This is so, so good. Thank you! This is where I'm at with my son. He really hates worrying and fights me every time, but he's such a good storyteller. I'm saving this video! Thanks again.

oh, goshs, such fun ideas!!! i tried to get my kids into prompts and such, but my daughter likes to just write and doesn't find them useful, maybe? but they always look so fun!!! and we do use the usborne books, but not regularly. our favorite thing to do here is history!!!

I was hoping you'd cover this! THANK YOU Jessica! I have been in the exact same boat with my daughter who has hated handwriting from preschool (she's now 8). It has been so difficult trying desperately to get her to write "better" and feeling like a failure when I see her same aged peers writing "normally" but this gives me so much hope! 💖

My son is a very reluctant writer. I had him
do Usborne’s My First Story Writing Book. That was great for him, very low pressure! We have the poetry one and science fiction one as well, but we haven’t used them yet. Maybe this summer.
My favorite subject is history. I absolutely hated history in school and didn’t learn much of anything. We use living books instead of textbooks to learn history and now I look forward to learning with my son. He loves playing Way Back When in History even though it’s difficult and takes us a long time to finish. lol He knows the more we learn during school time, the easier the game will get.

You covered this subject at the right time. I was looking for a fun way to encourage writing in an enjoyable way. This is definitely going to help us next school year. Thank you Jessica! You are amazing!
Also, my kids favorite subjects right now are Science and History.

I’d love to see a language arts version of this or how you create your own language arts

Jessica, although I almost never comment, I enjoy watching your videos and have been following you for at least a couple years now. I just started the video and can't wait to hear what you have to say, but can I just say that you look amazing! I'm not the world's best at noticing slight changes in people's appearance, and I don't like bringing up size, but I can tell you've lost weight, and you look great!!

Hi! I know you used Brave Writer before. Is that still in your line up for the school year? If you’re not using it anymore can you share why and what were the pros and cons for your family? Thanks!

These are great ideas! We made a mail-time bin and got a sprocket because of you! And we make scrapbook calendar pages each month (they hang in their rooms). What is your favorite resource for stickers?

My favorite place is Michael's because they will have seasonal pads of stickers for kids that cost like $1.99.
