The ethical train dilemma is a problem that hinders AI on a global scale, ie. self-driving cars; What if a car drives on a thin mountain road, then goes around a blind spot corner, and suddenly there's a person on the road. A computer can certainly react faster than a human, but like us, the car it controls is hard bound to physics. At instant reaction time, brake distance still has a minimal distance. The computer is faced with 2 options; move off the cliff killing the driver, or hit the person in the road. Giving a prefixed bias programmatically is even worse. If we chose to bias towards killing the person in the road, then people could abuse this with careful planning, to settle personal vendettas and blame the car. If we chose to bias towards driving off the cliff, you can also murder simply by figuring out someone's routine and walk in front of someone's car in ambiguous and inherently dangerous traffic situations.
But like you said for this to work you need to be going around a blind spot corner and somewhere like a cliff, where making a sharp turn away will kill the driver. And who has a routine somewhere like that and it'd be pretty hard to justify just walking around there. Plus it'd be near impossible to time it exactly right since you won't be able to see around the corner. I also don't think the AI will be programmed to prioritize the non-drivers. Plus most AI applications only stop the car and personally I think that's it should stop.(pun unintended:)

Just out of curiosity, do you mention "I do not own the footage" because you believe that any people watching this will be confused and think you do own the footage? Or is it more because you think that doing so will lead to you not being penalized by either RUclips or MGM Studios? Because, honestly, there really is no need to put that in the title. No one thinks "Ovaali Virta" owns Stargate: Atlantis, and saying that you don't own it does nothing...if you are breaking the rules or laws, you get dealt with, whether or not you are claiming or denying ownership.
I would LOVE to go on an expedition to an unknown/alien place, planet, ship, etc.! Endless opportunities to prank the new gullible people with real or made up stuff like "flying monkies" (although those were real), terrible, horrifying diseases that you are suoer contagious though transmissible via yet unknown means, scary creatures, devices, aliens, etc.! I would have the time of my life, on top of already having the time of my life doing the best job in the world! Hehe!
I have a related experience in New Westminster in the early 2000's, I was waiting for the Skytrain, to go to Choir Practice. And a young couple, with a 3 year old girl, rolled up next to me, and I use to stand on the very edge, and they went parallel to me. And when I never looked at them or her, they dumped her onto the tracks infront of me, as the skytrain rolled into the station. I jumped onto the tracks and the mother reached out for the child, I held her close and said, "no, you tried to kill you child, you donot get her back. Another women can have her.. till the ministry can find her a home". Then another lady ran forward and took the child and then I got off the tracks, just missing my foot by milimeters.
this show is one of my first memories watching media with my father, every time we went and saw episodes until we fell asleep, I joined on this show like in season 2 or 3 but because I was a child I nearly remembered shit anyway. the only episode I can remember was the one where 2 of bitches from the crew fought a war game but it's in an actual planet so people can actually get hurt. also the one where Atlantis just rises to the sky or something like that

I've been watching a ton of these clips and i saw it was on Hulu so i went to rewatch and i didn't even get through the first episode, they had cut a bunch of scenes.
They cut out all of the part where Dr. Weir and several of the main cast are saying goodbye to their families and Dr. Weir is talking about the difficulty of going to a place they may never return from. I figured if that was cut then there were going to be other scenes that I enjoyed were gonna be cut. Thankfully I own all of the seasons on dvd

