They're better than quite good they 5hit all over my Mexican Fenders for playability and feel.
I modded my JS400 with ToneRiders, new switches and pots and locking tuners and I'm not joking when I say it plays as well as my American Professional
I LOVE the necks on Jet Guitars

@@ronniboi312 yeah i want to sell a js 450, quite like it in any case, and then get a js 800 for the fixed bridge and relic feel. There's something about them that is good. I'll see how it goes. If it had a more dense body like ash I'd love it.

Yep, I have the JS-1000 QTBL, and is amazing. The finish and the quality control on these guitars are top level. And the neck is smoother than butter. Can't wait to see more versatility from Jet.

I bought a Fender Player Telecaster for £567, and if Jet had been around I'd have bought that black Jet he showed instead by a mile! Locking tuners! A humbucker! Push Pull pot! Roasted Neck! And beautiful aesthetics! Everything my fender doesn't. And I'd have saved £267 for a second guitar! I'm gutted to be honest! Fender & every other guitar manufacturer should be worried, the quality of Jet guitars looks the best to me in the budge £150-£300 price range. I'm definitely getting one whereas I was going to get an Ibanez or Squire before! I think the name and logo are also excellent, and being a relatively new brand there is none of that Squire v Fender v Price v quality issue.....they just stand alone. I'm ver impressed.😳🙏

Hi guys. I have the Jet JS300 left handed in sea foam green. It arrived just over a week ago and it's the best guitar I've ever owned. I've been playing guitars since the late 70s had 2 Fender player series Strats plus Ibanez and Gibson Les Paul copies and I find the neck on the Jet JS300 amazing and sounds great. Great guitars that are great to play and well made. It's nice to see that you get a good quality guitar for the money. In my opinion you won't get a better guitar with roasted Maple neck and bone nut for the same money. The finish is great.

  • @yiannisfaitakis
    @yiannisfaitakis Год назад +2

The interviewer is playing it safe and downplaying how good these instruments are.
These aren’t ‘beginner guitars’ but really well made and high quality ones, ridiculously good for the money they cost. I bought a Jet js400 in surf green and it is the guitar i play ever day resulting my 2 MIM strats and teles to pick dust.
It is the first guitar I am not fighting the neck to play. The necks as just incredibly comfortable.
For the money, these really rock and they make amazing moving platforms.

Cheapest signature should be a Les Paul Junior style, bolt-on, single humbucker with coil tap and phase switches (the cheapest and easiest ways to get tone variation). Bolt on neck but with shaping for access (another minimum cost value add). Use a quick connect pickup and provide instructions for easy parts upgrades (pickup, tuners, nut) so a beginner knows where to start in turning it into a true long term keeper guitar. Roll the fret board edges too.

Received my js300 two weeks ago. Put some new strings on (9s) and lowered the pickups, blocked the trem. Just great. Lovely strat tones.
Also have a Fender Strat - 62 repro, bought in 1990.
Love them both. The 62 Fender Strat is probably worth around $2,000 today. I paid under $200 for the Jet. I bought a Squire classic vibe 60s Tele for around $400 a few years ago and thought that was a bargin!
The quality and playability of the Jet js300 has really raised the bar at this price point!!
I'm playing through a Joyo banTamP 20w amp head and a 15inch speaker cab. Compressor, tube screamer and reverb pedals. Love it!!

I've had my jet js300 for a couple of years now and I really like it. The wood and the feel are special but some of the hardware let it down. Swapped the bridge for a Wilkinson and a few frets need leveling but if that's the money you've got I wouldn't look any further than jet. Plus I like the original logo. Also the guitars I've bought at twice the price also needed upgrades to make them nice.

I'd say tone is pretty important! I guess what you are implying is that tone can be changed via a new pickup set.
If I could get 10 cents through to the people at Jet it would be to have some of the higher end ones in less chocolate boxy designs - more trad and vintage. Some of the series are pretty garish.
I mean look at that tele -at 4.47. Who would want to play that?

I was thinking about returning it because of the color but... zap! magic spell! shazam! Oh My Goodness...... something zapped me right there and made me forget the Olympians. What a neck!! What a fretboard! I would never ever give or lend or sell or return such a beauty. Who engineered /crafted this? It seems they have THE chinese wood wizard who polishes it by rubbing nanocrystals until it looks like silk. I LOVE the greenish white color! Who cares? • @jasonkesser
    @jasonkesser Год назад

I think compared to the review, that was a wee bit harsh 😬. What’s not done well on their site or reverb ‘store’ is higher level components as you go up in price. The only reason I know I need a 400 instead of the 300 due to the 2 point trem, is because of your video! But I don’t even know what’s on the 300 which is a shame. Showing that Wilkinson bridge also was very interesting. Details are getting lost. Plus he was nervous maybe about taking flak, and forgot to mention the neck heel cut being more premium. This guitar company is doing some wonderful things, they need some help. Your video was the best on their stuff (always the best, I love you for the Blackstar help alone), but these guys deserve some real serious more extensive deep dive demos. They’ve gotten some decent RUclips coverage, but.
Even just the fact that he mentioned they went black with their logo, I think that bright iridescent logo on their roasted neck turned a lot of people away. So that alone was huge.
And who has ever cared about strings, ever?

I'm interested in them for the shredders heel. I've been wanting a San Dimas (strat body) with a dinky neck heel join (sculpted) for forever... but noone does it!
Schecter come close, with their Sun Valley Shredder, but they eff with body a bit...and further warp its' look by sticking a 24 fret neck on it.
It's important to me that the strat body shape is exact to fender. Just because..... y'know, it's the one you've desired since childhood. 🤷‍♂️
But the heel, I gotta have the heel !
It's on my other superstrats - highly sculpted heel joints - an' I ain't goin' back, not even fo' nostalgia! 😤
But... I'd be happy to pay thousands for such an instrument.
The fact that these are cheap, was not a factor in attracting me to them.
    If anything, it's a concern.
On paper , some of these are dream spec'ed guitars...
..But will they hold their own , quality wise, on my rack of Gibsons, Ibanez, Charvel, Fender (USA AND MiMs...) ?
Because i have found...that as i start upgrading my guitars..the stragglers dont end up getting any play time.
→ Because, why would you pick your Squier Classic Vibe Jaguar when you've got a US Strat sitting right next to it..??
🤷‍♂️ They're not "the same", but they're similar enough (those single coils) that the quality difference becomes the deciding factor in axe selection, on any guven Tuesday..🤷‍♂️
