Despite the dilemma whether to respond or not to respond to the videos that have surfaced from your end and viewed amongst the assessor’s community, decided to go ahead with the comments to see that the issues get resolved. The logo of DRDO too drew my attention towards the issues.(Is it appropriate ?) a) Retired or not retired we all still belong to the services fraternity and need to uphold the values of the services, more so when we all are assessors. b) DIPR shouldn’t have been dragged especially Ex Director DIPR, Dr Manas K Mandal and the present Director. Producing the video showing what the Ex Director spoke and displaying the DO letter written to you in the public domain without consent is not appropriate. Dr Mandal is such a person who encouraged officers and scientists to do research. In the letter written to you also, he does the same. c) The content of the letter only states “ a write up and a presentation for an internal discussion be forwarded. Post internal discussion decision may be taken. d) The intent of Dr Mandals talk and the content of the DO letter never authenticates the claim made by you in the video. The intent of the speaker by mentioning that “am the custodian of the selection system but I may not clear the same” is like “Ramakant Achrekar cannot become Tendulkar and Tendulkar cannot become Achrekar”. Both have achieved success in their own roles. e) The letter was written with a good intent and projecting it to be an authority for your institute to be the only one cleared by DIPR is a misleading statement. DIPR never authorises coaching by private organisations nor recommends the credibility of any private institutions for coaching on selection process. f) It would do a lot good for the fraternity, if the issues are reconciled by conversations with your retired brother officers from the services and your colleagues from Psych Technique posted with you in Bhopal(the ones being discreetly and indiscreetly referred). g) Each technique has its own uniqueness, and it would be inappropriate to comment on other techniques without being qualified on it, that too on a public domain. h) Lastly, coaching is done by the respective services for service entries and sainik schools have their own method of coaching. Am sure none follow the concept of AFOSOP advocated in the video to be the credible one and the best. Then why one should be bothered about what the other organisations are practicing in the civil world? 2. Am sure you would reconcile after you introspect the content in your videos once more. The contents, the tone and tenor would do no good and neither would it be good to quote DIPR. Could see many more comments conveying your content to be one of settling personal scores. I too truly believe the same from the contents 3. This is the first and last post on the issue.

