It's so sad how things turned out for them. I have just finished reading her auto biography wiritten in 1996, a year before Diana died. The palace machine ruined both of these marriages. We know now that Charles wasn't in love with Diana but these two did love each other and still do. I hope that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be allowed to be happy in their life together.

@royalcourtier Please don't go blaming Diana for taking lovers because the whole world knows that Charles had a lover BEFORE that marriage even started. A lover who was, herself, married to another man.

oh you are absolutely right....but the person who first had an affair should be blamed more! so i'm sorry if your little prince charlie gets blamed a lot, but i think he deserves it!
Anyone can get married in either places! Just might cost a lot! They are places of worship and don't belong to The Queen. But, yes I believe members of the royal family need to get permission to marry from Her Majesty.
Why is only the one ring blessed and the groom's ring so quickly slipped on?
I know, I noticed that. It was like she couldn't see what she was doing and just slapping it on his finger. Weird.
The blessing was for both rings. The bride clearly had a veil on which partially blocked her view, and these events have a strictly timed schedule.
Prince Andrew was very handsome when he was young. In my opinion, he needed someone innocent, kind, witty and beautiful. I'm not saying Sarah wasn't beautiful, but I think she was one of those girls who chose 'looks over books'. Its always been said that modesty is beautiful, but I don't think Sarah listened to that. Other matters aside, isn't it funny I recognized it was Charles who was going to speak the moment he cleared his voice ? Even his cough has a certain Britishness to it !

No, I doubt whether the Queen would allow Sarah to come back into the Royal family considering all the scandals she has got into ! Sarah is a such a bankrupt woman and a scandalous woman, now !