EHM, what is that?
Also, you are so right
@@raijyn2452 Emergench medical hologram. Star Trek voyaget
My favorite series of all time. I ll watch it again for the third time starting today!
13:03 haha!!! Simple but accurate
Rodney's sarcastic, teyla is the levelheaded one, Ronan is the fighter, and Sheppard is the suave sharpshooter
Anyone noticed a guy who is King of Atlantis
5:06 Definitely my favorite. Top class trolling by those three.
Trolling? They're asking serious questions about the situation. Except Sheppard... He is totally trolling...
0:33 isen this the same location they used in a SG1 episode ?
I thought so too. The one with the dome on the poison planet!
@@jackychang9148 Christopher Heyderal was in that too.
Great clips. Thank you for the upload, I'm defo ready to watch it all again now :D
Xander Fett you know on feb 15th the new Stargate series is coming out called Stargate Origins
Maybe you need a key... It's not a Volkswagen 🤣🤣
My turtles...so funny
OMG YESSSSS!!!
"I can imagine the jokes *and* the entrails flying" 😂
i have the complete collecshion
Weir's face at 6:10 all but SCREAMS "Really Rodney? REALLY? ugh"
oh lord jason momoa's wig at 3:02 is really.... something.
Braiding hair shows victories for khals. ;)
"Well it's just that you both said 'sorry' in that cute little Canadian way... Sorry." Amanda Tapping is Canadian.
Explains the constant smiling at their jokes.
If you haven’t watched it yet; If you can find it; “Cube”, with David Hewlett, is worth screening at least once.
@12:15
What coulda gone down for that instead:
Sam: "I did, and they tell me she's gonna name him Rodney"
McKay: "Really?!"
Sam: "Nnno...Actually Meredith."
In my opinion Sheppard was a bit of a bullying jack ass. Gate ship has more power to it as well as describing its function. Puddle Jumper is cutesy crap.
9:06 what is this episode? I don't remember x)
I think it's the episode entitled " The Outsiders".
@@wardoc0435 yeah, wraith want to take those who survived the hoffan drug.
5x12
And they make good soup... Now that's funny!
Mckay's panic is my favorite character
In SG1 it was Gateship.
In SGA it was Puddle Jumper. Me I want to ride both ☺️
Just out of curiosity, do you mention "I do not own the footage" because you believe that any people watching this will be confused and think you do own the footage? Or is it more because you think that doing so will lead to you not being penalized by either RUclips or MGM Studios? Because, honestly, there really is no need to put that in the title. No one thinks "Ovaali Virta" owns Stargate: Atlantis, and saying that you don't own it does nothing...if you are breaking the rules or laws, you get dealt with, whether or not you are claiming or denying ownership.
10.46 anyone give me the title and series and episode number of that one please please please pretty please thanks
Atlantis , S02 E014 "Grace Under Pressure"
@@tortue71 thank you got it finally

My wow main is named JonSheppard. I love Stargate. Although, I stopped playing wow.
this show is one of my first memories watching media with my father, every time we went and saw episodes until we fell asleep, I joined on this show like in season 2 or 3 but because I was a child I nearly remembered shit anyway. the only episode I can remember was the one where 2 of bitches from the crew fought a war game but it's in an actual planet so people can actually get hurt.
also the one where Atlantis just rises to the sky or something like that

Is it just me, or do all of the best of Atlantis humor videos consist of taking the piss out of Rodney? 😄
Rodney was an arse, even Hemiod had to take a shot him a couple of times
Holy crap i just realized stargate atlantis was doing the train dilemma long before the internet did. :P
Lol
Fuck, I loved watching this show with my dad.
The problem with "Life Sign Detector" is that it would shorten to "LSD".
That normalizer is killing my ears
nice work. Congrats.
Plus de 30 secondes avant le début de la vidéo, c'est dommage...
I miss this show :( seen it three times and probably will watch again once I am caught up with the expanse
Carter foreshadowed Continuum
I bet that Canadian joke was put in because Tapping is Canadian in real life.
Watch out they wiggle..
Love the 2 min intro
Loved Ronan's report, very simple and to the point.
Carson and Rodney in the dart still cracks me up.
The Å should not be used as an A, it's pronounced like a long "O"-sound.
Except that's not what they're using. They're using the symbol on the Stargate that represents Earth as the point of origin in place of the A. The symbol of a pyramid with a star above it.
I've been watching a ton of these clips and i saw it was on Hulu so i went to rewatch and i didn't even get through the first episode, they had cut a bunch of scenes.
What scenes?
They cut out all of the part where Dr. Weir and several of the main cast are saying goodbye to their families and Dr. Weir is talking about the difficulty of going to a place they may never return from. I figured if that was cut then there were going to be other scenes that I enjoyed were gonna be cut. Thankfully I own all of the seasons on dvd
It's on Prime now and same a few scenes are cut out here and there. I got the box set on DVD and spot it every now and then.
why is this not on viaplay or hbo :(
I love when sheppard gave her the fruit that mckay wanted to give her. Man he is clever and mean.
It's coming back you know ??.
I was just watching this in 2019
And I want to say THANK YOU

Puddle jumper reminds me of the Mitchell and Webb skit with the naming of discovered territory.😂
Anyone remember Lexx? Damn Canadians made some great sci-fi in the early 2000s
Isn't that just a show for the horni
To bad the ship doesn't make Turkey Sandwichs, however the Hammond has asgard virtual technology, so why not
My babee …Jason Momoa I love you ❤