Dear Sundaresan Bala Sir, I'm writing to express my disappointment, anguish and hurt that you as my Instructor at DIPR, during my GTO leg training in 2005, played to the tunes of Cdr (Dr) NK Natrajan, just based based on Problem Symptoms and completely disregarding the Problem Cause - making yourself party to the crime now and that’s unfortunate. I say this because, Cdr (Dr) NK Natrajan created one fake Captain Rishi Nayak and thorough him, he conveyed to me that some credible colleague in the services, who now unfortunately turns out to be you, who testifies that I use to mislead/ fool people, even while I was in service. Sir, I don’t even fool gullible SSB Aspirants, who can be so easily manipulated, whom most SSB Coaching see them as a source of easy money through a highly manipulative training model; then how can you say that I use to fool people while in service - that’s untrue and demeaning Sir. Let me assure you Dear Sundaresan Bala Sir, as my former instructor and head of Training at DIPR in 2005, you and my two Instructors at 14 SSB and other two GTO's posted in 14 SSB then, have taught me very well and I will never let all of you down - that’s a soldiers word. I am very proud of them for what they have trained me for and I will continue to respect them, even though their perspective towards me has been completely distorted - I am aware those are the consequences of my visible actions. And now that you've become a part of this situation, I request that you ask Cdr (Dr) NK Natrajan to clarify the reasons behind serving me a Legal Notice on 05 Mar 2024. In that, specifically, I'd like to know why he is demanding an unconditional apology from me, across all social media platforms and a substantial compensation of Rs 2 Crores, despite the fact that the matter was already considered closed on 03 Mar 2024. Dear Sir and all assessors, today I am compelled to revel the ROOT CAUSE behind by continued behaviour of a particular kind, appearing to be targeted against Cdr (Dr) NK Natrajan or against AFPA, especially after this Book Review video - yes, on surface it looks like that, since I am also into the domain of SSB Coaching and I was involved into the project, titled PERCEPTION MANAGEMENT OF CANDIDATES FOR IMPROVED SELECTION. This process prevents the individual from consciously acknowledging or dealing with the repressed content, often to avoid feelings of anxiety, guilt, or shame. Mr Ashok Kumar and all Technical Officers’ will definitely understand it. PROJECTIVE TECHNIQUE: The details are already known to all Psychologist (DIPR trained or otherwise) and Technical Officers - it’s also given in the above Book Review video, so not elaborating here. It says subjects responses are not consequences of sheer accidents, but are determined by covert psychological attributes. Candidate is is less defensive as he is not aware regarding his unconscious material is being reflected (projection) - hence resulting in spontaneity of thought, which influence the behaviour. The TAT responses individual reveals UNCONSCIOUS MATERIAL, reveals emotions, conflict, motives, gives GLOBAL view and less affected by situational factor. And all TO's & DIPR Psychologist will now that the Interpretation of TAT is a SUBJECTIVE IN NATURE and is TIME CONSUMING. If you see the purpose of TAT, to a trained assessor it helps to reveal some of the DOMINANT DRIVES, EMOTIONS, SENTIMENTS, COMPLEXES AND CONFLICTS OF PERSONALITY. Special value resides in TO/ Psychologist POWER TO EXPOSE the underlaying inhabited tendencies which the subject is not willing to admit or cannot admit because he is UNCONSCIOUS OF THEM. The two key words with in the TAT are: (a) THEME: Here the subject builds up the theme around his feelings, needs, emotions, requirements and press which help or hinder him to fulfill the task. (b) APPERCEPTION: It means the COMPLEX and CONFLICTS which influence the present behavior activated by the STIMULUS DEPENDING ON THE PAST EXPERIENCE - that means giving meaningful interpretation to the perception. All Technical Officer’s and Psychologists will also know about THE PRINCIPLE OF ASSOCIATION: simply put, Association of an idea is a well known principle in which one idea, object or experience reminds some other idea, object or experience events - in that there is one LAW OF SIMILARITY: Similar objects are easily remembered. WAT helps us to understand: (a) Identify repressed ideas, thoughts or impulse. (b) Identify areas of conflict, interest, needs. (c) Detect guilt and complexes. (d) Emotionally disturbed areas. (e) Habitual Criminals. So behind my visible behavior, that you all have commented through your respective post, I respect that and you are right in your interpretation about me and I would assess myself - then it is a case for ANGULARITY and in today’s circumstances - I WILL NOT RECOMMEND MYSELF. Reason - SEVER FACTOR-II PROBLEM. If I was a Technical Officer I would give initial Marks: say 52 (ANGULARITY) But when I had actually gone for my SSB did they miss something? NO. Hello, Lt Col Ganesh Babu, I am an Ex Psychological Assessor (Technical Officer as you’ve referred Service Officers in your video). We have never met nor have we ever spoken to each other. I saw your entire video mainly since I was keen to know the review done by a GTO (not trained on Psychological Assessment technique per se) on a book (Purely for reference purpose) written by a trained Psychologist. But despite viewing the post for the entire duration, to my disappointment, I could not find any professional review of the book per se but pick and choose parts of the book to criticize presumably under the assumption that the aspirants are told to memorize the contents. Further, major portion of the screen time seems to have been utilized to settle personal scores with another academy under the garb of professional review of a reference material. On one hand you have harped upon ethics and ethos but on the other hand you seem to have chosen a public platform using book review as a ruse to settle personal scores. Only a person trained on the technique knows that attributes cannot be hidden or masked in psych technique just by memorizing stories and responses. Hence your premise that the aspirants from the academy obliquely referred by you are able to clear SSB using rote memory itself seems ill-founded and baseless. Thus the said allegation attempts to discredit all those aspirants who worked tirelessly to improve their attributes and got recommended on merit.
Dear Lt Col Ganesh Babu, I came across your videos on *Critical* review of a book by Ashok Thamburaj. In process of your so called review, I find reference of AFPA & our 17 assessors in one of your videos which has since been deleted. I, being one of them, and having known you since your GTO course trainee days, thought it prudent to respond. Your angst against AFPA, I feel, is more due to our number of footfalls, which your programme has not been able to garner. You run some capsule called 'Self Management Leadership', which you claim to be DIPR appreciated based on a DO letter. The DO letter was in response to one written by you. The DIPR DO letter talks about some internal discussion to be carried out to take up your concept as a Project. It would be interesting to know if any such discussion took place? Was your Concept taken up as a Project? If so, what was the outcome? To the best of my knowledge, DIPR is not into Perception Management of aspirants. AFPA is more a passion than a business for Cdr Natrajan. All 17 of us are aligned to it's goal and we are conscious of our duties towards the nation and the young aspirants. Trust me, we do not teach or encourage the aspirants to *doctor* their responses. All of us, you included, know that one can not hoodwink the SSB assessment system. My conscience is clear and so I had to respond to your direct reference of AFPA & our team. It takes a lot to put together a team and much more than that to make it deliver. Buddy lemme tell you, i have been to both AFPA and Afosop, there's nothing like he is jealous or envious, Sir is speaking facts, and talking about results of Afpa due you know the amount of students they fill in one batch and how many batches they have in total? Also they have tie ups with various sainik schools and rms where these military schools send their potential cadets to AFPA.
Hi, Lt Col Ganesh Babu, I have served in the same centre as TO where you were posted as a GTO. I was a bit surprised with the critical analysis of a book written by an experienced and trained psychologist by you as a GTO, who has not been trained by DIPR for psychological assessment. However on going through your video I could not see any relevant and valuable points. The author of the book has not impressed upon at any time to memorise anything out of the book. It is sad to note that you have lost faith in the technique that has stood the test of time and is so strong. You are also undermining the capabilities of the TOs posted in various selection centres. Does not seem to be in good taste as a brother officer. Please do not doubt the training capabilities of DIPR, especially the TOs training. This is like doubting the entire robust system of DIPR which has been put in place since the selection process started, training academies were there then too. In case you have any doubts on the training process of the Academy you are refering to, kindly speak to the Cdr and visit the Academy. My suggestion to you as a brother officer is to avoid such public platforms for raising personal suspicion.
Hello Lt Col Ganesh Babu (Retired), watched your video ‘Critical Book Review’ of a book written by Mr Ashok Kumar, ex Psychologist. The only reason I watched the full video which lacks objectivity, relying on personal bias using unbalanced tone was due to my obvious interest in the subject being an ex TO. You have claimed to have been trained in DIPR as a GTO (not as a psychologist/ TO), however, while commenting on a technique in which you are not trained for assessment, you feel that any person can mask the personality by remembering stories. This claim itself belittles the institute like DIPR and its senior scientists, which you have mentioned a number of times sounding to be credible, for developing a technique which can be ‘easily compromised’. The book review has seemingly been done without reading the contents as the author, Mr Ashok Kumar has never ever impressed upon memorising the contents as a mantra for success in SSB interview. Keeping the professional rivalry aside, it was expected from an officer who’s been an assessor himself to have spoken to the author or other assessors associated with AFPA, to understand how the training imparted helping the candidates to perform well. Comments of many candidates above, who have claimed to have gained a lot by the training in AFPA though may not have cleared the SSB is a testimony to the efforts being put up by Cdr Natarajan and assessors in developing the personality of youngsters. I don’t want to take this communication forward by getting into mudslinging but will expect positive assessments/ reviews keeping the professional rivalries aside.
After watching complete video , i get to know about army ethics and integrity of army . The core value of our indian army is very strong . Sometimes i also think ki agar hmm life enjoy hi nhi kr paa rhe toh officer kyu bnna hai , apne decision hmm le nhi paa rhe toh kaise fauj ko chaloge, eye opening video for me . I had been to sbb 7 times and i couldn't get the recommendation. But at this time i am very happy that life is soo great , life will automatically adapt you for the any type of profession . We have to just try try try ... No need to worry about results. After watching afosop video it will put a lot of pressure on my thinking to think about ssb procedure. I also want that type of teacher who strong my core value and show me road . I will walk on that road without any support, able to think , generate my creative skill .

