Agree..Savoy Brown sadly has been lost in the shuffle when discussing thd great blues rock bands like Cream, Jeff Beck Group, Fleetwood Mac...Kim Simmonds never took the foot off the pedal. Been listening since I heard A Hard Way to Go on the radio back in 70. Only saw them once in a dive bar in Asbury Park maybe 1990...Dave Walker was back with him..show was amazing. And like my buddy said, " i was so close to Kim Simmonds i could have spit on his guitar.😅
I saw this group in Houston, Texas in about 2003 - a three man group with Kim and two other guys, at a restaurant. There were about 40 people there and I was sitting about 20 feet from the band, eating supper and lovin' every minute of it!
I've often thought that the lyrics or vocals have at times let Savoy Brown down but this vocalist seems to be a decent song writer and top shelf singer. I've never thought Kim Simmonds was an average guitarist though. He had that in spades.

VIKKI WAS THE LOVE OF MY L89FE, absolutely the best friend I ever had. i miss her every day. ./ I onlhope I can care for our boys as well a well as ytou would have.

Still as good as Savoy Brown always was. Of all the brit bands SB is likely the most underrated and unheard of.
