Shalom dear Ayelet! May I ask you, why you pronounce the SHEVA in the word צלך and you do not pronounce the SHEVA in the word שמרך! Thank you for your response in advance!
Where Adonai (the Lord) appears, the Tetragrammaton (YHWH) is the original appearance of the Divine Name in the Hebrew Scriptures. The reader is actually saying a different word than what appears on the page. He is praised, adored, revered, and relied upon for our salvation, so don't be afraid to use His name. Although not perfectly pronounced, it's an honour that He is owed. The books of Jeremiah and Ezekiel demonstrate this. It is less reverent to muzzle the Almighty's use of his own name, than to mispronounce it. Anyone who has a friend whose native tongue is different than theirs can attest to this. Interestingly the products above refer to the variations in translation of the Son, yet no discomfort in using them, as often as you drink your coffee. The Father's name is most highly to be praised, and therefore should be said daily by his worshippers.
@@TheWORDinHEBREW Thanks ;-) Pealim stresses it on the last syllable though, perhaps to distinguish it from the plural. Is the i (yud) pronounced? www.pealim.com/dict/3168-regel/