Hi Ganesh, have been associated with you for quite some time earlier and I think we had met at Nagpur airport the other day too. I have gone through the video and it seemed it was not the same person whom I had interacted with years earlier. See if you have a problem with this particular academy that you are targeting and quoting consumer affairs rule, I suggest please file a case against them in case you feel so strongly about it. Then, rather than giving anything constructive in the video it seems you are venting your frustration, NO, it's more like ranting. Maybe your training method/ venture is not doing too well. If this is an exercise in your wanting to improve your viewership and increase your followers,you sure are achieving the same. Why would someone discuss the techniques in public with you and who are you for God's sake. Are you a trained psychologist or are you teaching all three techniques to gullible candidates on your forum or has your company run out of steam and needs a scapegoat to rejuvenate. Mano ya na mano sir ka main issue is that he is not getting as much candidates as AFPA is getting which is also situated in Nagpur itself. Let us assume for the time that Lt. Col Ganesh sir is right and the candidates who all are following the contents of the mentioned book for their preparation and applying them in their SSBs. So according to sir the candidates should never get selected as they memorized the contents and wrote it in tests and definitely the assessors are well trained like Dr. Manas K Mandal to see through fake candidates. But how those candidates are getting selected. I’d go for someone who can help me get out of such mindset and help me develop not just to join armed forced but to become a good human being. The video is total nonsense. Being student of afpa. I know they not teaching to mislead the system. Actually teacher bluntly tells our mistakes and helps us work on it. Even I didn't got recommended but I can say s I had best time of my life there and learnt many things which i never learnt in school college days. sir being a afpa student and personally assessed by ashok sir i can say he is a gem ❤...this book only used as a refrence by candidates sir never ask for his book during class and he just trained in 14 days and may be you also then without a proper pattern if someone just focused on mansa and mansa it's boring and it's a long process... Very right sir, to be very honest these academies coach/tip the students which they already are aware of (is common sense). Instead of forming individual responses they try to give certain guidelines on every test especially the most famous one, i.e., all stories and WATs must be positive. sir, if you are so sure of refining a candidates into good personality . what are your results of your coached students? how many didn't get selected and why didn't they get selected? did you forsee and told to those students that you'll never get selected in ssb based on your expertise? do you take their money knowing that these students are not going to make it but still take their money ?
if you watched the video, you should have watched the clip of Dr Manas K mandal, Ex DIPR scientist (Sir agreed on his argument as said in video) , His argument was "I make the selection process but if I were to go in there again I would fail, even 100 times" (not exact phrases but in my memory). We can conclude thus that Sir also claim that I cannot make you recommended or give you result, But I can give you the tools, through which will help you in unfamiliar situations (just my perception I've not coached under Sir) which will help not just in SSB but in later life.
Clearly we are living in an era of information and unfortunately whole internet is filled with noise and over promising and underdelivering content which boost confidence but when we use those information and act often not able to act and achieve goal as per info as it's rosy superficial info with no relevance to reality and individual personality as Yuval Noah harari describes in his book that if you give good People bad information they will make bad decision .

