The 13700k doesn’t have 16 big cores, it has 8 performance and 8 efficiency cores. Each E-Core doesn’t have hyper threading so the P cores are using 1 core and 2 threads whereas the E cores are using 1 small core and 1 thread. 14700k with fast ram is the better option if price isnt an issue but for price to performance if you dont want to tweak ram timings and speed and just want something that plug and plays go with 7800x 3d.
Great explanation from a fan prespective, what about multi-core performance? Can you point out how from 4core, 8core, 16, 64 core the difference becomes very deep on the intel side 🫣 I love AMD but buying it youre only buying 1- Fast core.
@@baldsamurai8429 im unsure of what you mean by “1 Fast Core”, 1-2 cores may clock 100-200 mhz higher but on AMD Ryzen CPUs all the cores are fast, my 5900x had 12 cores (2 clusters of 6 cores on 1 cpu) and the max boost clock was 4.8ghz, 2 of the cores will hit that 4.8ghz but the other 10 cores are still at 4.6 and 4.7ghz. So amd cores are all fast cores
Difference lies in single core performance vs multi core performance. Which is the reason behind Intel being a better choice for productivity/heavy workloads, and Ryzen being an all round much better gaming CPU. Ultimately comes down to what you're doing
