Powerful words and delivery from a man who clearly understands and can preview the coming situation over the "Western world". If we assume quite correctly, that Islam itself, as practised (not by many Muslims), by those who teach/extol/promote it, will directly and promptly curtail and eventually extinguish any freedom to speak if it goes against their dictates, then the values we hold dear - those that have been fought for over decades and centuries - will disappear completely. We have to understand that Islam brooks no compromise, no opposition and no criticism whatsoever.
This is not even mentioning the total suppression of entertainment, including theatre (unless it is "approved"), popular music, the local pub, comedy shows (how many of those are there in Riyadh?) and only a conditional permission of sporting events.
The first to go, as in any dictatorship throughout history, will be free speech. The very concept is anathema to Islam - the word itself means "submission".
It may well be that global demographics will be unrecognisable after 2100 - it may happen that Islam inhabits Europe and Judaeo-Christians from Europe will inhabit (and make successful) the Middle East and further afield!!!!! Mass immigration will be followed by mass migration!!!
That's why democrats like Islam.

Mr Steyn's reference to David Icke earlier in his discourse is useful to remember when he recounts several absurd and insane cases brought before Courts around the Western nations. In these cases, each was deemed to be unlawful, due to Laws having been passed in the respective nations. That is the whole point of Mr Icke's argument - this movement IS worldwide, whether or not it is being controlled in the shadows by shape-shifting lizards or simply a sinister group of humans. It cannot be coincidental that similar Laws are passed in Western nations simultaneously - surely, a connection exists.