I feel proud to say that I’ve better common sense than the people who have commented by saying they are one of the assessors . First thing I’d do is to run away from someone who says hide your suicidal tendencies. Leave an army officer, it’s scary to even have a friend who is prone to suicidal thoughts. First thing I’d do is to help him come out of such mindset . This is what is called as an OLQ. For this you needn’t be an assessor in SSB or DIPR scientist. If you’re a person with a common sense, you’ll be able to understand this . Anyone with basic common sense will run away from such people who misguide you. I'm glad sir took up this topic regarding psychological assessment in SSB. I've always been a defence aspirant, and after my first unsuccessful attempt in SSB, where I was c/o, I resorted to coaching. However, instead of getting to know more about the process and tailoring myself for that somewhere, I felt that all that we are being provided are quick fixes and tips. In psych, especially, there's a tremendous irony of being natural to the responses despite repetitive remarks on every single possible response, be it in TAT, SRT, or WAT. All these left me perplexed by my core assessment of myself, although it somewhat gives the candidates a sense of pseudo-confidence to face the SSB board. It is commendable what Sir is doing by questioning the accountability of the coaching centres, and since none but we are the consumers of these, it is also our duty to support and raise such types of initiatives.
Col babu sir provides concept based clarification not selection based coaching. He never ever spoke about selection in ssb . Its totally personality development based pgme.
Sir what's your take on coaching being given by people who have never been recommended or recommended once and now running SSB business such as SSB Wings , SSB Psyche etc. please get these people also in sights . Regards

I have read these books, attended SSBs and these coachings. Personally, I believe there is no book. The reason behind that is you will write excellent responses during psychology tests. But during GTO or Interview your answers will not align with your responses in psychology tests cause those were preconceived and not natural responses of your own. Hence you will not get recommended. Best way in my opinion is just write whatever comes to your mind. Then evaluate the response yourself and think of better response for the same question. This way you will train your mind and body into that thinking as well.
There is a book called "AHAM AWAM VAYAM" by Gp.Capt. A.K. Shrivastava. I believe this book be might be of a great help. This book is completely different from books that are available in the market, as it doesn't contain any sample answer to any of the test of ssb. Instead it makes you aware of the reason of the particular test and what is expected out of you in the same.

