You have a real treasure in that washboard. I've seen these in antique shops but never with the glass intact. Great job...love the lights !!! ❤🎄❤ A great tribute to your grandparents.....and a wonderful memory for you and to be passed down.
Beautiful projects ! Good idea from your hubby to add the lights! How special it is from your grandma ! Def not a trash to treasure just a treasure to an even bigger one 🤗💕
It is absolutely beautiful! I have always wanted a glass washboard. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas and video. Have a fantastic week! ❄️💗❄️⛄️❄️
I always love using a family heirloom in my designs/decor. Unfortunately both my grandmothers passed away before I was born (& 1 grandpa too) so I love having things that they held in their hands; it makes me feel connected to them. Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece with us. Have a fabulous week. 🤗 #kindnessmatters
Oh I just loved this. I was going to take the washboard from my parents down for the Holidays. Now I can decorate it instead! Thank You so much for sharing.
Both projects are great!! Especially love the washboard .... I didn’t know there was such a thing as a glass washboard! So cool that these items were your Gramma’s! ❤️❤️
Looks so cute, the lites add such a nice touch. If you are going to change the flowers with the seasons, you can use Velcro instead of glue and just pull off each piece.
Beautiful finds, and you made them even more beautiful! A hint, vinegar promotes rust, you spray it on and let it sit until you have your desired look. Coke, removes rust. Same way, spray or pour it on and the rust will come off. You may have to scrub or brush it a bit. Tyfs.
That's so crazy to hear that it promotes rust. I googled how to get rust off and the first thing that popped up was vinegar! How weird! I will have to try the coke thing though..thanks!
@@WendiLee that is weird, but it's wrong, lol. Several Diyers have used that method for rust, and the more intense one is toilet bowl cleaner, that works great. Used it years ago on a home project, before I became addicted to RUclips videos, lol. Have a beautiful Sunday!
❤️ the washboard !!! But that was a Great Idea putting the Kenya block on the back of the flowers cuz I made a swag with those same exact ones and boy did I have some trouble flying it down
Everyone, who wants to Antique stuff they use vingar, so instead of taking the rust out, you added to it. I think to take out rust you use baking soda. Your items turned out really cute. TFS I love how you want to preserve your gramma's stuff. Treasured Memories.
I love it!! Gives me a great idea for some of my family's heritage items!! TFS!! ❤❤❤

I had my grandma's washboard too. I hung in my kitchen for years. Love what you did with the washboard. Your grandma will love what you did with it.
I have my great grandmother's washboard.... I will be cleaning it and hanging it soon. Great ideas!!
Awe, Grandma is going to love what you've done with it! So cool. I could have used that to wash clothes on the road. 😂
Haha right!!
