I've read "America: The Farewell Tour" and wholeheartedly agree with Hedges's analysis. A hard rain's a-gonna fall. The only question is: how hard? The Rev. I'm not religious but even I know that American Christianity is diseased and corrupted, especially on the right.. As Chris says, Jesus did not come to earth to make us rich. The theocrats in the ruling class have co-opted Christianity in order to justify their ideology of greed and self-worship. It's a disgusting perversion.
This is one of the most important books Americans and American workers should read.

It is incumbent upon each human being to practice their humanity & share this innate wealth with others.

Haven't read the book yet, but gonna try and pick it up at the local library today. Been watching his latest talks on the book and so I am interested...even though I disagree with him on violence he still brings wisdom to the table of the Left!

Hedges writes so well. I also agree with his ideas but he writes so much more succinctly than most....

This not only only happening in US but you can also see this undisciplined and disorderly condition growing in major social media platforms and internet.
The challenge is to bring this rhetoric into the Overton window. Possible? Maybe but only once the system has been weakened sufficiently.

My Predication is major wall street crash before 2020 and the democratic party has completely failed and should be swept aside sadly it looks like the only man who could do that senator Bernie sanders is unwilling to do it and instead he has wasted valuable time on trying to prop up a decaying party. It will be interesting to see if the times makes the man and if a major crash will push him to create a new party.