1. Despite the dilemma whether to respond or not to respond to the videos that have surfaced from your end and viewed amongst the assessor’s community, decided to go ahead with the comments to see that the issues get resolved. The logo of DRDO too drew my attention towards the issues.(Is it appropriate ?)
a) Retired or not retired we all still belong to the services fraternity and need to uphold the values of the services, more so when we all are assessors.
b) DIPR shouldn’t have been dragged especially Ex Director DIPR, Dr Manas K Mandal and the present Director. Producing the video showing what the Ex Director spoke and displaying the DO letter written to you in the public domain without consent is not appropriate. Dr Mandal is such a person who encouraged officers and scientists to do research. In the letter written to you also, he does the same.
c) The content of the letter only states “ a write up and a presentation for an internal discussion be forwarded. Post internal discussion decision may be taken.
d) The intent of Dr Mandals talk and the content of the DO letter never authenticates the claim made by you in the video. The intent of the speaker by mentioning that “am the custodian of the selection system but I may not clear the same” is like “Ramakant Achrekar cannot become Tendulkar and Tendulkar cannot become Achrekar”. Both have achieved success in their own roles.
e) The letter was written with a good intent and projecting it to be an authority for your institute to be the only one cleared by DIPR is a misleading statement. DIPR never authorises coaching by private organisations nor recommends the credibility of any private institutions for coaching on selection process.
f) It would do a lot good for the fraternity, if the issues are reconciled by conversations with your retired brother officers from the services and your colleagues from Psych Technique posted with you in Bhopal(the ones being discreetly and indiscreetly referred).
g) Each technique has its own uniqueness, and it would be inappropriate to comment on other techniques without being qualified on it, that too on a public domain.
h) Lastly, coaching is done by the respective services for service entries and sainik schools have their own method of coaching. Am sure none follow the concept of AFOSOP advocated in the video to be the credible one and the best. Then why one should be bothered about what the other organisations are practicing in the civil world?
2. Am sure you would reconcile after you introspect the content in your videos once more. The contents, the tone and tenor would do no good and neither would it be good to quote DIPR. Could see many more comments conveying your content to be one of settling personal scores. I too truly believe the same from the contents

I'm writing to express my disappointment, anguish and hurt that you as my Instructor at DIPR, during my GTO leg training in 2005, played to the tunes of Cdr (Dr) NK Natrajan, just based based on Problem Symptoms and completely disregarding the Problem Cause - making yourself party to the crime now and that’s unfortunate.
I say this because, Cdr (Dr) NK Natrajan created one fake Captain Rishi Nayak and thorough him, he conveyed to me that some credible colleague in the services, who now unfortunately turns out to be you, who testifies that I use to mislead/ fool people, even while I was in service. Sir, I don’t even fool gullible SSB Aspirants, who can be so easily manipulated, whom most SSB Coaching see them as a source of easy money through a highly manipulative training model; then how can you say that I use to fool people while in service - that’s untrue and demeaning Sir.
Let me assure you Dear Sundaresan Bala Sir, as my former instructor and head of Training at DIPR in 2005, you and my two Instructors at 14 SSB and other two GTO's posted in 14 SSB then, have taught me very well and I will never let all of you down - that’s a soldiers word. I am very proud of them for what they have trained me for and I will continue to respect them, even though their perspective towards me has been completely distorted - I am aware those are the consequences of my visible actions.
And now that you've become a part of this situation, I request that you ask Cdr (Dr) NK Natrajan to clarify the reasons behind serving me a Legal Notice on 05 Mar 2024. In that, specifically, I'd like to know why he is demanding an unconditional apology from me, across all social media platforms and a substantial compensation of Rs 2 Crores, despite the fact that the matter was already considered closed on 03 Mar 2024.

There is term called REPRESSION - it is a psychological defense mechanism that involves pushing uncomfortable, painful, or threatening thoughts, memories, or desires into the unconscious mind. This process prevents the individual from consciously acknowledging or dealing with the repressed content, often to avoid feelings of anxiety, guilt, or shame. Mr Ashok Kumar and all Technical Officers’ will definitely understand it.
PROJECTIVE TECHNIQUE: The details are already known to all Psychologist (DIPR trained or otherwise) and Technical Officers - it’s also given in the above Book Review video, so not elaborating here.
It says subjects responses are not consequences of sheer accidents, but are determined by covert psychological attributes.
Candidate is is less defensive as he is not aware regarding his unconscious material is being reflected (projection) - hence resulting in spontaneity of thought, which influence the behaviour.
The TAT responses individual reveals UNCONSCIOUS MATERIAL, reveals emotions, conflict, motives, gives GLOBAL view and less affected by situational factor.
And all TO's & DIPR Psychologist will now that the Interpretation of TAT is a SUBJECTIVE IN NATURE and is TIME CONSUMING.
If you see the purpose of TAT, to a trained assessor it helps to reveal some of the DOMINANT DRIVES, EMOTIONS, SENTIMENTS, COMPLEXES AND CONFLICTS OF PERSONALITY.
Special value resides in TO/ Psychologist POWER TO EXPOSE the underlaying inhabited tendencies which the subject is not willing to admit or cannot admit because he is UNCONSCIOUS OF THEM.
The two key words with in the TAT are:
(a) THEME: Here the subject builds up the theme around his feelings, needs, emotions, requirements and press which help or hinder him to fulfill the task.
(b) APPERCEPTION: It means the COMPLEX and CONFLICTS which influence the present behavior activated by the STIMULUS DEPENDING ON THE PAST EXPERIENCE - that means giving meaningful interpretation to the perception.
All Technical Officer’s and Psychologists will also know about THE PRINCIPLE OF ASSOCIATION: simply put, Association of an idea is a well known principle in which one idea, object or experience reminds some other idea, object or experience events - in that there is one LAW OF SIMILARITY: Similar objects are easily remembered.
WAT helps us to understand:
(a) Identify repressed ideas, thoughts or impulse.
(b) Identify areas of conflict, interest, needs.
(c) Detect guilt and complexes.
(d) Emotionally disturbed areas.
(e) Habitual Criminals.
So behind my visible behavior, that you all have commented through your respective post, I respect that and you are right in your interpretation about me and I would assess myself - then it is a case for ANGULARITY and in today’s circumstances - I WILL NOT RECOMMEND MYSELF. Reason - SEVER FACTOR-II PROBLEM. If I was a Technical Officer I would give initial Marks: say 52 (ANGULARITY)
But when I had actually gone for my SSB did they miss something? NO.
Then what happened now? Why such a behaviour now?

