be surprised if this dropped to 1100-1300 relatively soon to make it a lot more competitive.
I just bought this set today for $859.99 and also got $100 off for trading in my old samaung robot vacuum. I couldn't justify spending over 1k, but took advantage of that deal i saw.
There's a category of Vacuum called an Air Purifier? So my vacuum purifies my air by sucking up dirt off the floor/carpet? But how does that clean the air I'm breathing?
Could you recommend the best vacuum robot with mopping for german shepherd at home, please? Something that is best for dog hair and the best brushes that do not tangle maybe?
We have just added Pet Rating scores, which addresses pet hair, to our Best Robot Vacuums list right here: vacuumwars.com/best-vacuum-cleaners/robot-vacuums/ Our video about this should be coming soon. Thank you for asking about it.
I damaged my jetbot+. Obviously I don't expect Samsung to repair it for free. But they offer no support out of warranty and parts are nowhere to be found. I have many Samsung devices and find them to be great to use and durable. Love the company and I am considering buying the jetbot combo. But the lack of replacement parts is a serious issue when you can order cheap parts everywhere for a decade old roborock.
@@eric131313 look, I’ve had many bots (set them up and used them). Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Neato and iRobot. From my experience, which it’s ok if you have had a different experience, or even another opinion, that’s your right, I’ve only had positive experiences with iRobot. The obstacle avoidance is great, the parts are all replacable and available on their website (in stock). They still stock parts for bots which are 10 years old, or older (with instructions on how you can replace them yourself). The app always worked, it was simple and well designed, all not things I can say about any of the competitors. The roomba S9 plus to this point, is probably still my favorite vacuum bot (if we are talking pure vacuuming performance and convenience). The bot here in Switzerland is priced at 1100 dollars. The dreame X40 as a comparison is priced at 1600. Both of these seem similar in what they can do (the Roomba doesn’t seem to have a extending side brush), but still. All of that, with iRobot quality at that price
I just got the robot and it cleans and mops very well. but aprox every third time it drives out of the station i get the error object calibration sensor needs to be reset... i press reset and then everything is fine again. But its really annoying since it needs to refill 3 times on a run and that means it cant finish a single run without me helping it once. Any idea what to do here?
I’ve actually been pretty disappointed with the channel in recent years. Too standardized to have decent insight into the quirks/issues. These days I trust Jamie Andrews the most.
Have had the iRobot S9 and M6 combo for years now, love them. But just moved, previously owner has some substantial thresholds between room on a single floor rancher (thresholds are due to flooring thickness changes, subfloor is uniform in hight). All rooms are free of carpet, but now M6 can’t go between rooms because of threshold edges being about rug edge hight. What all-in-one system would you currently recommend that can handle climbing thresholds that at 1/4-5/16th ish in hight.
Do any of these robot vacuums with refill/cleaning stations have the option to connect a permanent water line in? Curious if it's feasible to eliminate the need to refill the new water reservoir and only worry about emptying the dirty water container.
In the US the options are kind of limited. We have a quick article here about the two options from Roborock: vacuumwars.com/roborock-unveils-new-plumbing-integrated-robot-vacuums/
I would not connect a waterline to cheap 100 dollar station. That's just asking for water dmg unless you get some sort of magnetic valve to open only when the docking station asks.
The main reason I'm looking to this vacuum is for pet hair. It's mainly for hard floors. It's this brush good for that or is a soft brush better like the previous generation?
Why did you not include the part where the mop can become easily loose if it. gets stuck on clothes at ground level? The drying process of the mop is prolonged. It also requires connectivity via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to detect the robot for application use. However, using 5G cannot fully utilize this feature. This bot really mop better than my roborock.
Thank you for your review, Do any robot vacuums connect to a central vac system to empty it's collection bin? I'd definitely get one if it was able to dock, empty to my central vac and go out again.
Hi, I want to ask. I think you know that most flats aren't always all on the ground floor because some of them have small steps. So, my question is if it goes to a room, let's say a sitting room, but in front is a small step, can it go over or not?
I’ve had Samsung fridges, washing machines and vacuums and they were so unreliable and the support so bad that I now never touch the brand even though this does look great.
@@thomasschabbach2736lmfao everything in my house is Samsung, including a 15 year old flat screen in my garage which I'm only gonna replace because the picture is not up to par, nothing has ever failed.

Of all the tests I’ve seen you do with these robots, I never see a “pet toy stuffing/fluff test.” My iRobot J9+ never gets the toy innards. It will push them or go over them and not pick them up even when I throw it in the path haha. Can you add that as a test? Pet’s toy stuffing pickup-ability
Pre-ordered it a while back and put it to test as soon as I got it. Too many issues with AI including getting lost, miss IDs, app failures, etc. Needs a lot more tuning.
Can I make a recommendation for a future test? Can you test dock dustbin emptying? We have very hairy dogs (2 afghan hounds) and while I love the dustbin emptying feature of our existing roborock, the path the dust takes when exiting the robot to the dustbag causes a lot of longer hair to clog. Eventually it requires me manually sticking my finger in around a 90 degree turn to pull chunks of hair out. It would be nice to know on future reviews how large or how many bends or how much suction power the dock has to empty the robot dustbin!

I unfortunately purchased the non AI version. (their site did not show a difference in them when they first came out and they were the same price) it has been in for warranty work now 2 times in the past 2 months... first the base stop sucking the dirty water. Now it is back at Samsung because it is not navigating properly and can not clean. It is going into a room and spending about 2 min in it and calling it done. Also one of the mop pads is intermittently not lowering. I can say that when it does work it works really well! I took a gamble on this by preordering it and I think I lost. We will see. Also Samsung only has a 10 day return window so if you don't like it you better be quick on sending it back!
Another video where I noticed you are showing less of the product in use, more of the product's marketing videos, and more graphs/charts. And you still have that weird "$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$" notation instead of just showing us the price. What's the point of that? Is one $ worth 10 dollars? 50 dollars?
It's great when it works but it has broken twice since I've had it. It is too expensive to break within a couple of months of buying it. Samsung should stick to Televisions and phones. I have to send the whole unit back for then to fix it. I will not buy any more robots or appliances from them anymore.
