My first car was a 1968 Mustang... a refugee from the junk yard bought by my older brother in 1977. He was a Vietnam Vet who taught me how to weld/braze and rebuild an old car on a budget. Sadly, he passed due to the clot shot. Watching your videos reminds me a lot of him even though I'm 65. Thanks for your videos. Every little detail that you mention is useful for all of us. I bought another 1968 Mustang coupe from Tennessee at online auction sight-unseen. It's a 289 automatic with a vinyl roof (gone really bad) and all of the typical problems. Your videos are gold to me.
Nodular 9" are definitely more desirable. Much stronger than the WAR 9". But the WAR are still pretty strong. For huge power nodular is the ticket, currie industries makes them aftermarket.
The left shackle is supposed to have one bolt welded to each shackle bracket. That allows easy install. Also, did the 8” diff pull the drive shaft further out of the trans?
Thanks for sharing this great video.

That is one nice pony. You ran into the normal obstacles. I like the hardtop. Keep at it.