Hello, Lt Col Ganesh Babu, I am an Ex Psychological Assessor (Technical Officer as you’ve referred Service Officers in your video). We have never met nor have we ever spoken to each other. I saw your entire video mainly since I was keen to know the review done by a GTO (not trained on Psychological Assessment technique per se) on a book (Purely for reference purpose) written by a trained Psychologist. But despite viewing the post for the entire duration, to my disappointment, I could not find any professional review of the book per se but pick and choose parts of the book to criticize presumably under the assumption that the aspirants are told to memorize the contents. Further, major portion of the screen time seems to have been utilized to settle personal scores with another academy under the garb of professional review of a reference material. On one hand you have harped upon ethics and ethos but on the other hand you seem to have chosen a public platform using book review as a ruse to settle personal scores. Only a person trained on the technique knows that attributes cannot be hidden or masked in psych technique just by memorizing stories and responses. Hence your premise that the aspirants from the academy obliquely referred by you are able to clear SSB using rote memory itself seems ill-founded and baseless. Thus the said allegation attempts to discredit all those aspirants who worked tirelessly to improve their attributes and got recommended on merit.

I came across your videos on *Critical* review of a book by Ashok Thamburaj. In process of your so called review, I find reference of AFPA & our 17 assessors in one of your videos which has since been deleted. I, being one of them, and having known you since your GTO course trainee days, thought it prudent to respond.
Your angst against AFPA, I feel, is more due to our number of footfalls, which your programme has not been able to garner.
You run some capsule called 'Self Management Leadership', which you claim to be DIPR appreciated based on a DO letter. The DO letter was in response to one written by you.
The DIPR DO letter talks about some internal discussion to be carried out to take up your concept as a Project. It would be interesting to know if any such discussion took place? Was your Concept taken up as a Project? If so, what was the outcome? To the best of my knowledge, DIPR is not into Perception Management of aspirants.
AFPA is more a passion than a business for Cdr Natrajan. All 17 of us are aligned to it's goal and we are conscious of our duties towards the nation and the young aspirants. Trust me, we do not teach or encourage the aspirants to *doctor* their responses. All of us, you included, know that one can not hoodwink the SSB assessment system.
My conscience is clear and so I had to respond to your direct reference of AFPA & our team. It takes a lot to put together a team and much more than that to make it deliver. Try it....you will appreciate the efforts.

Sir I had joined AFOSOP classes in 2022 on the pretext that I would gain some value from so called SML program. But sir I didn't get anything at all. Leave any lessons of SML, Lt Col Ganesh sir didn't even check my single TAT response. My comments also get deleted when I ask him questions on RUclips.
As an aspirant I’d never follow someone who says to hide Suicidal Tendencies. Sad to see people like you are part of such academies . Cos of people like you there are depressed officers and who go to the extent of suiciding and all by escaping SSB.

Buddy lemme tell you, i have been to both AFPA and Afosop, there's nothing like he is jealous or envious, Sir is speaking facts, and talking about results of Afpa due you know the amount of students they fill in one batch and how many batches they have in total? Also they have tie ups with various sainik schools and rms where these military schools send their potential cadets to AFPA.

