I just wanted to put in one point about the board sides. If you're playing with a group who are comfortable with games, the colourful side works fine and works well to get people interested in the game. Taking the board out with the black & white side had people shy away thanks to it's "boring" look. It is definitely easier to see the spots, but just wanted to point out that consideration ^^
Tyler: That's great to hear that you've discovered other worker placement games while waiting for Euphoria to be produced. I hope you enjoy it when you're able to unwrap it tomorrow. :)
I know you guys mentioned making the deluxe components available for an upcoming kickstarter, but is that going to include the greyscale game board? I really want that.
This is great Jamey, thanks for putting it together! Funny, way back when I backed this game, I had yet to play a Worker Placement game and it was all Greek to me, but I was so attracted to the theme and components, and caught up in your energy that I went for it anyway. So glad I did, Worker Placements are one of my favorite game types right now. Euphoria is currently wrapped and sitting under my tree for myself, can't WAIT to break it open and play it over the Holidays!
Forgot to mention, now that I have a grasp of Worker Placements and have seen this video, I know I'm going to love it. Tzolk'in and Alien Frontiers are two of my favorite games, and I see similar play styles of both of them here. Sure fire hit!
Great overview! I read the rules and still learned a couple of things from this video! One question, can you have more than one of your own colour authority star on a single market? Or are you limited to one PER market? Thanks.
Renjii44 Thanks! You can only have one authority star of your player color on each constructed market. So in a three-player game, there could be up to 3 different stars on each constructed market.
Hey, I just found out about your game yesterday. It looks amazing, and went straight to the top of my wishlist. I must have it. I was a bit sceptic about the really colorful board, since I am colorblind and it looked messy and the colors (to my eyes) were difficult to differenciate, but the black and white board is super! It makes it playable for me. I just wonder, before I buy it, is the B&W a kickstarter exclusive or does it come with the regular version as well?
Hi Chris, thanks for your comment. The black and white board is only available for the Kickstarter version, but if the color board is completely unusable for you due to color blindness, feel free to contact me directly and I could sell you the double-sided board for the cost of shipping.
Jamey Stegmaier Thank you so much. I will try to see if I can use the regular board, but when I've looked at pictures of it on the internet many of the colors blend into eachother and I have a hard time to tell some areas apart (play areas and background). If I cannot use it I will contact you. I appreciate your offer so much!
Jamey Stegmaier Hey again Jamey! I finally got a hold of your game today. It was not just as good as I thought it would be, it was WAY better! I love it so much, and I think It's my favorite worker placement game ever. I can't wait until I get to show it to other people in my regular gaming group. And I am happy to say that the color of the board was not as confusing for me as a feared initially after looking at it online on a computer screen. It doesn't strain my eyes and I am able to use it without having any trouble. I thank you again for your kind offer, but I don't think I will need the greyscale board anyway :) Thanks.
chris stavaas That's great to hear, Chris! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and that the colors worked out for you. I hope you continue to enjoy running the dystopia. :)
Hi Jamey, in a 2-player game, if both players begin with active recruits of the same allegiance, does this change the game up much from when they start with differing allegiances ?
Ricky: It definitely would have a different feel than if they start with recruits of the same allegiance, but it would also lead to more interaction on that faction's commodity area. Given that all the recruits have different special abilities, your individual strategies will still differ.
Jamey Stegmaier Thanks for answering. Does that also go for workers on a "Temporary Use"-action space? Or can they repeat the action next round, by paying the cost?
Hi Jamey, im a fan of hybrids with plenty of strategic depth + good mechanics (euro), but also plenty of direct interaction (laced with theme). Also im looking for a fun dice allocation game. Ideally with some meanness - but not as mean as Alien frontiers. Euphoria seems to fit the bill. Would u agree? And any others u would suggest. btw Even though u made this game, i trust ur answer, since ur videos+blogs + responses show integrity. Kind regards, Salman.
Thanks for your question, Salman. As you noted, I'm the designer, so I may not be the best person to answer this question. Based on what you described, that is what Euphoria is, though it would not hurt for you to look at some reviews to see if it's a good fit for you: stonemaiergames.com/games/euphoria/media/
Here are a few cases of interaction: 1. A few of the recruit cards give you abilities that interact with other players. 2. Allegiances are often shared by players, so if another player moves the allegiance marker, it benefits you and them. 3. On the commodity areas, the sum of all players' dice there impacts the benefit received by each subsequent player to place a worker there. 4. You typically build markets with other players, which is good for those who participated in the building and bad for those who didn't participate.

Severian: I wish we could, but that was a Kickstarter exclusive. Also, it's much bigger than what we could fit into the deluxe resource box.
Jamey Stegmaier is a solo variant really happening?

Thank you for making this game. My wife and I are going to love it. Also, thank you for running the best Kickstarter I have ever been a part of.
Wow, thank you Ansley. That means a lot to me. I hope your family enjoys the game!
Jamey Stegmaier Well, 3 games in and my game group and I are in love with your game. My wife likes it as well.

Thank you. This is the best explanation for Euphoria I've seen on the net.

thanks Jamey ! i hope to get a gameplay video up on my channel soon :) Decidng how best to show... one faction or players with differing factions....
Ricky Royal If you do a full walkthrough, showing players with different factions would be key. I look forward to seeing it!
'Build a better dystopia' .. hehe.. sounds as a serious game of fun! :)
If I have a worker permanently on the farm, does he produce food every time my turn come around?
Tom: Good question. You only collect resources when you place a worker, not after that.
Jamey Stegmaier Thanks for answering. Does that also go for workers on a "Temporary Use"-action space? Or can they repeat the action next round, by paying the cost?

Thanks for the prompt reply!
Apart from 'bumping', is there any other direct player interaction in Euphoria?
Here are a few cases of interaction:

That sounds great!
I think I'm gonna get it :-)
Btw thanks for taking time out of ur busy schedule. Respect!
When is ur next game or kickstarter?
My next game is Charterstone. It's scheduled for a 2017 release, and there won't be a Kickstarter for it. :)
Juzt wondering if there are rules about trading resources between players?
Yep, you can initiate trades on your turn.
Jamey Stegmaier Thank you! Couldn't find this in the rules anywhere. and thank you for making this game it is so fun.
Love your game Jamey!
+ToThePointGames Thank you! :)
You sold me!
