Definitely agree, the splitting of topics into small chunks and mastering them is a great approach to retain knowledge.

@@jamescross Finding a social group that enjoy discussing the topic you are learning is very helpful. It can be on Reddit or Stack or discord. If you take a class online there would most likely be some message board connected, use it to ask questions and even more important, try to help others as this is a good way to practice what you are learning. You may find that other more experienced developers would reply to your solutions with “improvements”, don’t get offended and learn from what they show you :)

Thanks so much James, as a female programmer I have always struggled to get access to seasoned professionals as they are basically largely male, without the risk of sounding amateur or getting into weird situations (iykwim). Your channel is super helpful and I took notes from this video in particular and you helped me understand how those parts I already had an awareness of (but didn't understand how they fit with each other) work in simple terms. I now I know what I need to do! Thanks soooo much again, hope your channel keeps growing, you totally deserve it!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thanks for the feedback! We totally need more women in the industry for more rounded perspectives. Have you looked for any local programming meetups? Where I live there are some programming language specific ones, but there are also some female devs groups. Might be a great way to make some friends. Best wishes and thanks again for the super thanks!

He definitely has a gift of explaining terms and concepts in a, how do I say? laywoman's terms,😂😂lol jk the feeling is mutual I've been taking notes as well as screenshots on a cpl of his very informative heartwarming, and inviting vids. Definitely no gatekeepers in this building lol

The approach I'm using to learn new things is applying the concept of divide and conquer. It's helpful, I'm so lucky to know this when I was learning Data Structures and Algorithms.
    Thank you

Hi, I wanted to say thanks for all your videos, they are very helpful. I’m taking a Full Stack boot camp program . I’m in the mid point of the program and I feel I hardly have learned anything. I am a person that learns one thing at a time and once I have learned something good I move on. Have I made a mistake on taking this boot camp program?