I was a bit surprised with the critical analysis of a book written by an experienced and trained psychologist by you as a GTO, who has not been trained by DIPR for psychological assessment. However on going through your video I could not see any relevant and valuable points. The author of the book has not impressed upon at any time to memorise anything out of the book. It is sad to note that you have lost faith in the technique that has stood the test of time and is so strong. You are also undermining the capabilities of the TOs posted in various selection centres. Does not seem to be in good taste as a brother officer. Please do not doubt the training capabilities of DIPR, especially the TOs training. This is like doubting the entire robust system of DIPR which has been put in place since the selection process started, training academies were there then too. In case you have any doubts on the training process of the Academy you are refering to, kindly speak to the Cdr and visit the Academy. My suggestion to you as a brother officer is to avoid such public platforms for raising personal suspicion.

Hello Lt Col Ganesh Babu (Retired), watched your video ‘Critical Book Review’ of a book written by Mr Ashok Kumar, ex Psychologist. The only reason I watched the full video which lacks objectivity, relying on personal bias using unbalanced tone was due to my obvious interest in the subject being an ex TO.
You have claimed to have been trained in DIPR as a GTO (not as a psychologist/ TO), however, while commenting on a technique in which you are not trained for assessment, you feel that any person can mask the personality by remembering stories. This claim itself belittles the institute like DIPR and its senior scientists, which you have mentioned a number of times sounding to be credible, for developing a technique which can be ‘easily compromised’. The book review has seemingly been done without reading the contents as the author, Mr Ashok Kumar has never ever impressed upon memorising the contents as a mantra for success in SSB interview.
Keeping the professional rivalry aside, it was expected from an officer who’s been an assessor himself to have spoken to the author or other assessors associated with AFPA, to understand how the training imparted helping the candidates to perform well. Comments of many candidates above, who have claimed to have gained a lot by the training in AFPA though may not have cleared the SSB is a testimony to the efforts being put up by Cdr Natarajan and assessors in developing the personality of youngsters. I don’t want to take this communication forward by getting into mudslinging but will expect positive assessments/ reviews keeping the professional rivalries aside.

After watching complete video , i get to know about army ethics and integrity of army . The core value of our indian army is very strong . Sometimes i also think ki agar hmm life enjoy hi nhi kr paa rhe toh officer kyu bnna hai , apne decision hmm le nhi paa rhe toh kaise fauj ko chaloge, eye opening video for me . I had been to sbb 7 times and i couldn't get the recommendation. But at this time i am very happy that life is soo great , life will automatically adapt you for the any type of profession . We have to just try try try ... No need to worry about results. After watching afosop video it will put a lot of pressure on my thinking to think about ssb procedure.
I also want that type of teacher who strong my core value and show me road . I will walk on that road without any support, able to think , generate my creative skill .
Sir, ratther than getting into this sort of thing you should have focused to see why candidates are not finding you credible. Sir agar kaam na chale to frustrate to hona theek hai lekin yeh kar ke mere jaise log kabhi bhi aap se nahi judenge, kisi ne bataya to thoda sa video dekha. See if you have a problem with this particular academy that you are targeting and quoting consumer affairs rule, I suggest please file a case against them in case you feel so strongly about it.
Then, rather than giving anything constructive in the video it seems you are venting your frustration, NO, it's more like ranting. Maybe your training method/ venture is not doing too well. If this is an exercise in your wanting to improve your viewership and increase your followers,you sure are achieving the same.
Why would someone discuss the techniques in public with you and who are you for God's sake. Are you a trained psychologist or are you teaching all three techniques to gullible candidates on your forum or has your company run out of steam and needs a scapegoat to rejuvenate.

Hi.. hope you remember me. How are you. Seen your Videos in which you were criticising an institution and a person. Really shocked to hear the language used by you to prove your point of view. As a layman I have the following to say
- *Firstly*, you were not acting as a critic for the book written by an author, but was trying to demean him by questioning his Integrity and what not.
- *Secondly*, if at all you are analysing a book, you just do that why are you challenging him to come and spk to you and explain the facts. Hope it is not to sought out some personal issues.
- *Thirdly* if you didn't like the content, put the book aside. Why should an author ring you up and explain to you as to why he has written that. I fail to understand. Whome you are trying to impress.
- Hope you are aware that this is called *Lime Light Seeking Tendencies*. If you cannot increase the length of your line, start erasing others. Isn't it????
- Tell me how many books you have authored.......? What are your credentials for acting as critics.
- *Fourthly* you have questioned an institution imparting coaching to students for SSB. Get your facts right, it is not illegal and also who are you to comment on their procedures or has DIPR told you to do that. And again you are asking an officer to have a debate on that.... Again who are you????? You yourself can speak to them, If at all you want to.. Now don't tell me you don't have their mob no. tell me I will provide you so that you can speak to them.
- *Fifthly* Imparting coaching to the students to enhance their performance in the exam is not illegal. And don't act as a custodian of SSB techniques. You are not. Moreover the assessors at SSB are very well trained to see through and through a candidate. So don't worry I am sure they can do *दूध का दूध एंड पानी का पानी*.
- *Lastly* please maintain the decoram of an Army officer on a public platform. The language used by you is of extremely low standards and an un officer like. It shows your extreme frustration and helplessness. Please refrain from using such language.
Mano ya na mano sir ka main issue is that he is not getting as much candidates as AFPA is getting which is also situated in Nagpur itself. Let us assume for the time that Lt. Col Ganesh sir is right and the candidates who all are following the contents of the mentioned book for their preparation and applying them in their SSBs. So according to sir the candidates should never get selected as they memorized the contents and wrote it in tests and definitely the assessors are well trained like Dr. Manas K Mandal to see through fake candidates. But how those candidates are getting selected. According to Ganesh sir's logic if the candidates are getting selected that means the whole SSB System is corrupted they are ruining the nation till date. Isn't it???

