    Thanks for the prize! Still gonna stick with the work fusees on lighting them in wet conditions. I have yet to see one put out other than when it's completely burned up. I've throw some in the snow and in one of the smalls ponds and they still burn. Not sure how easy it would be to light I the striker got wet though I'll have to try that out

    I keep some tender with me in my bag for in case there are wet conditions. I also have some of those wet fire fire starters and a lighter.

    really good idea :) definitely elevate on dry as you can rocks,. then we use gorse as it will light when its wet. the gorse to use is the dead light brown coloured stuff. this assumes you are carrying a function lighter or two. here in the west highlands of SCOTLAND it is constantly wet. IT IS FOOD THOUGHT TO MAKE CERT AN ONE HAS ALTERNATIVES. :)
