Hello. Do you mind me asking- how long did you leave of unknotted cord at either end when making the strap? I’m struggling to know how much to leave. At the moment the strap seems short

Beautiful bag ☺️ I am trying it myself and by now i have finished the bag strap. I have left about 150cm of the cord on each side (from the strap) will it be enough? Because the other cords for the bag are 180cm
Hi, I hope you finished your bag♥️ The bag is given with fringe calculation. Cord consumption also depends on the rope type and how tightly you knot. it is desirable that it be at least 170cm to continue the pattern🫶🏼

Hi I have a question about the mesure of the cord needed : is it 60 centimeters or 6 meters ? Is it 40 centimeters or 4 meters ? Is it 22 centimeters or 2,20 meters ? Is it 18 centimeters or 1,80 meters ? Please can you reassure me. This my very very first time doing macrame. Thanks

When the strap is ready, the ends schould be ab. equal to the folded length of the body bag cords = ~90cm

Please follow the video and turn on the subtitles. Cords 4 meters (knowing comes from the cords middle, that is, 2 meters in work for each side). Working cords are in the middle, in the center of knotting - these are long cords of 6 meters (3 meters in work for each side).

@@hh0369 The strap length is 110cm, that is, 55cm on each side. Pay attention, that the strap stretches or springs and accordingly the length increase up to ab.120cm. Wenn the strap is completed, the ropes should be about the same length as the next cords added (ab 180cm). The cords length is designed for a bag with a fringe, if your strands after knotting the strap are a little shorter, this is not critical. I hope I understood your question correctly.

Such a pretty phone bag. I don't know why but I had some problems with the cord length. I cut what it said but for the strap the ends never were close to the same length and four cords were only about 50cm so I had to shorten the strap so that I would have enough length for the bag, I read that you said 170cm, and I assumed you meant 85cm each cord. When I knotted the bag itself I ran out of cord about 2/3 of the way through so I had to make a shorter bag, about 1 and a half flowers. It still turned out nicely but I'd like to know why the cords were too short? Next time I'm going to add a metre to each cord just to be sure lol. Thank you.
Hi, thank you for your feedback🙌🏼 I'm sorry you had that experience with your bag. but now you really know what length it is better for you to use. The difference in cord usage may depend on how tightly you tie the knots.
La terminación la puedes realizar volteando la bonita y haces la mima operación y antes de llegar al centro cruzas las tiras de las azas y tejes los dos últimos nudos y tendrás los cuatro hilos centrales y cortas te quedará perfecto, gracias
Guadalupe como estas serías amable, y me.ñodrias explicar esas medidas de esos cordones el tutorial muestra 400 CM, quiere decir en la cinta métrica 4 veces 100? Es que como se van a cortar cordón de 400 CM? Vi que escribes en español por eso me atreví a pedir ayuda en la aclaración.

Pay attention, that the handle stretches or springs and accordingly the length increases up to 120cm. When the strap is completed, the strands after knotting should be about the same length as the next threads added. The length of the threads is designed for a bag with a fringe, if your threads after strap knotting are a little shorter, this is not critical.

I am confused on the strap. Are the 600 cm supposed to be on the inside or outside when making the knot? I used the 400cm on the inside so was that wrong. I still have alot of the 600 cm left but a little of the 400cm.
Hi, yes, 600cm cords should be inside. Place the longer cords inside, because you use them to make knots, they will have a bigger length consumption
What about the length of the strap? Is there a certain length it should be? I am having problems with the 7th row where it looks like you skip 6 cords on both sides but mine won't come out correctly. I had to skip 8. It wouldn't lock the knots together with 6. Sorry for so many questions and thank you for answering me.

Thank you for the question, I made 55cm knots on each side from the middle. The strap stretches a little. 170cm long strand is enough to continue the pattern

Mam which cord is for suitable for purse
with braided macrame cord (as I have in the video tutorial) it will be easier for you to work. 1ply or 3ply twisted rope is also suitable for the bag. I used 3mm thick macrame braided cord