The video is total nonsense. Being student of afpa. I know they not teaching to mislead the system. Actually teacher bluntly tells our mistakes and helps us work on it. Even I didn't got recommended but I can say s I had best time of my life there and learnt many things which i never learnt in school college days. If working on self is fooling system then no one should join army. Defence aspirants unsubscribe and save your time.
sir being a afpa student and personally assessed by ashok sir i can say he is a gem ❤...this book only used as a refrence by candidates sir never ask for his book during class and he just trained in 14 days and may be you also then without a proper pattern if someone just focused on mansa and mansa it's boring and it's a long process... Very right sir, to be very honest these academies coach/tip the students which they already are aware of (is common sense). Instead of forming individual responses they try to give certain guidelines on every test especially the most famous one, i.e., all stories and WATs must be positive. sir, if you are so sure of refining a candidates into good personality . what are your results of your coached students? how many didn't get selected and why didn't they get selected? did you forsee and told to those students that you'll never get selected in ssb based on your expertise? do you take their money knowing that these students are not going to make it but still take their money ?
if you watched the video, you should have watched the clip of Dr Manas K mandal, Ex DIPR scientist (Sir agreed on his argument as said in video) , His argument was "I make the selection process but if I were to go in there again I would fail, even 100 times" (not exact phrases but in my memory). We can conclude thus that Sir also claim that I cannot make you recommended or give you result, But I can give you the tools, through which will help you in unfamiliar situations (just my perception I've not coached under Sir) which will help not just in SSB but in later life.

I feel proud to say that I’ve better common sense than the people who have commented by saying they are one of the assessors . First thing I’d do is to run away from someone who says hide your suicidal tendencies. Leave an army officer, it’s scary to even have a friend who is prone to suicidal thoughts. I'm glad sir took up this topic regarding psychological assessment in SSB. I've always been a defence aspirant, and after my first unsuccessful attempt in SSB, where I was c/o, I resorted to coaching. However, instead of getting to know more about the process and tailoring myself for that somewhere, I felt that all that we are being provided are quick fixes and tips. In psych, especially, there's a tremendous irony of being natural to the responses despite repetitive remarks on every single possible response, be it in TAT, SRT, or WAT. All these left me perplexed by my core assessment of myself, although it somewhat gives the candidates a sense of pseudo-confidence to face the SSB board.
It is commendable what Sir is doing by questioning the accountability of the coaching centres, and since none but we are the consumers of these, it is also our duty to support and raise such types of initiatives.
Exactly the assessors says to give natural response, but every candidate including me back then was in a race to be positive and LIE there itself.
Sir.its of no use of honesty and shouting out for truth.gone are those days where honesty and truth were valued.just accept and move on.

I have read these books, attended SSBs and these coachings. Personally, I believe there is no book. The reason behind that is you will write excellent responses during psychology tests. But during GTO or Interview your answers will not align with your responses in psychology tests cause those were preconceived and not natural responses of your own. Hence you will not get recommended. Best way in my opinion is just write whatever comes to your mind. Then evaluate the response yourself and think of better response for the same question. This way you will train your mind and body into that thinking as well.
Psycological assessment , or maybe something written by Ex Scientists which includes methodology rather than blunt answers
There is a book called "AHAM AWAM VAYAM" by Gp.Capt. A.K. Shrivastava. I believe this book be might be of a great help. This book is completely different from books that are available in the market, as it doesn't contain any sample answer to any of the test of ssb. Instead it makes you aware of the reason of the particular test and what is expected out of you in the same.
I watched so many videos in witch some ex NDA GC were advertising his book it's like paid promotion.
