NOZZLE INSPECTION made easy with flaw detector GEKKO

The manual nozzle inspection is a new application available within the flaw detector GEKKO. The inspection is made easy thanks to the selection or the custom design of the equipments (specimen, probe, scanner), but also 3D easy CAD design of the nozzle, focal law computation and real-time 3D view with S-scan. The operator defines a trajectory for acquisition from the 3D nozzle then the GEKKO is ready for explicit and real-time display of UT data.
In this video, a 3-axis mechanical scanner is being used. During the transducer motion, the Θ nozzle profile is displayed in real-time taking into account Θ, R, Θ3. With GEKKO, the operator is able to see the profile with variation according to skew transducer and real-time 3D trajectory with S-scan view.
