That's a great day! Coffee, a unique shoot and time with your kid. You might like Astrum film from the Ukraine. Extended red sensitivity surveillance film. Fresh from the factory now. I like the 200 speed as my go to film.
Thank you! I do.. The overexposure was probabally abou 2 1/2 stops (but this a rough guess) as I did just start with Lith as I normally do. and nailed it for the look I was going for first try. Moersch SE5 60 ml A + 60ml B to 1200ml water - Then also added 20ml part D and 20ml Part E additives (both bromide additives) I find the E really interesting as you can really get increased grain clumping with it.
Those prints looked really nice. Was it difficult because of the thin film? Also, now you could gift them few prints next time you visit there. I'm sure they would love them.
They printed fairly well for what I was doing. Straight prints might have been harder to get out the contrast I was after but Lith worked well! I intend to!
Great shots! What paper were you printing on? They came out well. Somewhere I still have a pack of Oriental Seagull Grade 4. I got it because Mike Spry told me he used it and he printed (lith) for Anton Corbijn - which sold it to me anyway...
Thanks! This was Agfa Portriga Rapid. The Seagull is legendary and Mike Spry's Lith prints are probably the main reason I lith print. Some of the best ever!!!
This film costs $11 a roll. Street Pan 400, which is a similar, over-rated surveillance film, cost $12. When you can buy HP-5+ for $8, why would you buy this junk? I did enjoy the video though.
I think if you enjoy trying out new stuff and like the look it would be fun to try. Mostly because it is different. I am more interested in the MNT 100 film that they sent. just not enough light in this place. It seems (according to there description) to be a german Cinema film. Wondering if it is like Kodak 522 film at all. Hopefully get to shoot that at some point.
Nice video. Educational. Thank you.

Thanks for watching!
Pretty cool, I love reviews with actual darkroom prints. Scans don’t do film justice.
Thanks, Scans of prints never do the prints justice either... It is a loosing battle!
great video! your daughter makes it really cool!
Thank you 🙏
Very nice photos. Thank you for your story.
Thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thanks Mike!
Thanks Mike!!!

Great video! Love the end... it's perfect!
Thanks!
Great video. Cool that your daughter wants to be involved. Will definitely try this out.
Thanks! Hopefully she stays interested, I need the help!
@@Distphoto Some day, she might hire you for the still shots when she becomes director of photography for a movie.
@@Kitsaplorax That would be something... Hopefully I can still be shooting film then!!!
@@Distphoto We can always coat paper or mylar with silver salts and shoot large format and make prints.
dude! are you based out of Milwaukee!!
I am up in Green Bay, used to live over on the East side 👍
You in Milwaukee???
Good choice to go for lith prints. The subject suits the lith style. Nice, really nice! Do you remember the dilution and the overexposure?
