The quietness is a big plus for me-cutting early in the morning without waking everyone up all around. I like that it is ready to go all the time. My gas saws just sit now.
These electric saws are really awesome.. A pretty much been using this thing all Winter a couple times a week... Definitely the way to go if you don't have to use a saw every day
Very nice saw you got. My needs are much different than yours on a farm. A couple years ago I bought a Kobalt 12 inch bar saw. 40v lithium ion. Very good saw for what I need to do basic yard work. I rarely have anything over 6 inch branches to cut. Mainly use it for much smaller stuff and it cuts it like butter. And like you said, no noise, no gas, easy and quick to use. I got my saw because I was tired of using loppers and hand saw.
If you're in the 40 V line I was just at Lowe's and they reduced their 600 PSI cordless pressure washers to $33 from 150. Figured I'd give you heads up
Appreciate it. I thought I saw that in your last vid. But the yellow sticker said $74 from 150. They must have reduced it further. Great deal, but I don't really have a need for one. Next year when I need one.. i don't have it. Haha. Thanks again. I still might run over to Lowes to see if they have any fire sales
If I had less property I would go green but I have 30 acres 20 of it is woods I have nothing against tool's like that if you need to take care of smaller job's definitely not locust that wood is hard on my STILHS ✌️
@@ScrapFarm Nice. Sorry, I'm asking because I just ordered one from Amazon and it came in - the oil reservoir smelled gross, where I would have imagined it would smell like nothing (or plastic) and there were some scuffs on the blade and housing. Just wondering if I got sold a used chainsaw as new.
No.... Some of these newer batteries will light up when they get temperature sensitive like too hot or too cold the light will light up on the push button and stay on it's happened to me a couple times.... The customer service is pretty good with this company they're usually pretty good about sending you a replacement just make sure you go on the website and register the tool in battery and if it begins to be an issue send it back I think they offer 3 years on the battery 5 years on the tool
Yes but I'm just in the camp that we're a long way away from making a viable commercial grade electric lawn mower it takes a lot of horsepower to cut grass especially when it's tall a normal maintenance cut shure... they're also pretty damn expensive
@@ScrapFarm ok cool, i have ego mower and blower and love them. Tje saw u have looks like it cuts good. I personally think ego is the best battery stuff out there.
@@paulpersons799 I really think it's good stuff too I just like the fact that the company refused to reduce its quality and had to leave Home Depot & a new contract with Lowe's that's badass in my book and worth the extra money. And realistically all this stuff is not that far from each other unless you're buying Festool.in price i mean

Have had this saw for a couple of months and LOVE IT!
They're definitely good
It'd be perfect for folks living in town, really impressed with it's cutting power!! 👌
I have two of these; and I love them. But if you really want to see some performance; use the 7.5ah battery and put on a full chisel chain! WOW!
I'm getting a 20" bar for one of them next month 😁
@John-cj3ve they are mad convenient...
I have had the 14" one for over a year. Love it.
They are good
Amazing video! You put that thing through the wringer right out the box! Love to see it!

U will love it...

Good to see Fred again.
Nice chain saw! My husband has a dewalt for small jobs. He really likes it.
Nice video Bert. It is not scrapping of farming stuff but i like it. And I don't need a chainsaw haha.🇳🇱
I have this saw & battery package. Terrific.

Fred has totally Tom Sawyered you into cutting his wood! lol
Good job done easy when you know how lol Great video Thanks Bert
You can cut down trees all day and into the night.☺ Bet it works great after storms.
Guten abend aus germanii 👍 👌 💪
I have no idea how to use a chainsaw but it looks pretty simple so I bought one of these.
Sweet
Does anybody ever really 'work' when they're running a chainsaw? WAY too much fun!
Merhaba Çok güzel video 21
Bert I'm an old style I like my gas chainsaws electric chainsaws do have a place but not at my place.👍👍😀🇨🇦
It's a good thing you dinosaurs are dieing off. Maybe my grand kids will service to see there grand children. Wake up.

Cool saw. Big Sthil gas powered for a days worth of cutting
Cant believe that Freddy got a way from the hord lol
Is it hard to change the chain ? Great Father’s Day gift for me
Truthfully I don't know yet but probably not
#happyscrapping
Do all those nlogs come from Fred's property?
Fred approved!
Not sure i would buy a battery powered chain saw, but they have came a long way. Since they first came out.
did the oil reservoir smell of oil when you first unpacked it?
I forgot to sniff its hole

I just bought one. I charged the battery fully and didn’t use it, 2 weeks later the battery fully discharged. Is that normal?

I would bet $100 (if I had it) that Fred is not a vegan!
I like it.
love it but those are sum nice box cutters
Come on Ego send Bert some stuff 👍👍
Right
Have you checked out the new ryobi zero turn?

Truthfully at that point I'll just tie some push mowers to the back of my golf cart been there and done that when my lawn mower broke one time
Gravely has some commercial mowers that are electric they are impressive !
@@andrewslagle1974 they probably are but they're also probably 20 grand
A-10
What happen to other one u had
That's what I was wondering. Maybe just wants to switch over from gas powered.
@@samanthab1923 in the beginning of the video I show my 14in that I've been using for the past like 3 or 4 years

I believe ther around 350

Ok wok
👍👍👍💚💜❤️🤗🥰
what they need now is a chain that never needs sharpening that would sell me
I was watching a video the other day, and one of these electric CSaws does have an automatic sharpener. I think it was the Black&Decker.
That not fare chain saw got lite on but r lite all way out lol
WTF? this all looks like drift wood, how about a real test. Bring on the mahogany!
There’s a good reason Skil is copying E-Go. E-Go’s parent company bought Skil.
Makes sense
I paid 600.00; and all I got was a battery 😔
If that saw would last for about 45 minutes like my Stihl on a tank of gas & come with 2 batteries I would get me one.
What would an extra battery cost by itself?
👍🪚🔥
first?
