- Nugget spent the last week digging every day, so he was filthy and the water we drained out of the sink was brown…. And yes, I had to clean the kitchen from top to bottom with Clorox wipes after I did that…
when I was young I was told that you should never bathe cats, so i never bathed mine. They were indoor cats, though, and seemed to stay pretty clean. But I've changed my mind about "never". Sometimes you do have to bathe them. Depends on the cat.
Nugget’s basically pigpen from Charlie Brown. He digs like a dog every day and comes home filthy….
Sometimes they get into something that you have to get off. Also as they get older, or if they get overweight, they're no longer able to groom themselves like they used to be able to do.

Double teaming Nugget is a must… he’s pretty much resigned to his fate ,as you can tell by the expression on his face . He’s always been a dirt digger so he’s been getting baths he was a kitten.
Yep, gotta gently wring em out well, especially if winter coat or they'll never dry, they can get hypothermia.
I dry my cat with a (warm) hair dryer until he's half dry. Mine is a Harlequien colour, like your baby

I don’t think it’s necessary to do this, cats clean themselves. They have smells that help identify each other, you putting essential oils on him is making all the other cats on the block detest him lol
He’s literally pigpen from peanuts. Digs deep daily…. Comes home bloody often. He gets bathed every month, has for 7 years. Gets expensive kitty shampoo,he’s at the spa
There are times where cats need a bath. I use shampoo made for them and without a scent because scents can overwhelm their more sensitive sense of smell. Like being stuck inside an elevator with a person wearing strong perfume/cologne. I heat up the room and drying towel, have the water warm, lower the lights, no music playing and be gentle with them all to reduce their stress. Yes, they don't like going into the water, at first, but it seems they like their clean fur afterward, esp. if the shampoo helps with their overly dry skin and when they are so old they no longer clean themselves.
If you use harsh soap the cat will start grooming more and even start biting and scratching his skin and cause infection. I bath my cat for like one minute and then into a towel to get warm. Why the long cold bath like that? My cat just shakes like a dog and i hold him in the towel for 5 minutes and he is fine. I feel so sad for your kitty. Hes a good boy. This is totally unnecessary
Speaking without understanding huh… that was hot water and essential oils cat shampoo. We’ve done this for 40 years. How about you?

@richarddouthitt6687 40 years cold uncomfortable showers. Many parents parent that long. Doesnt mean a thing. I bath my kitty and he sits there happy no scatching no meowing just calm. Look how tense your cat is. Trying to get out. Pure torture your cat just takes it at this point poor thing. Listen to him meow. My cat never makes that long drawn out noise. Keep telling yourself you're doing good when truly you're torturing that cat.
„Essential oil shampoo“? How stupid do you think we are? Ajax is a Soap for clining the plates and knifes.. ist very aggressiv to cats Skin. Let it be. Stop torturing cats. You hold the cat in the Camera , ist cold, but you dont care…- you make online clics with it.
If you think this liquid is suitable for bathing, you should bathe in it yourself, because a cat's skin is more sensitive than yours.
