  • I broke a tuning peg on my Caramel baritone ukulele by tightening the screw on the peg too much. I guess I was in a hurry. So, I ended up buying four nice brown pegs on Amazon Prime for $9.99. Here's the link to the pegs I got: tinyurl.com/yyzrp8je
I took the brown pegs off the tuning machines they came with and installed all four on my Caramel uke. I put the three good Caramel pegs on the new tuning machines so I'd have some nice spares.
Some ukulele pegs have screws on the pegs and others don't. I was glad not to have to remove the tuning machine but only the peg. If your new machine didn't match up with the holes on your old one, you be making new holes in the headstock, which wouldn't have wanted to do on what is essentially a new ukulele.

I replaced the knobs on a number of my ukes with chrome metal ones, they're actually complete guitar tuners, 6 for $8, the tuners sometimes don't work so well but I usually just need the knobs.

I would have liked to have purchased just a single Caramel black knob, or have Caramel send me one, but they didn't respond to my emails.
