The Story:
It was 2011. Late in the year. What started as a small town ambition to sell pianos through social media had shown some promise as a standalone RUclips music video channel. We had a few videos under our belts. We had a handful of subscribers. We were building steam. We were loving it! But one looming, sour-faced, obstinate obstacle stood in the way.
Reality.
How could we sustain this? How could we keep this pace? We had robbed too much time away from family, day jobs; we were living two lives - nocturnal and diurnal - in an attempt to write music and film videos in every spare second. Our day jobs, including the Piano Store itself, saw a sharp decline due to negligence. Reality hit. It hit hard. Our music videos were not providing near enough to provide for our families, our number one priority. They say that the only difference between a large pizza and a professional musician is that a large pizza can feed a family of four!
So we hatched this crazy idea.
What if our genesis, as official full-time "Piano Guys," could be "crowd funded?" What if we offered special packages to people in exchange for their support to help us get our wheels off the ground? I am a founder. I remember back in 2011 when I'd first listened to Michael meets Mozart; eighteen-year-old me was floored. I had to show your videos to my entire family, and within a short period of time, they were all hooked. We came to see you in Singapore in 2013, though I'm sure you might not remember us, what with the hundreds of thousands of people you've met and who's lives you have touched with your music.
I'm tearing up as I write this, embarrassingly enough, because words cannot describe how much your music means to me. You guys have inspired me to keep playing, and to compose myself though I can only hope to have a fraction of the incredible talent and passion you pour into your videos. I managed to persuade my mother to let me contribute to the founders programme because I recognised that you guys could be great and that you deserved to have as many people as possible listen to your music. To have as many people as possible feel like I do.
So thank /you/ Piano Guys. You've changed my life in ways I could not imagine. And I hope you continue to create music and inspire people for many years to come.

This rendition holds a special place in my heart. I chose this for my wedding in 2017. 2 years later, I played this song throughout my pregnancy. My son was only a few months old, his expression completely changed as this played. I believe he recognized the melody.

+Ambishion Entertainment I learned using a cheap MIDI keyboard hooked into my computer at first, cost me about $60 including the cables I needed for it. Worked out well enough, and over time I've been able to invest more money into it.

I remember almost ages ago when I was still in school, I listened to their offer of "being a founder" after having only done this for six months and Jon joking about living "in a box down by the river". I remembered wanting to donate but having no money of my own as a child. I was like "man I hope these guys survive". Through the years, I relied on them for study music and now here they are. Thanking their founders in the most beautiful way possible. I wish I could've joined the ranks of those who have their names on the instruments, but hey, life gets in the way sometimes right? Really glad to see them come this far after so long. Thanks PianoGuys for all those late night study sessions.

I love coldplay, but to be completely honest I choose this arrangement EVERYTIME. I think the chorus really brought it together with the heavy piano outlined by a unique set of violin slides. Also thumbs up to the bass they used, for a non signatured instrument it brings an extra texture and the arrangement would certainly be incomplete without it. Last but not least, the synth arrangement could NOT have been better fit to accommodate to the surrounding textures of music. Well done Piano Guys, may your music live on forever!

I struggle with adult attention deficit, and prayed I might be able to focus on important studies as I prepare for critical work certifications. Shortly after...I came across The Piano Guys--THANK YOU!!! Love how it is so up-beat and positive and relaxing at the same time.

I wanted to used this song for my wedding, but I couldn't find a version I liked. I was hoping you guys would cover it, and kept checking your channel weekly, just hoping and praying that you would. One month before the wedding, my wish came true. I used it as my procession music. I couldn't stop beaming the whole time. The most important people are those who you support, and those who support you. My music teacher told me to never give up, and she is the most important supporter in my life besides God. My music teacher was my Mom. She taught me piano and cello and supported me when I tried to learn harmonica. My Mom was amazing. She died a week before my wedding last year, but I know she is smiling at me and still is there to support me.
I think of my darling husband every time I hear this song. I look up at the sky and know he's watching over me. I saw Coldplay in SLC Ut. Saw Piano Guys many times. Saw them today at the LSD Conference Center. Oh wow. It was sooo good.

SimpleHowToVideos Yes... I know... It doesn't matter though because you don't hear the music they're playing in the video here either... It's just a lot of video editing and some sound recording in a professional, silent, recording room. How else would they get the perfect music quality with a camera flying around? It is probably on a drone, which has fans on it (rotors) which will make a lot of noise, ruining the quality.
