I think when people say they’d use a tarot deck as an oracle, it means they wouldn’t apply it to their current system of interpretation. In an oracle deck, each card conveys just the creator’s point of view (which can be anything), unlike standard tarot decks which blend the creator’s perspective on an already established tradition.
So when using tarot as an oracle, you let go of your existing card associations and treat it as a completely new thing unconnected to any system.
I hope that makes sense.
i believe that the tarot is a classic with archetypes that will always be revelant, any new addition is welcome but the classic doesn't have to go away.

Thank you Simon for a great walkthrough as always. I did chuckle along with you when you drew four traditional majors. The message I took from that is, whilst we are open to embracing change as the world evolves, this deck is not intending to usurp tried and tested tradition but offer the potential for additional perspectives. Those will show up when they need to.

This focuses much more on the internal journey of the questioner. In removing the minor suits John Mathews it strips back or separates from the physical realm. I think what this addresses is the new understanding we have of spirit. Loved the video and thanks for the discount code. Yes I have already parted with my money. 👍

I’ve been waiting impatiently for more info and review of this deck, so a huge thankyou from me! I’d like to see a few commentaries on some cards from the guidebook , even for the traditional RWS major arcana. I will definitely be ordering this deck....

I love that size card. The image style reads vintage to me rather than 'new'. I think I'd rename it - maybe the Fool's New Journey Arcana (or Oracle) or System, not tarot. Don't care for the backs but love the images on the fronts. They look good in a spread.
I get what you’re saying, but for me if the deck contains all of the major arcana, then it’s tarot deck. The art style is very clear which allows for intuition with the cards the time less familiar with at the moment.

It looks interesting and I have many of his decks and his wife's too. I just find ridiculous the price on amazon when decks are coming out... I will wait a year for it😂and if I still think it is good then I get it😂
because of the lack of Suit cards, this particular deck would have been better called an Oracle. personally, the first deck that I have encountered with a change in the Tarot trumps sequence and names was the Gaia Tarot. Lovely presentation, thank you!

I'm afraid I'm going to he one of those people 😅. In my mind this is an oracle. The thing that makes tarot tarot is its a system and the suits are a key part of that system. That doesn't take away from it of course. It's a stunning deck and really well thought out. And this is just my opinion on what makes a tarot which is personal to me.
I'm very tempted haha. I might hop on over to oneness emporium and just do some window shopping for now 😂 (famous last words) x
That's dangerous. I suppose the question to consider then is 'Are majors only decks tarot?' For me if all of the major arcana are in a deck then it learns towards tarot for me. I think there would've been people at the time of the 1900s thinking that illustrated pips changed the meaning of tarot.

Honestly, I wasn't sure about this deck when you first described it. But watching the walkthrough, I saw so much in the cards! They are definitely reader-friendly, even for a beginner. This is one I'll be purchasing. Thank you so much for this video!

Further development will probably happen on a virtual level, as humens we are still very tactile. Touching on a physical level is still very important.
In these fast-moving times, a new "Tarotsystem" has no change of working its way into the Akashic Cronicle. When I work with the tried and testet system, I connect with countless users across the centuries.

I've been imagining a deck just like this! This makes me so excited, I love the fresh approach. I like that some themes are now their own separate cards, like The Prisoner, which I would have previously lumped in with the 8 of Swords or the Devil. And I love the distinction between the Hierophant and the Teacher! Sure to spice readings up!Looking forward to giving myself a reading with these!
