- This Christian rewrite of “Surface Pressure” takes Encanto's iconic song to a whole new level - and takes us on a journey to the cross.
The song tells of a person striving for holiness under the Old Testament law. He might look good on the outside - but under the surface, he knows his efforts aren't enough. He keeps trying and trying - but under the surface, he's exhausted. "Who can take this pressure?" he sings. The answer, of course, is Jesus.
May this thought-provoking parody be a reminder of how far short we fall of God's righteous standards, and how desperately we need a Savior!

I try searching out Christian parodies. Some are a hit, some are a miss and some like this is pure gold. Not a fan of Encanto or most disney movies. But this parody as well as the other one talk about Jesus, both were excellent. Now im watching other videos by this channel LOL.

Grieving, Wrath, Lust, or any other sin you may be struggling with is not Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. If you have a genuine desire to repent and seek the Lord's forgiveness, then he will forgive you. The Lord always responds to a heart of repentance. Amen to you, brother/sister in Christ 🙏❤️

It was amazing. Right now, where we live, we’re feeling the pressure. A pressure of loss. Our neighbors, yesterday, had lost their 3 year old boy named Valentine. Very sweet boy. He’s now in heaven with God. Please pray for the family

The original song really got me through times of pressure in my service to God, and I always imagined it with the same meaning presented here. seeing it actually done as a Christian song really got me to tears, thank you !
I wouldn't call myself Christian, but I genuinely love how careful and respectful you guys are with these parodies. It is clearly seen how much you love God and your religion, the ideas that are behind it, the very concept of endless Christian love and forgiveness - and yet it doesn't fell like you're forcing it onto your viewers at all. Have been following since "We must talk about Jesus" song, love this one, can't wait to see more.

I cried when I saw this. It's so powerful. Wow. This Encanto version of this song felt like it echoed how I feel - always feeling like I need to be perfect. But this... wow. The vocals are incredible. And it perfectly shows how the Israelites might have felt... struggling with all the laws and rules. Thank you so much.

This was very good timing. I've been struggling with trying to live on my own and do the right stuff but God has been showing me that I can't do anything apart from him. Being reminded I'm not alone and that only Jesus was perfect( he was also God) is helping me give it over to God. I'm discovering the true joy of trusting him to take care of Me, and knowing his plan is best.

God can use anything to reach those He loves. That's why He used Disney songs and youtube. We are just that important to Him. Shows how much He loves us. He carried it all and even after a thousand years He is still reaching out.

I thought " We Must Talk About Jesus" was good, but then I heard "Grace if there was Grace." The little detail in the background at that moment is simply amazing. It shows that Louisa is no longer carrying anything, the weight was removed, by His Grace.
It wasn't till July a year ago in church, that I felt myself drop the pretenses (mind you I even worked in it for quite a few years before that) and fully let Jesus come into my Heart. I stopped feeling this kind of pressure pretending to be self-righteous; when I wasn't. Like, when on earth did I stop thinking of the curse of death?! Thank you Jesus for your saving Grace 😊

This summer I wrote and preached a sermon on this passage in Romans, and I used Encanto's "perfection" theme as an example! Omg I wish this song existed back when I preached it! As a former Jehovah's witness I feel it SO bad, it actually made my cry because of how much I can relate to that pressure. I learnt 1 year ago that Jesus already took that pressure for me and His grace saved me once and for all. I am so grateful 😭🙏🏻

I really like this song. I do feel like there are a lot of Christians that are driven crazy due to religious pressure. That’s why I grew cold.
However, I realize that there’s still people today that resemble the Pharisees that Jesus scorned. They were the type to place religion above human welfare and Jesus was angry because He knew what results that was causing.
As an adult, I realize that religion is a personal and emotional affair and it shouldn’t be compromised by anyone that only thinks they have my spiritual best interest at heart.
