Its funny how time works. When Martina was at the top there was no question about who was the greatest womens tennis champion ever. Now she hardly gets mentioned in the goat conversation. IMO she alone was more responsible for revolutionizing and the evolution of womens tennis than any other. She was the most competetive dug in player for a very long time that Ive ever seen. She would do anything to win. And the times that she overcame in a match should be celebrated. Im a huge Graff fan but Id even put Martina a tic above her.

I loved how, in 2003, on the same day that Roger Federer won his first singles title, John McEnroe later became so upset during the women's doubles final that it might go on too long and push the mixed final to the next day or another court and deny him the chance to call the match that tied Ms Navratilova with Mrs King's record of twenty combined Wimbledon titles. He even ranted during points when all four players were in the backcourt that doubles is played at the net, and Martina would be turning in her grave if she were dead instead of waiting to get on the court. Mr McEnroe (who had not yet recovered from Steffi Graf's withdrawal in 1999 after they had reached the semifinals) became a little emotional during the mixed final, and then Ms Carillo told him, "It's not too late," which sadly did not have the same success as the prediction in 1993 of the Duchess of Kent to Jana Novotna that Jana would win it one day. And, happily, after that 2003 final, Ms Navratilova did not annoy any of the officials by taking a few blades of Centre Court grass.

There has never been a women serve and volley player like Martina

And I adored Monica Seles. If no stabbing, she would have continued to beat Stef

Excellent short ℹ️📹., Both awesome 🎾 *players.,
Chris, was present during Martina's 🎤 *speech, upon 'Save The Rose Theatre', stage, as they highLighted both her career (70's to 1989), and contributed to a 'Tribute', to honoured fellow guest, 'Billie Jean King' 🏆.,
Stephanie Graff, would attend later the same 🌄, amidst a parade of supporting sport's 🌟✨, from around 🌐.
Shame 'Everett', was v. *PDA💑, to partner., I'd try for *intro.. Ahh-Well 🤷🏻‍♂️!!

    Martina's weakness was clay.
    Steffi had no weakness.

Martina is better player than Graf, Graf was so lucky, Seles should take that place of Graf. So Seles>Martina>Evert>Graf.

Any truth to the rumor that the USTA is gonna outlaw left handers after Nadal retires?? Hope so. Can't handle their weird spin.

at the time many people found it suspicious how she went from being pudgy to then all of a sudden being shredded with veins popping out all over the place.
many suspected some chemical help...its just one of the reasons why Chrissie was always a way more popular figure

One of the best ever. I personally prefer Williams sisters over her, especially on grass. But what a legend, man!

Margaret Court should have said a couple of sweet words about Martina in this hommage video too, she´s the absolut slam record holder and she had a short rivalry with Martina too, I don´t know why Chrisy and Steffi got to speak here but Maggy Court wasn´t invited

Margaret Court is a homophobe and believes in conversion therapy to cure homosexuality... of course she wouldn't speak nicely of Navratilova and thence wasn't invited.
